células hospedeiras recombinantes, métodos para fabricar um produto e para fabricar isobutanol, método para converter 2,3-diidroxiisovalerato em a-cetoisovalerato, métodos para aumentar a atividade específica de um polipeptídeo heterólogo, o fluxo em uma via blosslntética e a atividade de uma proteína, métodos para identificar polipeptídeos e método para medir a concentração de formas de polipeptídeo. a presente invenção está relacionada a uma célula hospedeira recombinante, em particular uma célula de levedura, que compreende um polipeptídeo de diidroxiácido desidratase. a invenção está também relacionada a uma célula hospedeira recombinante que tem atividade específica aumentada do polipeptídeo de diidroxiácido desidratase como um resultado de expressão aumentada do polipeptídeo, modulação da biosslntese de cluster de fe-s da célula ou uma combinação dos mesmos. a presente invenção também inclui métodos de uso das células hospedeiras, bem como, métodos para identificar polipeptídeos que aumentam o fluxo em uma via biossintética de cluster de fe-s em uma célula hospedeira.
