Description
<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent N.r. 204237. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Tegtilhilfsstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem neuen Textilhilfsstoff gelangt, wenn man Stearinsäurecyclohexylamid mit Benzoesäure- m-sulfochlorid behandelt.
Der neue Textilhilfsatoff stellt eine weisse, halbfeste Masse dar, die von Wasser zu einer opaleszenten Lösung aufgenommen wird; er eignet sich insbesondere zum Wasserabstossend- und- Weichmachen von Textilien.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 80 Gew.-Teile Stearinsäureeyclohexylamid werden in 250 Vol.-Teilen trockenem Pyridin heiss gelöst. Bei<B>600</B> werden unter gutem Rühren 75 Gew.-Teile Benzoesäure-m-sulfo- chlorid zugegeben, wobei die Temperatur auf 85-90 steigt. Nach einstündigem Erhitzen auf 95--1000 ist eine Probe der Reaktions- masse in Wasser opaleszent löslich.
Das Pyridin wird im Vakuum abdestilliert, wor auf das Reaktionsprodukt als halbfeste Masse zurückbleibt, die in Wasser opaleszent lös lich ist.
<B> Additional patent </B> to the main patent N.r. 204237. Process for the production of a new Tegtil auxiliary. It has been found that a new textile auxiliary is obtained if stearic acid cyclohexylamide is treated with benzoic acid m-sulfochloride.
The new textile auxiliary is a white, semi-solid mass that is absorbed by water to form an opalescent solution; it is particularly suitable for water-repellent and softening textiles.
<I> Example: </I> 80 parts by weight of stearic acid cyclohexylamide are dissolved in 250 parts by volume of dry pyridine while hot. At <B> 600 </B>, 75 parts by weight of benzoic acid-m-sulfochloride are added with thorough stirring, the temperature rising to 85-90. After heating to 95--1000 for one hour, a sample of the reaction mass is opalescent soluble in water.
The pyridine is distilled off in vacuo, what remains on the reaction product as a semi-solid mass which is opalescent soluble in water.
