Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen     N-alkylierten        Benzimidazolderivates.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man ein neues       N-alkyliertes        Benzimidazolderivat,    das     N-          Ogyäthyl-,u-heptadecylbenzimidazol,    erhält,  wenn man     ,u-Heptadecylbenzimidazol    mit  einem     Äthylenhalogenhydrin    behandelt.  



  Das     N-Oxyäthyl-y-heptadeeylbenzimid-          azol    bildet in Form des Hydrochlorids ein  farbloses,     fettiges    Pulver, das sich in ange  säuertem Wasser unter Bildung stark schäu  mender Lösungen klar auflöst. Es stellt ein       wertvolles    Hilfsmittel für die Textilindustrie  dar.  



       Beispiel:     <B>310</B> Teile     y-Heptadecylbenzimidazol    wer  den mit 96 Teilen     Äthylenchlorhydrin    so  lange auf 125   erhitzt, bis eine Probe des  Produktes sich in angesäuertem Wasser klar  auflöst. Das in der     gälte    erstarrte Produkt  wird mit Benzin gewaschen und getrocknet.    Ähnlich verfährt man mit andern     Halo-          genhydrinen,    z. B.     Äthylenbromhydrin        etc.     Aus den so erhaltenen Salzen kann die freie  Base durch Behandlung mit Alkali ab  geschieden werden.



  Process for the preparation of a new N-alkylated benzimidazole derivative. It has been found that a new N-alkylated benzimidazole derivative, the N-ogyethyl-, u-heptadecylbenzimidazole, is obtained when u-heptadecylbenzimidazole is treated with an ethylene halohydrin.



  The N-oxyäthyl-y-heptadeeylbenzimidazole forms a colorless, greasy powder in the form of the hydrochloride, which dissolves clearly in acidified water to form strongly foaming solutions. It is a valuable tool for the textile industry.



       Example: <B> 310 </B> parts of y-heptadecylbenzimidazole are heated to 125 with 96 parts of ethylene chlorohydrin until a sample of the product dissolves clearly in acidified water. The product solidified in the cold is washed with gasoline and dried. One proceeds in a similar way with other halogen hydrins, e.g. B. ethylene bromohydrin etc. The free base can be separated from the salts thus obtained by treatment with alkali.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen; N-alkylierten Benzimidazolderivates, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man ,u-Heptadecylbenz- imidazol mit einem Äthylenhalogenhydrin behandelt. Das so erhaltene N-Oxyäthyl-,u-hepta- deeylbenzimidazol bildet in Form des Hydro- chlorids ein farbloses, kristallisiertes Pulver. c:as sich in angesäuertem Wasser unter Bil dung stark schäumender Lösungen klar auf löst. PATENT CLAIM: Process for producing a new one; N-alkylated benzimidazole derivative, characterized in that u-heptadecylbenzimidazole is treated with an ethylene halohydrin. The N-oxyethyl-, u-heptadeeylbenzimidazole thus obtained forms a colorless, crystallized powder in the form of the hydrochloride. c: as dissolves clearly in acidified water to form strongly foaming solutions. Es stellt ein wertvolles Hilfsmittel für die Textilindustrie dar. It is a valuable tool for the textile industry.
