Abstract

"PROCESSO E APARELHAGEM PARA SEPARAR UM óXIDO DE PROPILENO PURIFICADO". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para separar um óxido de propileno purificado de um produto de epoxidação bruto produzido, preferivelmente, em uma reação de epoxidação de propileno com peróxido de hidrogênio. O processo envolve remover água em massa, metanol em massa e propileno não reagido do produto de epoxidação bruto e em seguida submeter o produto de óxido de propileno resultante a destilação extrativa com água como solvente de extração. Sob condições de destilação, incluindo uma temperatura de fundos maiores que cerca de 55<198>C e menor que cerca de 75<198>C, é obtida uma corrente de destilado de topo ou de derivação contendo um óxido de propileno purificado com baixa perda de rendimento de óxido de propileno a propileno glicóis e outros pesados de glicóis. o óxido de propileno purificado pode ser adicionalmente purificado através de uma destilação de acabamento de maneira a obter óxido de propileno atendendo aos requisitos de pureza grau comercial.
