Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Kondensationsproduktes.    Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem  neuen Kondensationsprodukt gelangt, wenn  man N -     Methyl    -     ss    -     heptadecylbenzimidazol-          chlorhydrat    mit dem Additionsprodukt von       Trimethylamin    an     Methylolchloracetamid    um  setzt.  



  Die Umsetzung wird zweckmässig in Ge  genwart eines Lösungsmittels, wie Alkohol,  Aceton,     Dioxan,    Eisessig, vorgenommen.  



  Das neue Kondensationsprodukt ist eine  weiche Masse, die von Wasser zu einer stark       schäumenden    und bei Zusatz von     Natrium-          earbonat    klarbleibenden Lösung aufgenommen  wird. Es kann als     Textilbilfsstoff    verwendet  werden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  8 Gewichtsteile     N-Methyl-ss-heptadecyl-          benzimidazolchlorhydrat    werden in 20     Volum-          teilen    Eisessig gelöst. Dazu werden 5 Ge  wichtsteile des Additionsproduktes aus     Me-          thylolchloracetamid    und     Trimethylamin    ge  geben und die Lösung während 40 Stunden  auf<B>90-1000</B> erhitzt. Nach dem     Abdestillie-          ren    des Eisessigs im Vakuum bleibt das  Kondensationsprodukt als weiche Masse zu-    rück, die sich in Wasser unter starkem  Schäumen klar löst.

   Die Lösung bleibt auch  nach Zugabe von     Sodalösung    bis zur stark  alkalischen Reaktion klar.

  The reaction is expediently carried out in the presence of a solvent such as alcohol, acetone, dioxane, glacial acetic acid.



  The new condensation product is a soft mass that is absorbed by water to form a strongly foaming solution that remains clear when sodium carbonate is added. It can be used as a textile additive.



  <I> Example: </I> 8 parts by weight of N-methyl-ss-heptadecyl benzimidazole chlorohydrate are dissolved in 20 parts by volume of glacial acetic acid. 5 parts by weight of the addition product of methylolchloroacetamide and trimethylamine are added and the solution is heated to 90-1000 for 40 hours. After the glacial acetic acid has been distilled off in vacuo, the condensation product remains as a soft mass that dissolves clearly in water with strong foaming.

   Even after the addition of soda solution, the solution remains clear until a strongly alkaline reaction occurs.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Kondensationsproduktes, dadurch gekenn zeichnet, dass man N-Methyl-#a-heptadecyl- benzimidazolchlorhydrat mit dem Additions produkt von Trimethylamin an Methylolchlor- acetamid umsetzt. Das neue Kondensationsprodukt ist eine weiche Masse, die von Wasser zu einer stark schäumenden und bei Zusatz von Natrium carbonat klar bleibenden Lösung aufgenommen wird. Es kann als Textilhilfsstoff verwendet werden.
