Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Benzimidazoliumderivates.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man in einfacher  Weise das     ,u-Heptadecyl-N-benzyl-N'-äthyl-          benzimida.zoliumchlorid    erhalten kann, wenn  man auf das     bc-Heptadecyl-N-benzyl-benz-          imidazolchlorhydrat    Äthylalkohol einwirken  lässt.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  Man erhitzt während etwa 20 Stunden  46,5 Teile     ,u-Heptadecyl-N-benzyl-benzimid-          azolchlorhydrat    mit 9,2 Teilen     Äthylalkolhol     im geschlossenen Gefäss auf 190 bis 195  .  Nach dem Erkalten erhält man das     ,u-Hepta-          decyl-N-benzyl-N'-        äthyl-benzimidazolium-          chlorid    in Form eines halbfesten Produktes,  das gegebenenfalls mit Benzin gereinigt wer-    den kann und das in Wasser klar und schäu  mend löslich ist.

   Das     ,u-Heptadecyl-N-benzyl-          N'-äthyl-benzimidazoliumchlorid    kann als  Hilfsstoff in der     Textilindustrie        verwendet     werden.



  Process for the preparation of a benzimidazolium derivative. It has been found that u-heptadecyl-N-benzyl-N'-ethylbenzimida.zolium chloride can be obtained in a simple manner if ethyl alcohol is allowed to act on the bc-heptadecyl-N-benzylbenzylbenzyl-imidazole chlorohydrate.



  <I> Example: </I> 46.5 parts of u-heptadecyl-N-benzylbenzimidazole chlorohydrate with 9.2 parts of ethyl alcohol are heated to 190 to 195 in a closed vessel for about 20 hours. After cooling, u-heptadecyl-N-benzyl-N'-ethyl-benzimidazolium chloride is obtained in the form of a semi-solid product which can be cleaned with gasoline if necessary and which is clear and foaming soluble in water .

   The u-heptadecyl-N-benzyl-N'-ethyl-benzimidazolium chloride can be used as an auxiliary in the textile industry.

PATENTANSPRUCH Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Benz- imidazoliumderivates, des ,u-Heptadecyl-N- benzyl -<B>N'-</B> äthyl - benzimidazoliumchlorides, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man auf das @c-Heptadecyl - N - benzyl-benzimidazolchlor- hydrat Äthylalkohol einwirken lässt.
