Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Gemisches von     quaternären        Ammoniumverbindungen.       Gegenstand des Hauptpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Herstellung einer     quaternären          Ammoniumverbindung    durch Einwirkenlassen       voll        Benzylchlorid    auf     Diätbyldodecylamin.     



  Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist  ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Ge-          tnisches    von     quaternären        Ammoniumverbin-          dungen.    Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekenn  zeichnet, dass man auf ein Gemisch von       Dimethylalkylaminen,    wie es durch Um  wandlung der bei der     Verseifung    von natür  lichen Fetten entstehenden     Fettsäuren    in  die entsprechenden Amine unter Einführung  von zwei     Methylgruppen    in die     Aminogruppe     erhältlich ist,     Benzylbromid    einwirken lässt.

    Die Reaktion erfolgt zweckmässig unter Er  wärmen und kann in Gegenwart eines     Ver-          dünnemittels,    wie Wasser oder Alkohol,  durchgeführt werden. Das bei der Reaktion  entstandene Produkt bildet eine zähe; gelb  liche     Masse,    die in Wasser zu einer klaren,  stark     schäumenden    Lösung löslich ist.

   Es    hat netzende und     desinfizierende    Eigenschaf  ten und soll für Desinfektionszwecke     Ver-          wendung-finden.       <I>Beispiel:</I>    Zu 240 Gewichtsteilen eines Gemisches       voll        Dimethylalkylaminen,    wie es beispiels  weise durch katalytische Reduktion natür  licher Fette,     bezw.    der daraus erhältlichen       Fettsäureamide    bei Gegenwart von     Dimethyl-          amin    gewonnen wird, fügt man 171 Ge  wichtsteile     Benzylbromid    und erwärmt das  Gemisch unter Rühren 12 Stunden im Dampf  bad.

   Nach dem Erkalten bildet das Reak  tionsprodukt eine zähe gelbliche Masse, die  sich klar in Wasser löst und dessen     wässrige     Lösungen stark schäumen.
