Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Kondensationsproduktes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem neuen Kondensationsprodukt gelangt, wenn man,u-Heptadecyl-imidazolin in Gegenwart einer Säure mit dem Additionsprodukt von Trimethylamin an Methylolchloracetamid umsetzt.
Die Umsetzung wird zweckmässig in Ge genwart eines Lösungsmittels, wie Eisessig, vorgenommen. Als Säure kann beispielsweise Salzsäure, Schwefelsäure, Essigsäure Anwen dung finden.
Das neue Kondensationsprodukt bildet eine weiche Masse, die in Wasser unter star kem Schäumen löslich ist. Die wässerige Lö sung bleibt im Gegensatz zur wässerigen Lö sung eines Salzes der Ausgangsbase auf Zu satz von Natriumcarbonatlösung klar. Das freue Kondensationsprodukt kann als Tegtil- hilfsstoff verwendet werden.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 6 Gewichtsteile ,u-Heptadecylimidazolin werden zusammen mit 5 Gewichtsteilen des Additionsproduktes aus Methylolchloracet- amid und Trimethylamin in 10 Volumteilen Eisessig gelöst und während 24 Stunden auf <B>100'</B> erhitzt. Nach dem Abdestillieren des Eisessigs im Vakuum erhält man das Kon densationsprodukt als weiche Masse, die in Wasser klar löslich ist.
Die wässerige Lö sung schäumt stark und bleibt, im Gegen satz zur wässerigen Lösung eines Salzes der Ausgangsbase, auf Zusatz von Natrium- earbonatlösung klar.
Process for the production of a new condensation product. It has been found that a new condensation product is obtained if u-heptadecyl-imidazoline is reacted in the presence of an acid with the addition product of trimethylamine to methylolchloroacetamide.
The reaction is expediently carried out in the presence of a solvent such as glacial acetic acid. Hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, acetic acid, for example, can be used as the acid.
The new condensation product forms a soft mass that is soluble in water with strong foaming. In contrast to the aqueous solution of a salt of the starting base, the aqueous solution remains clear after the addition of sodium carbonate solution. The free condensation product can be used as a Tegtile auxiliary.
<I> Example: </I> 6 parts by weight of u-heptadecylimidazoline are dissolved together with 5 parts by weight of the addition product of methylolchloroacetamide and trimethylamine in 10 parts by volume of glacial acetic acid and heated to <B> 100 '</B> for 24 hours. After the glacial acetic acid has been distilled off in vacuo, the condensation product is obtained as a soft mass which is clearly soluble in water.
The aqueous solution foams vigorously and, in contrast to the aqueous solution of a salt of the starting base, remains clear on addition of sodium carbonate solution.
