  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen     Tegtilbilfsstoffes.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen       Textilhilfsstoff    -     das,u-Undecyl-imidazolin     - erhält, wenn man auf     Äthylendiamin          Laurinsäure    einwirken lässt. Das     ,u-Undecyl-          imidazolin    bildet eine weisse Masse, die sich  in verdünnten Säuren unter Bildung von  schäumenden Lösungen löst, welch letztere  zur Veredlung von Textilien verwendet wer  den können.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  10 Teile     Laurinsäure    werden mit 15 Tei  len     Athylendiamin    (in Form von Äthylen  diaminhydrat) unter Zusatz von 50 Teilen  Alkohol während 12 Stunden auf 230' er  wärmt. Hierauf wird die Reaktionsmasse im  Vakuum     destilliert,    wobei das ,u-Undecyl-         imidazolin    in Form einer weissen     Masse    ge  wonnen wird.

PATENTANSPRUCH:- Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Textilhilfsstoffes - des ,u-Undecyl-imidazo- lins - dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man auf Äthylendiamin Laurinsäure einwirken lässt. Das y-Undecyl-imidazolin bildet eine weisse Masse, die sich in verdünnten Säuren unter Bildung von schäumenden Lösungen löst, welch letztere zur Veredlung von Tex tilien verwendet werden können.
