Description

  

  <B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 231061.    Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen     ltondensationsproduktes.       Es wurde gefunden,     dass    man zu einem  neuen Kondensationsprodukt gelangt, wenn  man 1     Mol    einer handelsüblichen Mischung  .der drei     isomeren        Kresole        (Rohkresol)    mit  etwa 1,5     Mol    Formaldehyd, etwa 1,5     Mol          Thioharnstoff    und etwa 1,5     Mol    Chlorwasser  stoff behandelt.  



  Die Umsetzung wird zweckmässig in der  Wärme, z. B. bei     100 ,    vorgenommen.  



  Das neue     Kondensationsprodukt    bildet  eine annähernd farblose,     viskose    Masse, die  nach :dem Lösen in Alkohol beim Verdünnen  mit Wasser eine opaleszierende Lösung lie  fert. Es kann als     Textilhilfsstoff,    z. B. zum       Schiebefestmachen    von Geweben, verwendet  werden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  <B>1,6</B>     Gewichtsteile    einer handelsüblichen  <B>2</B>  Mischung der :drei     isomeren        Kresole    (Roh  kresol), 22,3     Volumteile        40;3        volumprozentige          Formaldehydlösung,    22,8 Gewichtsteile     T.hio-          harnstoff    und 23,8     Volumteile    12,6-n Salz  säure werden während 2 Stunden in einem  siedenden Wasserbad verrührt. Nach dem Er  kalten lässt man über Nacht stehen und giesst  die obere     wässerige    Schicht ab.

   Das zurück-    bleibende Kondensationsprodukt bildet eine  annähernd farblose, viskose Masse, die nach  dem Lösen in Alkohol beim Verdünnen mit  Wasser eine opaleszierende Lösung liefert.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Kondensationsproduktes, :dadurch gekenn zeichnet, .dass man 1 Mol einer handelsübli chen Mischung :der drei isomeren Kresole (Rohkresol) mit etwa 1,5 Mol Formaldehyd, etwa 1,5 Mol Thioharnstoff und etwa 1,5 Mol Chlorwasserstoff behandelt. Das neue Kondensationsprodukt bildet eine annähernd farblose, viskose Masse, die nach dem Lösen in Alkohol beim Verdünnen mit Wasser eine opaleszierende Lösung lie fert.
