Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Gemisches von     qnaternären        Ammoninmverbindungen.       Gegenstand des Hauptpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Herstellung einer     quaternären          Ammoniumverbindung    durch Einwirken  lassen von     Benzylchlorid    auf     Diäthyl-          dodecylamin.     



  Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes  ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Ge  misches von     quaternären        Ammoniumverbin-          dungen.    Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekenn  zeichnet, dass man auf ein Gemisch von       Dimethyl-alkylaminen,    wie es durch Um  wandlung der bei der     Verseifung    von natür  lichen Fetten entstehenden     Fettsäuren    in die       entsprechenden    Amine unter     Einführung     von zwei     Methylgruppen    in die     Amino-          gruppe    erhältlich ist,     Benzylchlorid    einwir  ken lässt.

   Die Reaktion erfolgt zweckmässig  unter Erwärmen und kann in Gegenwart  eines     Verdünnemittels,    wie Wasser oder  Alkohol, durchgeführt werden. Das bei der  Reaktion     entstandene    Produkt bildet     eine     zähe gelbliche Masse, die in Wasser zu einer    klaren stark schäumenden Lösung löslich ist.  Es hat netzende und desinfizierende Eigen  schaften und soll für Desinfektionszwecke  Verwendung finden.

           Beispiel:       Zu 2,40 Gewichtsteilen     eines    Gemisches  von     Dimethyl-alkylaminen,        wie    es beispiels  weise durch katalytische Reduktion natür  licher Fette     bezw.    der daraus erhältlichen       Fettsäureamide    bei Gegenwart von     Dime-          thylamin    gewonnen     wird,    fügt .man 126  Gewichtsteile     Benzylchlorid    und erwärmt  das Gemisch     unter    Rühren 12     Stunden        im     Dampfbad.

   Nach dem Erkalten     bildet    das  Reaktionsprodukt eine zähe gelbliche Masse,  die sich klar in Wasser löst und dessen       wässrige        Lösungen    stark schäumen.

The product formed during the reaction forms a viscous yellowish mass which is soluble in water to form a clear, strongly foaming solution. It has wetting and disinfecting properties and should be used for disinfection purposes.

           Example: To 2.40 parts by weight of a mixture of dimethyl-alkylamines, as it is, for example, by catalytic reduction of natural fats respectively. the fatty acid amide obtainable therefrom is obtained in the presence of dimethylamine, 126 parts by weight of benzyl chloride are added and the mixture is heated in a steam bath for 12 hours while stirring.

   After cooling, the reaction product forms a viscous yellowish mass, which dissolves clearly in water and whose aqueous solutions foam strongly.
