Abstract

Se proporciona una composición a base de una nueva formulación de MCrAIY para la producción de recubrimientos protectores. La combinación específica de los componentes de la formulación de MCrAIY permite de manera ventajosa las cargas significativamente altas de cerámica (óxido de metal) mientras aún conserva la capacidad de oxidar selectivamente el aluminio para formar la capa oxidada de alúmina, una propiedad previamente no alcanzable con los materiales convencionales de MCrAIY cuando se cargan con cerámica a niveles de 15-45 por ciento en peso. La capa oxidada de alúmina en combinación con la formulación modificada de MCrAIY actúan como una barrera para las formaciones perjudiciales específicas del óxido. Las composiciones de la presente invención pueden actuar como recubrimientos protectores para una amplia gama de aplicaciones.
