Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen     Teztilhilfsstofes.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem  neuen     Textilhilfsstoff    gelangt, wenn man       Steariusäuremethylamid    mit     Benzoesäure-m-          sulfochlorid    behandelt.  



  Der neue     Textilhilfsstoff    stellt eine weisse,  feste Masse dar, die von Wasser zu einer  klaren, schäumenden Lösung     aufgenommen     wird; er eignet sich     insbesondere    zum Was  serabstossend- und Weichmachen von Tex  tilien.  



       Beispiel:     30 Teile     Stearinsäuremethylamid    werden  in 150     Volumteilen    trockenem     Pyridin    ge  löst. Bei<B>60'</B> werden unter Rühren 44 Ge  wichtsteile     Benzoesäure-m-sulfochlorid    zuge  setzt, wobei die Temperatur auf etwa 85    steigt. Nachdem alles     eingetragen    ist, wird  noch etwa 1     Stunde    auf<B>85'</B>     erwärmt,    bis  eine Probe der Reaktionsmasse in Wasser  klar löslich ist.

   Nach dem     Abdestillieren     des     Pyridins    im Vakuum     wird    der Rückstand  in Wasser aufgenommen, mit verdünnter       Natriumcarbonatlösung    neutral gestellt und    das     Reaktionsprodukt    aus der klaren Lösung  mit     Natriumchlarid        ausgesalzen.     



  Das Reaktionsprodukt ist eine weisse,  feste Substanz, die in Wasser eine klare,  schäumende Lösung ergibt. Durch     Zusatz     von verdünnten     Alkalien    oder     verdünnten     Säuren zur     wässerigen        Lösung        wird    durch  Spaltung das     Stearinsäuremethylamid        zu-          rückgebildet.

       Example: 30 parts of stearic acid methylamide are dissolved in 150 parts by volume of dry pyridine. At <B> 60 '</B> 44 parts by weight of benzoic acid-m-sulfochloride are added with stirring, the temperature rising to about 85. After everything has been entered, the mixture is heated to <B> 85 '</B> for about 1 hour until a sample of the reaction mass is clearly soluble in water.

   After the pyridine has been distilled off in vacuo, the residue is taken up in water, made neutral with dilute sodium carbonate solution and the reaction product is salted out from the clear solution with sodium chloride.



  The reaction product is a white, solid substance that forms a clear, foaming solution in water. By adding dilute alkalis or dilute acids to the aqueous solution, the stearic acid methylamide is reformed by cleavage.

PATENTANSPRÜCIi Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Textilhilfsstoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Stearinsäuremethylamid mit Ben- zoesäure-m-sulfochlorid behandelt. Der neue Textilhilfsstoff stellt eine weisse, feste Masse dar, die von Wasser zu einer klaren, schäumenden Lösung aufgenom men wird; er eignet sich insbesondere zum Wasserabstossend- und Weichmachen von Textilien.
