Abstract

Una composición del catalizador que comprende un vanadato representado por la fórmula XVO4/S, en la que XVO4 representa un vanadato de Bi, Sb, Ga y/o Al, de modo opcional en mezcla con uno o más vanadatos de metales de tierras raras, o en mezcla con uno o más vanadatos de metales de transición, o en mezcla con uno o más vanadatos de metales de transición y uno o más vanadatos de metales de tierras raras, y S es un material de soporte que comprende TiO2, en forma opcional en combinación con un dopante y un proceso para la preparación de tales composiciones de catalizadores. Reivindicación 12: Un proceso para la preparación de una composición del catalizador tal como se definió en cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores que comprende los pasos de: i) suspender en agua un material de soporte que comprende TiO2 y XVO4, en donde XVO4 es como se definió antes en cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, para formar una mezcla perfecta que contiene dicho material de soporte y dicho XVO4, ii) evaporar el agua, iii) secar la mezcla obtenida en ii), iv) calcinar la mezcla seca bajo aire a una temperatura dentro del rango de 500 a 850°C; y v) en forma opcional transformar el polvo calcinado en una forma moldeada; y/o en forma opcional recubrir el polvo calcinado sobre un vehículo cerámico o metálico.
