  Verfahren zur Herstellung einer neuen     Estersäure.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man eine neue       Estersäure,    die     Cetylhexahydrophthalester-          säure,    erhält, wenn man 1     Mol        Oetylalkohol     auf 1     Mol        Hexahydrophthalsäureanhydrid    ein  wirken lässt.

   Die     Cetyihexahydrophthalester-          säure    bildet mit Alkalien und Ammoniak  wasserlösliche Salze, deren wässerige Lösun  gen hohe Netz- und Waschkraft besitzen und  als     Textilhilfsprodukte,    insbesondere     alsWeich-          machungsmittel,    verwendet werden können.

    <I>Beispiel:</I>  <B>60,5</B> Gewichtsteile     Cetylalkohol    werden  in 37 Gewichtsteile geschmolzenes     Hexahy-          di-ophthalsäureanhydrid    eingetragen und     auf.     150-160   gehalten, bis das Reaktionsprodukt  in verdünnter     Ammoniaklösung    klar löslich  ist, was nach kurzer Zeit der Fall ist. Man    lässt erkalten und neutralisiert die entstandene       Cetylhexahydrophthalestersäure    unter Zusatz  von Wasser mit     Ammoniaklösung.
