Description

  

      Verfahren        zur    Herstellung einer neuen     Sulfosäure.    ,    Es wurde gefunden, dass man eine neue       Sulfosäure    erhält, wenn man     ,u-Heptadecyl-          benzimidazol    mit     sulfierend    wirkenden Mit  teln behandelt.  



  Die neue     Sulfosäure    bildet in Form ihrer       Alkalisalze    ein kaum gefärbtes     Pulver    mit  ausgesprochen seifenartigen Eigenschaften.  Sie soll als Hilfsstoff in der Textilindustrie       verwendet    werden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  In 50 Teile     Chlorsulfonsäure    werden un  ter Rühren bei     +    10   allmählich 25 Teile       ,u-Heptadecyl-benzimidazol    eingetragen und  dann das     Gemisch    bei 20 bis     2.5      gerührt;  bis eine Probe der     Reaktionsmasse    sich in  verdünnter     Sodalösung    klar auflöst, was 2'0  bis 30 Stunden dauert.  



  Die Reaktionsmasse wird sodann in eis  gekühlte gesättigte Kochsalzlösung einge  rührt, wobei das sulfonierte Produkt sich als    eine nach kurzer Zeit erstarrende Masse ab  scheidet, die abgesaugt wird.  



  Das erhaltene Produkt wird in heissem  Wasser suspendiert und durch Zusatz von  Natronlauge neutralisiert, wobei eine klare,  stark schäumende Lösung erhalten wird, aus  der durch     Eindampfen    das     Natriumsalz    der       ,u-Heptadecyl-benzimidazolsulfonsäure    ge  wonnen wird.



      Process for the preparation of a new sulfonic acid. It has been found that a new sulfonic acid is obtained if u-heptadecyl benzimidazole is treated with sulfating agents.



  In the form of its alkali salts, the new sulfonic acid forms a hardly colored powder with pronounced soap-like properties. It should be used as an auxiliary in the textile industry.



  <I> Example: </I> 25 parts of u-heptadecylbenzimidazole are gradually added to 50 parts of chlorosulphonic acid while stirring at + 10 and then the mixture is stirred at 20 to 2.5; until a sample of the reaction mass dissolves clearly in dilute soda solution, which takes 2'0 to 30 hours.



  The reaction mass is then stirred into ice-cooled saturated sodium chloride solution, the sulfonated product separating out as a mass which solidifies after a short time and which is filtered off with suction.



  The product obtained is suspended in hot water and neutralized by adding sodium hydroxide solution, a clear, strongly foaming solution being obtained from which the sodium salt of u-heptadecylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid is obtained by evaporation.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung einer neuen Sulfosäure, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man @i-Heptadecyl-benzimidazol mit sulfierend wirkenden Mitteln behandelt. Die neue Sulfosäure bildet in Form ihrer Alkalisalze ein kaum gefärbtes Pulver mit ausgesprochen seifenartigen Eigenschaften. Sie soll als Hilfsstoff in der Textilindustrie verwendet werden.
