Description
<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 204237. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Tegtilhilfsstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem neuen Textilhilfsstoff gelangt, wenn man Stearinsäureanilid mit Benzoesäure-m-sulfo- chlorid behandelt.
Der neue Textilhilfsstoff stellt eine halb feste blasse dar, die von Wasser zu einer opaleszenten Lösung aufgenommen wird; er eignetsichinsbesonderezum Wasserabstossend- und Weichmachen von Textilien.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 80 Teile Stearinsäureanilid werden in 250 Vol.-Teilen trockenem Pyridin gelöst. Bei 60 werden unter gutem Rühren 75 Gew.- Teile Benzoesäure-m-sulfochlorid zufliessen gelassen, wobei die Temperatur auf etwa 85 steigt. Nachdem alles eingetragen ist, wird die Temperatur noch während 30 Minuten auf<B>95-1000</B> gehalten, bis eine Probe der Reaktionsmasse in Wasser klar löslich ist.
Nach dem Abdestillieren des Pyridins im Vakuum hinterbleibt das Reaktionsprodukt als halbfeste blasse, die in Wasser opaleszent löslich ist.
<B> Additional patent </B> to main patent no. 204237. Process for the production of a new Tegtil auxiliary. It has been found that a new textile auxiliary is obtained if stearic acid anilide is treated with benzoic acid m-sulfochloride.
The new textile auxiliary is a semi-solid pale that is absorbed by water to form an opalescent solution; it is particularly suitable for making textiles water-repellent and softening.
<I> Example: </I> 80 parts of stearic anilide are dissolved in 250 parts by volume of dry pyridine. At 60, 75 parts by weight of benzoic acid m-sulfochloride are allowed to flow in, with thorough stirring, the temperature rising to about 85. After everything has been entered, the temperature is held at <B> 95-1000 </B> for 30 minutes until a sample of the reaction mass is clearly soluble in water.
After the pyridine has been distilled off in vacuo, the reaction product remains as a pale semisolid which is opalescent soluble in water.
