A presente invenção refere-se a polipeptídeos de amilase, e ácidos nucléicos codificando os polipeptídeos e seus usos. As amilases da presente invenção foram construídas para terem qualidades mais benéficas. Especificamente, as amilases da presente invenção mostram uma termoestabilidade alterada.
