- a charging control type ink jet recording apparatus may be employed as a means for performing this manifestation.
- ⁇ Charge control type ink jet has the advantage of being able to print on printed matter in a non-contact manner, but the printing mechanism is always in contact with air and is easily affected by outside air. For this reason, in order to operate the inkjet recording device stably, customers often perform daily maintenance such as cleaning the printing mechanism. However, if the device still fails, the customer should contact the manufacturer's service base. The problem will be solved by service maintenance. At this time, the maintenance service staff at the service base goes to the customer's manufacturing factory to solve the problem in order to visually check the status of the printing mechanism, etc.
- the device status is obtained from the communication environment that combines wireless communication and Internet communication, and based on this, the maintenance service personnel determines the abnormality content of the customer device.
- the remote maintenance support service of the present application is “an inkjet recording apparatus with a connection terminal of an external communication device”, “ Detachable external communication device that realizes wireless communication ”,“ network terminal capable of operating video camera function and wireless communication and Internet communication ”,“ customer information and database for troubleshooting, maintenance service staff information etc. It is configured by combining at least one of the “data server capable of Internet communication”.

- the external communication device can be freely attached and detached, and the customer attaches to the corresponding device when receiving the remote maintenance support service.
- the network terminal is assumed to be a portable terminal such as a tablet, a smartphone, or a notebook computer, and it is assumed that dedicated software for remote maintenance support service has been downloaded in advance.
- the data server When a customer connects an external communication device to an inkjet recording device and receives a remote maintenance support service, the data server obtains customer information (eg, factory location, language information, maintenance information) from the product number of the inkjet recording device. The maintenance service personnel in charge). Based on this information, the maintenance support personnel suitable for the customer service are listed, and according to the list order, the customer's service maintenance request is sent to the network terminal owned by the maintenance service personnel for a certain period of time, and the customer and service location ( Matching with maintenance service personnel). When the service base replies that it can respond, the data server establishes a communication connection between the customer and the service base.
- customer information eg, factory location, language information, maintenance information
- the service base acquires the internal data of the customer's device and the abnormal state of the device through the network terminal after establishing the communication connection.
- customers are instructed to receive visual information such as the printing mechanism, transport line status, and printing results as video data through a network terminal, conduct interviews with customers about the device status, and further have a data server database.
- the service base presents an optimal apparatus restoration method to the customer.
- the presenting means there are means for instructing the restoration method to the network terminal of the customer, and means for remotely controlling and setting the customer-side ink jet recording apparatus by operating the ink jet recording apparatus possessed by the service base.
- automatic determination from the data server is also provided in addition to the service base independently making a determination.
- the customer determines whether or not the abnormal state of the device has been resolved by performing the device recovery method presented by the service base, and if it is resolved, returns a reply to that effect on the network terminal. If the problem is not solved, a reply to that effect is made at the network terminal, and at the same time a maintenance service reservation is made if necessary.
- maintenance service reservations customer visits by maintenance service personnel can be managed in advance by selecting a date and time that is convenient for the customer from the available customer visit dates entered in the data server by the customer service base in advance. I can do it.
- the reply of the solution of the recovery method is fed back to the database of the data server and used for the remote maintenance support service after the next time.
- This remote maintenance support service can be used not only when an abnormality occurs, but also when receiving inquiries about device operation from the customer.
- the dedicated software for remote maintenance support service shall include download processing so that the latest version can always be used when a communication connection is established.
- the screen display includes a function for automatically converting the language so that it can cope with different languages used by the customer and the service base.
- the customer can (1) reduce the equipment non-operation time when the equipment falls into an abnormal state, thereby minimizing the impact on the production system as much as possible, and (2) reducing the cost of moving maintenance service personnel. Since the service cost can be reduced, the service cost can be reduced.
