Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Kondensationsproduktes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem neuen Kondensationsprodukt gelangt, wenn man Laurinsäureamid mit mehr als 1 Mol und weniger als 2 Mol a,ä -Dichlordimethyl- äther behandelt und darauf das so erhaltene Reaktionsprodukt mit Pyridin umsetzt.
Das neue Kondensationsprodukt stellt eine farblose, kristalline Masse dar, die von Wasser zu einer schäumenden Lösung auf genommen wird. Es kann als Textilhilfsstoff verwendet werden. Beispiel: 199 Gewichtsteile Laurinsäureamid wer den mit 171 Gewichtsteilen a,ä -Dichlordime- thyläther während 3 Stunden unter Rühren in einem Ölbad von 90 bis 100 erwärmt.
Unter Entwicklung von Salzsäuregas geht die Reaktion vor sich und ist beendet, wenn eine Probe mit Pyridin kurz erwärmt in Wasser unter Schäumen klar löslich ist.
2 Gewichtsteile des so erhaltenen Reak tionsproduktes werden mit 4 Gewichtsteilen Pyridin während 10 Minuten in einem sie denden Wasserbad verrührt, worauf man das überschüssige Pyridin unter vermindertem Druck abdestilliert. Man erhält eine farblose, kristalline Masse, die von Wasser zu einer schäumenden Lösung aufgenommen wird.
Process for the production of a new condensation product. It has been found that a new condensation product is obtained if lauric acid amide is treated with more than 1 mol and less than 2 mol of α, α-dichlorodimethyl ether and the reaction product thus obtained is then reacted with pyridine.
The new condensation product is a colorless, crystalline mass that is absorbed by water to form a foaming solution. It can be used as a textile auxiliary. Example: 199 parts by weight of lauric acid amide are heated with 171 parts by weight of α, α-dichlorodimethyl ether for 3 hours with stirring in an oil bath from 90 to 100 hours.
The reaction proceeds with evolution of hydrochloric acid gas and is complete when a sample with pyridine is briefly heated in water and is clearly soluble with foaming.
2 parts by weight of the reaction product thus obtained are stirred with 4 parts by weight of pyridine for 10 minutes in a denden water bath, whereupon the excess pyridine is distilled off under reduced pressure. A colorless, crystalline mass is obtained which is taken up by water to form a foaming solution.
