Abstract
Un método para mejorar diversas características de crecimiento en plantas al modular la expresion en una planta de un ácido nucleico que codifica un GRP (proteína relacionada con el crecimiento). También plantas con expresion modulada de un ácido nucleico que codifica un GRP, cuyas plantas tienen características de crecimiento mejoradas con respecto a las correspondientes plantas de tipo silvestre u otras plantas de control. Además construcciones utiles en los métodos de la presente. El GRP puede ser uno de los siguientes: Quinasa del tipo del receptor de extensina (ERLK), polipéptido F-Caja WD40 (FBXW), proteína de union a ARN (RANBP), Factor de transcripcion tipo Golden2 (GLK), polipéptido REV delta homeodominio del dominio de leucina de cremallera, proteína CLE y proteína reguladora del rendimiento de las semillas (SYR). Reivindicacion 1: El método para aumentar el rendimiento en las plantas en relacion con plantas de control, mediante la reduccion de la expresion en una planta de un gen endogeno similar a CLE que utiliza una secuencia de ácido nucleico similar a CLE, y opcionalmente selecciona plantas que tienen un mayor rendimiento.
