Abstract

"PROCESSOS PARA O REFINO DE ACRILATO DE BUTILA" Correntes de acrilato de butila brutas, p.ex., a partir da reação de butanol e ácido acrílico, são refinadas usando uma coluna de destilação por fracionamento, para produzir uma fração de produtos de fundo contendo acrilato de butila e pesados, e uma fração de produto de topo contendo éter dibutílico, acetato de butila, butanol e acrilato de butila. A fração de produtos de fundo é então submetida à separação, p.ex., por destilação, para separar os pesados das frações de produtos de fundo, e para recuperar o acrilato de butila. Um processo para a produção de acrilato de butila é também divulgado, processo este que compreende não somente as etapas de refino acima mencionadas, como também inclui as etapas de retirar, da coluna de destilação por fracionamento, a fração de produto de topo e destilar a fração de produto de topo para recuperar uma corrente de produtos de fundo contendo butanol e acrilato de butila, pelo menos uma parte da mesma poderia ser reciclada para a reação com o ácido acrílico, para fazer o acrilato de butila, e recuperar os pesados separados, pelo menos uma parte dos mesmos poderia ser reciclada para uma zona de reação para a produção de acrilato de butila. São produzíveis quantidades de pelo menos 4540 kg (10.000 libras (avoir)) de um produto de acrilato de butila compreendendo pelo menos 99,8% em peso de acrilato de butila e contendo não mais do que cerca de 200 ppm de éter butílico e não mais do que cerca de 200 ppm de acetato de butila.
