La présente invention maintient la tête d'un utilisateur stable même lorsqu'un mécanisme de massage arrière est déplacé dans la direction verticale et que la tête ne peut pas être soutenue par le mécanisme de massage arrière. Ce dispositif de massage (1) de type chaise comprend : une partie dossier (3) sur laquelle un utilisateur s'incline ; un mécanisme de massage arrière (6) qui est intégré dans la partie dossier (3) ; et un rail de guidage arrière (7) qui guide le mécanisme de massage arrière (6) dans la direction verticale à l'intérieur de la partie dossier (3). Le dispositif de massage (1) de type chaise est caractérisé en ce que : le mécanisme de massage arrière (6) est déplacé vers le haut/vers le bas le long du rail de guidage arrière (7) ; et, lorsque le mécanisme de massage arrière (6) a été déplacé dans une position éloignée de la tête de l'utilisateur, un élément oreiller (17) qui peut supporter la tête de l'utilisateur sort de l'intérieur de la partie dossier (3).
