Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Benzimidazoliumderivates.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man in einfacher  Weise das     @z-Heptadecenyl-N'-methyl-N-ox-          äthyl-benzimida.zoliumchlorid    erhalten kann,  wenn man auf das mit Hilfe der Ölsäure  erhältliche     ,u-Heptadecenyl-N-oxyäthyl-benz-          imidazolchlorhydrat    Methylalkohol einwirken  lässt. Das     ,u-Heptadecenyl-N'-methyl-N-          oxäthyl-benzimidazoliumchiorid    bildet eine  sieh fettig anfühlende, helle Masse, deren  wässerige Lösungen stark     kapillaraktiv    sind.

    <I>Beispiel:</I>  Man erhitzt während etwa 10 Stunden 44  Teile     1u-Heptadecenyl-N-oxyäthyl-benzimid-          azolchlorhydrat    mit 8 Teilen Methylalkohol  im geschlossenen Gefäss auf<B>170'</B> bis 175  .  Nach dem Erkalten erhält man das     y-Hepta-          decenyl    -N'-     methyl    -     N-oxyäthyl-benzimidazo-          liumchlorid    in Form eines halbfesten Pro  duktes, das gegebenenfalls mit Benzin ge-    reinigt werden kann und das in Wasser klar  und schäumend löslich ist.

   Das     ,u-Hepta-          decenyl        -N'-methyl-N-oxyäthyl-benzimida.zo-          liumchlorid    kann als Hilfsstoff in der Textil  industrie verwendet werden. \

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Benz- imidazoliumderivates, des ,u-Heptadecenyl N'-methyl-N-oxyäthyl-benzimidazoliumchlo- rides, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man auf das mit Hilfe der Ölsäure erhältliche ,u- Heptadecen y1 - N - oxäthyl - benzimidazolohlor- hydrat Methylalkohol einwirken lässt.
