Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Tegtilhilfsstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen Textilhilfsstoff erhält, wenn man auf 1- Laui-oylaminobeiizol-4-methylsulfid ein Me- thylierungsmittel einwirken lässt. Das neue Produkt bildet eine helle Masse, die sich in Wasser und organischen Flüssigkeiten leicht löst. Die wässerigen Lösungen besitzen aus gesprochene kapillaraktive Eigenschaften.
<I>Beispiel</I> 322 Teile 1-Lauroylaniinobenzol-4-methyl- sulfid werden in Benzol suspendiert. Man versetzt die kochende Suspension mit 1ä0-230 Teilen Dimethylsulfat und rührt; etwa 6 Stunden. Es tritt in dieser Zeit klare Lösung ein. Man destilliert das Benzol ab und nimmt den Rückstand in Wasser auf. Zur Entfernung des überschüssigen Dimethyl- sulfates wird die Lösung mit Ammoniak alkalisch gestellt und hernach im Vakuum eingetrocknet.

The new product forms a light-colored mass that easily dissolves in water and organic liquids. The aqueous solutions have pronounced capillary-active properties.
<I> Example </I> 322 parts of 1-lauroylaniinobenzene-4-methyl sulfide are suspended in benzene. 1-0-230 parts of dimethyl sulfate are added to the boiling suspension and the mixture is stirred; about 6 hours. A clear solution occurs during this time. The benzene is distilled off and the residue is taken up in water. To remove the excess dimethyl sulfate, the solution is made alkaline with ammonia and then dried in vacuo.
