Abstract

基材の外表面上にシリカナノ粒子と溶剤を含む分散液を湿式塗布する工程と、該分散液から該溶剤を乾燥除去する工程と、該溶剤を乾燥除去して形成したシリカ層の外表面上に含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物と溶剤を含む溶液を湿式塗布する工程と、該溶液から該溶剤を乾燥除去して含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物を硬化する工程とを有する方法等により得られる、各種基材の外表面上に、シリカナノ粒子を主成分とする特定厚さのシリカ層を設けた後に、該シリカ層の外表面上に、含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物の硬化物を主成分とする特定厚さの撥水撥油層を設けた撥水部材は、耐摩耗性に優れた撥水撥油被膜を、安定して、簡便に各種基材に付与できる。

Description

撥水部材及び撥水部材の製造方法
 本発明は、撥水部材及び撥水部材の製造方法に関し、詳細には、基材と撥水撥油層との間にシリカナノ粒子を主成分とするシリカ層を設けた撥水部材及び該撥水部材の製造方法に関する。
 近年、外観や視認性を良くするために、汚れを付き難くする技術や、汚れを落としやすくする技術の要求が年々高まってきており、特に眼鏡レンズ、スマートフォン、ウェアラブル端末、カーナビ、電子機器の筐体、キッチン台や輸送機器のボディーの表面は、皮脂や油汚れが付着しやすいため、撥水撥油層を設けることが望まれている。しかし、撥水撥油剤として用いられているフッ素基を有する化合物は、その表面自由エネルギーが非常に小さく、各種基材に対する非粘着性、非密着性を有するため、撥水撥油剤を基材に直接密着させることは難しい。
 このような問題を解決するために、ガラス等の基材表面を撥水撥油処理できる処理剤として、例えば、特開2011-116947号公報(特許文献1)では、下記平均組成式で示されるフルオロオキシアルキレン基含有ポリマー組成物が開示されている。

で示される基から選ばれる基であり、Rf2はF、H、末端が-CF3基又は-CF2H基である1価のフッ素含有基であり、Qは2価の有機基であり、Zはシロキサン結合を有する2~7価のオルガノポリシロキサン残基であり、Rは炭素数1~4のアルキル基又はフェニル基であり、Xは加水分解性基であり、aは2又は3、bは1~6、cは1~5の整数であり、βは0又は1の整数)
 しかしながら、特許文献1で提案されている処理剤は、ガラス等に代表される表面にシラノール基(ケイ素原子に結合した水酸基)が多く存在する基板の表面上では、比較的優れた耐久性を示すが、金属、金属酸化物や樹脂等の表面に対しては、優れた密着性を得ることは難しい。
 密着性を向上する方法として、乾式法(蒸着法やスパッタ法)でSiO2層をプライマー層として設ける方法が開示されている(国際公開第2014/097388号:特許文献2)。この方法を用いると、耐久性に優れた撥水撥油層を形成できることが示されているが、真空中で処理を行う必要があること、大型基板を塗工するには、大掛かりな装置が必要であることから、生産性、生産コストの点で応用範囲が限られている。
 一方、湿式法でプライマー層を設けることができるポリシラザン溶液が開示されている(国際公開第2010/038648号:特許文献3)。ポリシラザン溶液を基材表面に塗布後、該ポリシラザン溶液が水分と反応してシリカガラスに転化することを利用している。この方法は、真空プロセスを用いないという点で乾式法より優れているが、撥水撥油層の密着性を安定させるには、長時間の高温加熱や加湿が必要であるため、生産性、コストの面で問題があり、応用できる基材も限られるという問題点がある。

 本発明は、上記事情に鑑みなされたもので、耐摩耗性に優れた撥水部材、及び各種基材の外表面上に耐摩耗性が優れた撥水撥油層を湿式法で形成する撥水部材の製造方法を提供することを目的とするものである。
 本発明者らは、上記目的を達成するために鋭意検討を重ねた結果、基材の外表面上にシリカナノ粒子と溶剤を含む分散液を湿式塗布する工程と、該分散液から該溶剤を乾燥除去する工程と、該溶剤を乾燥除去して形成したシリカ層の外表面上に含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物と溶剤を含む溶液を湿式塗布する工程と、該溶液から該溶剤を乾燥除去して含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物を硬化する工程とを有する方法等により得られる、各種基材の外表面上に、シリカナノ粒子を主成分とする特定厚さのシリカ層を設けた後に、該シリカ層の外表面上に、さらに含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物の硬化物を主成分とする特定厚さの撥水撥油層を設けた撥水部材は、耐摩耗性に優れた撥水撥油被膜を、安定して、簡便に各種基材に付与できることを見出し、本発明をなすに至った。
 即ち、本発明は、下記の撥水部材及び撥水部材の製造方法を提供する。
〔1〕
 基材の外表面上に、シリカナノ粒子を50質量%以上含有する膜厚1nm~5μmのシリカ層を有し、さらに該シリカ層の外表面上に含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物の硬化物を主成分とする膜厚0.5~30nmの撥水撥油層を有する撥水部材。

 含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物が、加水分解性基を少なくとも1つ有するフルオロオキシアルキレン基含有有機ケイ素化合物である〔1〕に記載の撥水部材。

 含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物が、下記一般式(1)、(2)、(3)、(4)及び(5)で表されるフッ素含有加水分解性有機ケイ素化合物から選ばれる少なくとも1種である〔1〕又は〔2〕に記載の撥水部材。

 本発明によれば、撥水撥油性に優れた防汚層表面が強固に密着した撥水部材を形成することができる。該撥水部材の製造方法は、真空プロセスや高温の加熱プロセスを必須とすることなく、湿式(スプレー、ディッピング、刷毛塗り、スピン)プロセスで形成することができ、様々な用途に適用することができる。例えば、表面に防汚性を有する物品、特には、電子機器の筐体、ウェアラブル端末、キッチン用品及びサニタリー用品、輸送用機器のボディー、タッチパネルディスプレイ等に有用である。
 以下、本発明についてさらに詳しく説明する。
 本発明は、各種基材の外表面上に、シリカナノ粒子と溶剤を含む分散液(ナノシリカ分散剤)を湿式塗布した後、該分散液から該溶剤を乾燥除去して各種基材の外表面上にシリカ層を形成し、該シリカ層の外表面上にさらに含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物と溶剤を含む溶液(防汚コーティング剤)を湿式塗布した後に、該溶液から該溶剤を乾燥除去すると共に含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物を硬化して該シリカ層の外表面上に撥水撥油層を形成する方法等によって、各種基材の外表面上に、シリカナノ粒子を50質量%以上含有する膜厚1nm~5μmのシリカ層を有し、さらに該シリカ層の外表面上に含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物の硬化物を主成分とする膜厚0.5~30nmの撥水撥油層を有する撥水部材を提供するものである。
 本発明で適用される基材としては特に制限されないが、金属酸化物、金属、樹脂、セラミック、石英、ガラス、サファイヤ、ダイヤモンドが特に好適である。
 ここで、金属酸化物としては、SiO、SiO2、Al23、ITO、In23、SnO2、ZrO2、TiO2、Ti23、Ti47、Ti35、Nb25、Ta25、Y23、WO3、HfO2、La2Ti27等が挙げられる。
 また、金属としては、マグネシウム、マグネシウム合金、チタン、チタン合金、クロム、鉄、ニッケル、コバルト、銅、亜鉛、イットリウム、ジルコニウム、ニオブ、モリブデン、ルテニウム、ロジウム、パラジウム、銀、タングステン、白金、金、ステンレス、アルミニウム、アルミニウム合金、ジュラルミン、ハステロイ等が挙げられる。
 さらに、樹脂としては、熱可塑性樹脂又は熱硬化性樹脂が挙げられ、具体的には次のものがよい。セルロイド、セルロースアセテート、セルロースプロピオネート、セルロースブチレート、6-ナイロン、6,6-ナイロン、12-ナイロンなどの脂肪族ポリアミド、芳香族ポリアミド、ABS、AS樹脂、ポリスチレン、ポリエチレン(低密度又は高密度)、ポリプロピレンなどのポリオレフィン、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリ塩化ビニリデン、エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリアセタール、ポリカーボネート、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレートなどの飽和ポリエステル、芳香族ポリエステル、ポリエーテルケトン、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン、ポリサルホン、ポリエーテルサルホン、ポリエーテルイミド、ポリアリレート、ポリメチルペンテン、アイオノマー、液晶ポリマー、ポリイミド、ポリアミドイミド、フッ素樹脂、ポリフェニレンサルファイド、(変性)ポリフェニレンオキサイド、熱可塑性ポリウレタン等の熱可塑性樹脂、あるいは、エポキシ樹脂、不飽和ポリエステル、熱硬化性ポリウレタン、ポリイミド、ジエチレングリコールビスアリルカーボネート(通称CR-39)の重合物、(ハロゲン化)ビスフェノールAのジ(メタ)アクリレートの(共)重合物、(ハロゲン化)ビスフェノールAのウレタン変性ジ(メタ)アクリレートの(共)重合物、ジアクリレート化合物やビニルベンジルアルコールと不飽和チオール化合物等との共重合物などの熱硬化性樹脂が挙げられる。
 上記基材の外表面上に形成するシリカ層は、シリカナノ粒子を50質量%以上含有する膜厚1nm~5μmのものである。該シリカ層は、各種基材の表面に、シリカナノ粒子と溶剤を含む分散液(ナノシリカ分散剤)を湿式塗布した後、該分散液から該溶剤を乾燥除去することにより形成できる。
 シリカナノ粒子としては、平均粒径(直径)が好ましくは30nm以下、より好ましくは20nm以下、さらに好ましくは10nm以下、特に好ましくは5nm以下である。シリカナノ粒子の平均粒径が大きいと、基材とシリカナノ粒子の接触点が少なくなり、基材との密着性が悪くなる場合がある。平均粒径の下限は、通常、0.1nm以上、好ましくは0.5nm以上程度であればよい。なお、本発明において平均粒径は、例えば、レーザー光回折法による粒度分布測定における累積質量平均径D50(又はメジアン径)等として求めることができる。
 シリカナノ粒子は、基材と含フッ素層(撥水撥油層)の間のシリカ層において、含有量が50~100質量%、好ましくは60~100質量%である。含有量が50質量%より少ないと、シリカナノ粒子同士の接触が減るため、耐久性が悪くなる。一方、シリカナノ粒子は100質量%でもよいが、シリカナノ粒子単独では、空隙ができてしまうため、他の粒子が混合されることによって密度を高めてもよい。
 シリカナノ粒子と混合する粒子としては、平均粒径が好ましくは30nm以下、より好ましくは20nm以下、さらに好ましくは1~10nmの、酸化チタン、酸化スズ、銀、白金、銅、アルミナ、酸化カルシウム、酸化マグネシウム、酸化マンガン、酸化ニッケル、酸化ジルコニウムや多成分酸化物のナノ粒子等が挙げられる。これらの中でも酸化チタンナノ粒子、白金ナノ粒子、酸化スズナノ粒子が好ましい。これらは1種を単独で用いても2種以上を混合して用いてもよい。これらの粒子を用いる場合、シリカ層を構成する粒子(シリカナノ粒子及びその他の粒子の合計)中、0.1~50質量%、特には1~20質量%含むことが好ましい。
 また、ナノシリカ分散剤には、必要に応じて、紫外線吸収剤、光安定剤、酸化防止剤、レベリング剤、消泡剤、顔料、染料、分散剤、帯電防止剤、防曇剤などの界面活性剤類を用いてもよい。
 シリカナノ粒子を分散させる溶剤は、純水やメタノール、エタノールが好ましいが、特に限定されるものではなく、基材との濡れ性や沸点から適宜選択すればよい。シリカナノ粒子と溶剤を含む分散液中におけるシリカナノ粒子の濃度は、0.01~10質量%が好ましく、0.1~1質量%がさらに好ましい。濃度が低すぎると、未塗工部分が増えてしまい、濃度が高すぎると、シリカナノ粒子の2次凝集が起こる可能性がある。
 上記シリカナノ粒子を溶剤に分散させてなるナノシリカ分散剤(分散液)は、湿式塗布、特には浸漬法、刷毛塗り、スピンコート法、スプレー塗装、流し塗りなどの方法で基材表面に塗布し、溶剤を乾燥させることでシリカ層を形成できる。シリカ層の密度を上昇させたい場合には、基材に影響を与えない温度範囲で、50~500℃で10分~24時間加熱するとよい。
 基材表面に形成されるシリカ層の膜厚は、基材の種類により適宜選定されるが、通常1nm~5μmであり、好ましくは2nm~0.5μm、特に2nm~30nmである。なお、本発明において、膜厚はX線反射率法により測定できる。
 次に、形成したシリカ層の外表面上に防汚コーティング剤(含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物と溶剤を含む溶液)を塗布した後、該溶液から該溶剤を乾燥除去して該防汚コーティング剤を硬化し、防汚表面層を形成する。防汚コーティング剤としては、含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物を主成分とするものである。該含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物としては、特開2007-197425号公報、特開2007-297589号公報、特開2007-297543号公報、特開2008-088412号公報、特開2008-144144号公報、特開2010-031184号公報、特開2010-047516号公報、特開2011-116947号公報、特開2011-178835号公報、特開2014-084405号公報、特開2014-105235号公報、特開2013-253228号公報、特開2014-218639号公報、国際公開第2013/121984号(特許文献1、4~16)に記載の含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物を使用することができる。
 含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物に関してさらに具体的に説明する。
 本発明にかかる含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物(又はフッ素含有有機ケイ素化合物)は、加水分解性基を少なくとも1つ有する含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物であることが好ましく、該化合物は、1分子中に炭素数1~12のアルコキシ基及びアルコキシアルコキシ基等の加水分解性基を有し、かつ、フッ素原子を有する有機ケイ素化合物であることがより好ましい。含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物として、好ましくは、フルオロオキシアルキレン基を有する化合物であるのがよい。フルオロオキシアルキレン基とは、-Cj2jO-で示される繰返し単位が複数結合された(ポリ)フルオロオキシアルキレン構造を有する化合物である(該構造においてjは1以上、好ましくは1~6、より好ましくは1~4の整数である)。特には、該繰返し単位を3~500個、好ましくは15~200個、さらに好ましくは20~100個、より好ましくは25~80個有するのがよい。
 上記繰返し単位-Cj2jO-は、直鎖型及び分岐型のいずれであってもよい。例えば下記の単位が挙げられ、これらの繰返し単位の2種以上が結合されたものであってもよい。

 上記(ポリ)フルオロオキシアルキレン構造は、特には、-(CF2d-O-(CF2O)p(CF2CF2O)q(CF2CF2CF2O)r(CF2CF2CF2CF2O)s(CF(CF3)CF2O)t-(CF2d-であり、p、q、r、s、tはそれぞれ独立に0~200の整数、好ましくはpは5~100の整数、qは5~100の整数、rは0~100の整数、sは0~50の整数、tは0~100の整数であり、かつ、p+q+r+s+t=3~500の整数、好ましくは10~100の整数である。なお、これらの括弧内に示される各単位はランダムに結合されていてよい。dは独立に0~8の整数、好ましくは0~5の整数、さらに好ましくは0~2の整数であり、該単位は直鎖状であっても分岐状であってもよい。特には、下記構造で表すことができる。

 本発明にかかる含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物は、より好ましくは下記一般式(1)~(5)のいずれかで表されるフッ素含有加水分解性有機ケイ素化合物(又は含フッ素加水分解性有機ケイ素化合物)である。これらは1種を単独で使用してもよいし、2種以上を併用してもよい。

 式(1)~(5)中、Rfは-(CF2d-O-(CF2O)p(CF2CF2O)q(CF2CF2CF2O)r(CF2CF2CF2CF2O)s(CF(CF3)CF2O)t-(CF2d-であり、p、q、r、s、tはそれぞれ独立に0~200の整数であり、かつ、p+q+r+s+t=3~500であり、これらの括弧内に示される各単位はランダムに結合されていてよく、dは独立に0~8の整数であり、該単位は直鎖状であっても分岐状であってもよい。Aはフッ素原子、水素原子、又は末端が-CF3基、-CF2H基もしくは-CH2F基である1価のフッ素含有基であり、Z、Z’は独立に単結合、又は窒素原子、酸素原子、ケイ素原子、リン原子もしくは硫黄原子を含んでいてもよく、フッ素置換されていてもよい2~8価の有機基であり、Wは末端に加水分解性基を有する1価の有機基である。α、βはそれぞれ独立に1~7の整数、好ましくは、αは1~3の整数、より好ましくは1、βは1~3の整数であり、かつ、α+β=2~8の整数、好ましくは2~4の整数である。γは2~8の整数、好ましくは2である。
 また、Qは単結合又は2価の有機基であり、δはそれぞれ独立に1~10の整数であり、Yは加水分解性基を有する2価の有機基であり、Bは水素原子、炭素数1~4のアルキル基、又はハロゲン原子である。
 上記式(1)~(5)において、Rfは上述した(ポリ)フルオロオキシアルキレン構造である-(CF2d-O-(CF2O)p(CF2CF2O)q(CF2CF2CF2O)r(CF2CF2CF2CF2O)s(CF(CF3)CF2O)t-(CF2d-であり、上記と同様のものが例示できる。
 上記式(1)及び(4)において、Aはフッ素原子、水素原子、又は末端が-CF3基、-CF2H基もしくは-CH2F基である1価のフッ素含有基である。中でも、-CF3基、-CF2CF3基、-CF2CF2CF3基が好ましい。
 上記式(1)~(3)において、Z、Z’は、独立に単結合、又は窒素原子、酸素原子、ケイ素原子、リン原子もしくは硫黄原子を含んでいてもよく、フッ素置換されていてもよい2~8価の有機基である。該有機基は(L)e-M(eは1~7の整数、好ましくは1~3の整数である)で表わすことができる。
 ここで、Lは単結合、又は酸素原子、硫黄原子、もしくは2価の有機基であり、上記式(1)~(3)において、ZのLはいずれもRf基とM基(又はW基)との連結基であり、Z’のLはM(又はRf基)とRf基との連結基である。2価の有機基として、好ましくは、アミド結合、エーテル結合、エステル結合、又はジメチルシリレン基等のジオルガノシリレン基、-Si[OH][(CH2fSi(CH33]-(fは2~4の整数)で示される基からなる群より選ばれる1種又は2種以上を含んでよい非置換又は置換の炭素数2~12の2価有機基であり、より好ましくは前記構造を含んでよい非置換又は置換の炭素数2~12の2価炭化水素基である。
 前記非置換又は置換の炭素数2~12の2価炭化水素基としては、例えば、エチレン基、プロピレン基(トリメチレン基、メチルエチレン基)、ブチレン基(テトラメチレン基、メチルプロピレン基)、ヘキサメチレン基、オクタメチレン基等のアルキレン基、フェニレン基等のアリーレン基、又はこれらの基の2種以上の組み合わせ(アルキレン・アリーレン基等)が挙げられる。さらに、これらの基の炭素原子に結合する水素原子の一部又は全部をフッ素等のハロゲン原子で置換した基であってもよい。中でも、非置換又は置換の炭素数2~4のアルキレン基又はフェニレン基が好ましい。

 なお、本発明にかかる一般式(1)~(5)で表されるフッ素含有加水分解性有機ケイ素化合物(含フッ素加水分解性有機ケイ素化合物)は、上記加水分解性基(X)の一部又は全部が加水分解されている化合物(XがOH基である化合物)を含んでいてよく、これらOH基の一部又は全部が縮合している化合物を含んでいてもよい。
 含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物は、予め溶剤によって希釈しておくことが望ましく、このような溶剤としては、上記含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物を均一に溶解させるものであれば特に限定されない。例えば、フッ素変性脂肪族炭化水素系溶剤(パーフルオロヘプタン、パーフルオロオクタンなど)、フッ素変性芳香族炭化水素系溶剤(1,3-トリフルオロメチルベンゼンなど)、フッ素変性エーテル系溶剤(メチルパーフルオロブチルエーテル、エチルパーフルオロブチルエーテル、パーフルオロ(2-ブチルテトラヒドロフラン)など)、フッ素変性アルキルアミン系溶剤(パーフルオロトリブチルアミン、パーフルオロトリペンチルアミンなど)、炭化水素系溶剤(石油ベンジン、トルエン、キシレンなど)、ケトン系溶剤(アセトン、メチルエチルケトン、メチルイソブチルケトンなど)が挙げられる。これらの中でも、溶解性及び安定性などの点で、フッ素変性された溶剤が望ましく、特には、フッ素変性エーテル系溶剤、フッ素変性芳香族炭化水素系溶剤が好ましい。
 上記溶剤は1種を単独で使用しても2種以上を混合して使用してもよい。
 溶剤は防汚コーティング剤(含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物と溶剤とを含む溶液)中における含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物の質量%が0.01~50質量%、好ましくは0.03~10質量%、さらに好ましくは0.05~1質量%になるように含有することが好ましい。
 含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物を含有する防汚コーティング剤は、ウェット塗工法(刷毛塗り、ディッピング、スプレー、インクジェット)、蒸着法など公知の方法で基材に施与することができる。塗工条件等は従来公知の方法に従えばよいが、シリカ層をウェット塗工法で塗工することから、含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物もウェット塗工法で塗工する方が効率的である。
 含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物は、室温(20℃±10℃)で1~24時間にて硬化させることができるが、さらに短時間で硬化させるために35~200℃で10分~1時間加熱してもよい。硬化は加湿下(50~90%RH)で行うことが加水分解を促進する上で好ましい。
 なお、含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物を含有する防汚コーティング剤を塗工する前に、基材上のシリカ層表面を、プラズマ処理、UV処理、オゾン処理等の洗浄や表面を活性化させる処理を施してもよい。
 本発明の撥水部材のフッ素層(撥水撥油層)の膜厚は、0.5~30nmであり、特に1~20nmが好ましい。その膜厚が厚すぎると処理剤が凝集して視認性が悪くなることがあり、薄すぎると表面特性、耐摩耗性が十分でない場合がある。
 このようにして得られた本発明の撥水部材としては、カーナビゲーション、タブレットPC、スマートフォン、携帯電話、デジタルカメラ、デジタルビデオカメラ、PDA、ポータブルオーディオプレーヤー、カーオーディオ、ゲーム機器等の筐体及びディスプレイ、眼鏡レンズ、カメラレンズ、サングラス、胃カメラ等の医療用器機、複写機、PC、液晶ディスプレイ、有機ELディスプレイ、プラズマディスプレイ、タッチパネルディスプレイ、保護フイルム、反射防止フイルムなどの光学物品;浴槽、洗面台のようなサニタリー用品;キッチン台のようなキッチン用品;自動車、電車、航空機などの窓ガラス、ヘッドランプカバー等;外壁用建材;台所用建材;待合室;美術品など;コンパクトディスク、DVDなど;その他、輸送用機器のボディー等が挙げられる。
 以下、実施例及び比較例を示し、本発明を具体的に説明するが、本発明はこれによって限定されるものではない。
  [実施例1~5及び比較例1]
〔シリカ層の形成〕
 表1に示す組成のシリカ処理液(ナノシリカ分散剤)をジュラルミンテストピース(株式会社スタンダードテストピース製A7075P、厚さ2mm、幅50mm、長さ100mmの試験片基板)の外表面上にDip塗工(30秒浸漬、2.5mm/秒で引上げ)した後、150℃で1時間乾燥し、溶剤(純水)を除去して、各ジュラルミンテストピース(基板)の外表面上に実施例1~5のシリカ層をそれぞれ形成した。表2には、蛍光X線により推定した実施例1~5のシリカ層の平均膜厚を示した。

 さらに、下記の方法に基づき上記実施例1~5のシリカ層を形成した各基板の外表面上に撥水撥油層を形成した。比較例1は、シリカ処理液を塗工せず、上記ジュラルミンテストピース(基材)の外表面上に撥水撥油層を直接形成した。
〔撥水撥油層の形成〕
 下記に示す化合物1を固形分で0.1質量%になるようにフッ素系溶剤(Novec7200(3M社製))で希釈した後、スプレー塗工装置(株式会社ティーアンドケー製NST-51)で上記各基板のシリカ層の外表面上にスプレー塗工した。その後、80℃で30分の条件で、フッ素系溶剤を乾燥除去すると共に該撥水撥油層(化合物1)を硬化させて硬化被膜を形成し、実施例1~5及び比較例1の試験体を作製した。蛍光X線装置(株式会社リガク製ZSXmini2)によるF検出量から算出した撥水撥油層の平均の膜厚は約15nmであった。

 上記で得られた試験体を用いて、以下の方法により各種評価を行った。これらの結果を表3に示す。
〔撥水撥油性〕
 接触角計(DropMaster、協和界面科学社製)を用いて、硬化被膜の水に対する接触角及びオレイン酸に対する接触角を測定した。
〔動摩擦係数〕
 硬化被膜のベンコット(旭化成社製)に対する動摩擦係数を、新東科学社製の表面性試験機を用いて、下記条件で測定した。
接触面積:10mm×30mm
荷重:100g
〔皮脂汚れ拭取り性〕
 7人のパネラーにより、額の皮脂を指で硬化被膜の表面に転写し、ベンコット(旭化成社製)で拭取りした際の拭取り性を、下記評価基準により評価した。
  A:汚れを簡単に拭取れる。
  B:汚れを拭取れる。
  C:汚れを拭取り後に少し油が残る。
  D:汚れを拭取れない。
〔耐摩耗試験〕
 往復摩耗試験機(HEIDON 30S、新東科学社製)を用いて、以下の条件で硬化被膜の耐摩耗試験を実施した。耐摩耗試験後の硬化被膜の水に対する接触角を、接触角計(DropMaster、協和界面科学社製)を用いて測定した。
評価環境条件:25℃、湿度40%
擦り材:試料と接触するテスターの先端部(10mm×10mm)に不織布を8枚重ねて包み、輪ゴムで固定した。
荷重:1kg
擦り距離(片道):30mm
擦り速度:3,600mm/min
往復回数:5,000往復

 表3の結果から明らかなように、実施例1~5は、摩耗試験前後においても100°以上の優れた撥水性を示したが、シリカ層を有しない比較例は摩耗試験後に撥水性が大幅に低下した。また、平均粒径が20nmのシリカ粒子を用いた場合(実施例4)は、平均粒径が10nm以下の実施例1~3及び5と比較して、摩耗試験後の撥水性の低下が大きかった。ナノ粒子が小さい方が基材との密着性が良いことを示唆している。さらに、酸化スズナノ粒子を添加しても、表面特性や耐摩耗性に大きな影響はなかったことから、各種ナノ粒子を混合することができる。
 本発明によれば、撥水撥油性に優れた硬化被膜を有する撥水部材を得ることができる。このため、本発明の撥水部材は、特に、油脂の付着が想定される用途に非常に有効であり、電子機器の筐体や、キッチン周り等、日常的に使用し、触れることの多い物でも、長期間にわたって良好な防汚表面を維持することができる。

  1.  基材の外表面上に、シリカナノ粒子を50質量%以上含有する膜厚1nm~5μmのシリカ層を有し、さらに該シリカ層の外表面上に含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物の硬化物を主成分とする膜厚0.5~30nmの撥水撥油層を有する撥水部材。
  2.  含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物が、加水分解性基を少なくとも1つ有するフルオロオキシアルキレン基含有有機ケイ素化合物である請求項1に記載の撥水部材。
  3.  含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物が、下記一般式(1)、(2)、(3)、(4)及び(5)で表されるフッ素含有加水分解性有機ケイ素化合物から選ばれる少なくとも1種である請求項1又は2に記載の撥水部材。

  5.  シリカナノ粒子の平均粒径が30nm以下である請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の撥水部材。
  6.  シリカナノ粒子を50質量%以上含有するシリカ層に、平均粒径が30nm以下の酸化チタンナノ粒子、白金ナノ粒子及び酸化スズナノ粒子から選ばれる1種又は2種以上を0.1~50質量%含むものである請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の撥水部材。
  7.  基材が、金属酸化物、金属、樹脂、セラミック、石英、ガラス、サファイヤ又はダイヤモンドである請求項1~6のいずれか1項に記載の撥水部材。
  8.  基材の外表面上にシリカナノ粒子と溶剤を含む分散液を湿式塗布する工程と、該分散液から該溶剤を乾燥除去する工程と、該溶剤を乾燥除去して形成したシリカ層の外表面上に含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物と溶剤を含む溶液を湿式塗布する工程と、該溶液から該溶剤を乾燥除去して含フッ素有機ケイ素化合物を硬化する工程とを含む請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載の撥水撥油層を有する撥水部材の製造方法。
