A presente invenção refere-se a um produto para fabricar uma chapa de aço que resiste à abrasão de composição: 0,1 % <243> C <243> 0,23 %; 0 % <243> Si<243> 2%;0%<243>AI<243> 2%;0,5%<243>Si +Al<2%; 0%<243>Mn<243>2,5%,0%<243>Ni <243>5%;0%<243>Cr<243>5%;0%<243>Mo<243>1 %;0%<243>W<243>2%;0,05%<243>Mo+W/2<243>1%;0%<243>B <243>0,02%;0%<Ti<243>0,67%;0%<Zr<243>1,34%;0,05%<Ti+Zr/2 <243> 0,67 %; 0 % <243> S <243> 0,15 %; N < 0,030 %, eventualmente de 0 % a 1,5 % de Cu; eventualmente Nb, Ta ou V com Nb/2 + Ta/4 + V < 0,5 %; eventualmente Se, Te, Ca, Bi ou Pb em teores <243> 0,1 %; sendo que o resto é ferro e impurezas. Após austenitização, resfria-se a uma velocidade > 0,5<198>C/s entre uma AC~ 3~ e T = 800 - 270xC* - 90xMn - 37xNi - 70xCr - 83x(Mo + W/2), e T-50<198>C aproximadamente; e resfria-se a uma velocidade 0, 1 < Vr < 1150xep¬ -1,7¬ entre T e 100<198>C (ep = espessura da chapa em mm); resfria-se até a temperatura ambiente, e efetua-se eventualmente um aplainamento. A presente invenção trata também da chapa obtida.
