Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Kondensationsproduktes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem neuen Kondensationsprodukt gelangt, wenn man die N-Chlormethylverbindung des N Methylstearinsäureamids mit Thioglykolsäure umsetzt.
Die Umsetzung wird zweckmässig in Ge genwart eines Lösungsmittels, wie Eisessig, Dioxan, vorgenommen.
Das neue Kondensationsprodukt ist ein schwach gelb gefärbtes, dickflüssiges Öl, das in Form eines Alkalisalzes als Textilhilfs- atoff verwendet werden kann.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 7 Gewichtsteile der N-Chlormethylver- bindung des N-Methylstearinsäureamids wer den in 10 Volumenteilen Eisessig gelöst. Nach Zugabe von 2 Gewichtsteilen Thiogly- kolsäure wird die klare Lösung während 30 Minuten auf dem Dampfbad erhitzt. Nach dem Abkühlen wird mit Petroläther versetzt, worauf sich ein<B>01</B> abscheidet. Dieses wird abgetrennt, nochmals mit Petroläther ge waschen und im Vakuum vom Petroläther befreit. Es bleibt ein schwach gelb gefärbtes, dickflüssiges Öl zurück, das sich in Wasser nach Zusatz von Natriumkarbonat klar löst.
Die wässerige Lösung schäumt kräftig und zersetzt sich vollständig nach anhaltendem Kochen.
Process for the production of a new condensation product. It has been found that a new condensation product is obtained if the N-chloromethyl compound of N-methylstearic acid amide is reacted with thioglycolic acid.
The reaction is expediently carried out in the presence of a solvent such as glacial acetic acid or dioxane.
The new condensation product is a pale yellow, viscous oil that can be used in the form of an alkali salt as a textile auxiliary.
<I> Example: </I> 7 parts by weight of the N-chloromethyl compound of N-methylstearic acid amide are dissolved in 10 parts by volume of glacial acetic acid. After adding 2 parts by weight of thioglycolic acid, the clear solution is heated on the steam bath for 30 minutes. After cooling, petroleum ether is added, whereupon a <B> 01 </B> is deposited. This is separated off, washed again with petroleum ether and freed from petroleum ether in vacuo. A pale yellow, viscous oil remains, which dissolves clearly in water after adding sodium carbonate.
The aqueous solution foams vigorously and decomposes completely after prolonged boiling.
