  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Ammoniumsalzes.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man ein neues       Ammoniumsalz    erhält, wenn man das Addi  tionsprodukt von     Pyridin    an     Äthylenchlor-          hydrin    mit     Stearinsäurechlorid    behandelt.  



  Das neue Produkt, das die Konstitution

    besitzt, stellt eine seifenähnliche Masse dar,  die sich in Wasser leicht unter Bildung  schäumender Lösungen löst. Es ist ein wert  voller Hilfsstoff für die Textilindustrie.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  30 Teile     Oxyäthylpyridiniumchlorid    (er  halten durch Addition von     Pyridin    an Äthylen  chlorhydrin) werden mit 55 Teilen Stearin-    Säurechlorid im Ölbad unter gutem Rühren  auf 110-1200 erhitzt. Nach kurzer Zeit  tritt lebhafte Reaktion unter     Salzsäuregas-          entwicklung    ein, wobei die Reaktionsmasse  eine salbenartige Konsistenz annimmt. Zur  Beendigung der Reaktion wird noch während  drei Stunden bei 120   gerührt.
