Abstract
La presente se refiere en general al campo de la biología molecular y concierne un método para aumentar varios rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento importante economicamente en plantas. Más específicamente, la presente concierne métodos para aumentar los rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento en plantas al modular la expresion en plantas de un ácido nucleico que codifica una proteína de aumento del rendimiento (YEP). El YEP se selecciona de la enzima de procesamiento de la vacuola (VPE) o un polipéptido tipo CCA1 o un polipéptido tipo SAP o un polipéptido del factor promotor del rendimiento de semilla 1 (SYPF1) o un polipéptido activasa de ribulosa-1,5-bisfosfato carboxilasa/oxigenasa (RuBisCO) (RCA). La presente también concierne plantas con expresion modulada de un ácido nucleico que codifica tal YEP, cuyas plantas tienen rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento aumentado con relacion a plantas de control. La solicitud también provee ácidos nucleicos desconocidos que codifican YEP, y construcciones que lo comprenden, utiles para ejecutar los método de la misma.
