Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Thioharnstoffderivates. Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem neuen Thioharnstoffderivat gelangt, wenn man p - Stearoylamino - benzoylchlorid mit Allylthioharnstoff umsetzt. .
Die Umsetzung mit dem Allylthioharn- stoff wird zweckmässig in Gegenwart eines Lösungsmittels, wie Aceton, vorgenommen.
Das neue Thioharnstoffderivat stellt eine pulverisierbare, schwach gelbliche Masse dar, die von Wasser leicht zu einer klaren, stark schäumenden und beim Erhitzen sich unter Verlust der Schaumfähigkeit trübenden Lö sung aufgenommen wird. Das neue Produkt kann als Textilhilfsmittel, z. B. zum Wasser abstossendmachen, verwendet werden.
Beispiel: 4,2 Gewichtsteile p-Stearoylamino-ben- zoylchlorid, hergestellt durch Behandeln von p-Stearylamino-benzoesäure mit überschüssi gem Thionylchlorid in der Wärme und Ab destillieren des überschüssigen Thionylchlo- rids im Vakuum, werden in 20 Volumteilen Aceton gelöst. Zu dieser auf<B>10'</B> abgekühlten Lösung wird eine ebenfalls abgekühlte Lö sung von 2 Gewichtsteilen Allylthioharnstoff in 10 Volumteilen Aceton gegeben.
Das Kon densationsprodukt scheidet sich bald als an fänglich harzige, gelbliche Masse aus. Nach dem Abtrennen des Acetons und Trocknen des Produktes im Vakuum erhält man ein pulverisierbares, schwach gelbliches, in Was ser leicht lösliches Produkt. Die klare wäs serige Lösung schäumt stark und wird nach kurzem Erhitzen trübe unter Verlust der Schaumfähigkeit.

The new thiourea derivative is a pulverizable, pale yellowish mass that is easily absorbed by water to form a clear, strongly foaming solution that becomes cloudy when heated and loses its foamability. The new product can be used as a textile auxiliary, e.g. B. to make water repellent.
Example: 4.2 parts by weight of p-stearoylamino-benzoyl chloride, prepared by treating p-stearylamino-benzoic acid with excess thionyl chloride in the heat and distilling off the excess thionyl chloride in vacuo, are dissolved in 20 parts by volume of acetone. A likewise cooled solution of 2 parts by weight of allyl thiourea in 10 parts by volume of acetone is added to this solution, which has been cooled to <B> 10 '</B>.
The condensation product soon separates out as an initially resinous, yellowish mass. After separating off the acetone and drying the product in vacuo, a pulverizable, pale yellowish product which is easily soluble in what water is obtained. The clear aqueous solution foams vigorously and, after brief heating, becomes cloudy with loss of foamability.
