Description

光電変換素子
 本発明は、光電変換素子に関する。
 近年、ペロブスカイト化合物を活性層の材料として用いた光電変換素子が提案されている。
 例えば、透明電極であるパターニングされたITO(インジウムスズ酸化物(Indium Tin Oxide)層上に、ポリ(3,4-エチレンジオキシチオフェン)/ポリ(4-スチレンスルホン酸)(PEDOT/PSS)を含む溶液を塗布することによって正孔注入層を形成し、さらに前記正孔注入層上にペロブスカイト化合物を含む液を塗布することによって活性層を形成し、前記活性層上にフラーレン誘導体である[6,6]-フェニルC61-酪酸メチルエステル(C60PCBM)を含む液を塗布することによって電子輸送層を形成し、最後に前記電子輸送層上に陰極を蒸着することにより形成される光電変換素子が報告されている(非特許文献1参照。)。

 しかしながら、上述の非特許文献1に記載された光電変換素子では光照射に対する耐久性が必ずしも十分とはいえない。
 本発明の目的は、光照射に対する高い耐久性を有する光電変換素子を提供することにある。
 すなわち、本発明は、下記[1]~[6]を提供する。

 本発明によれば、光電変換素子の光照射に対する耐久性をより高めることができる。
 以下、本発明を詳細に説明する。
 本発明の光電変換素子は、陰極と、陽極と、前記陰極及び前記陽極の間に設けられており、ペロブスカイト化合物を含む活性層と、前記陰極及び前記活性層の間に設けられており、式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体を含む電子輸送層とを含む。
(ペロブスカイト化合物)
 本発明の光電変換素子の活性層の材料としては、ペロブスカイト化合物が用いられる。
本明細書において、ペロブスカイト化合物とは、ペロブスカイト構造を有する化合物をいう。ペロブスカイト化合物は、有機物及び無機物がペロブスカイト構造の構成要素となっているペロブスカイト化合物(有機無機ハイブリッド構造のペロブスカイト化合物)であることが好ましい。
 さらに、本発明におけるペロブスカイト化合物は、下記式(3)、式(4)又は式(5)で表される化合物であることが好ましく、下記式(3)で表される化合物であることがより好ましい。

 式(3)中、Mは、2価の金属(例、Cu、Ni、Mn、Fe、Co、Pd、Ge、Sn、Pb、Eu)であり、3個のXは、それぞれ独立に、F、Cl、Br又はIである。
 前記式(3)で表される化合物のうち、CHNHPbI、CHNHPbCl、CHNHPbBr、CHNHSnI、CHNHSnCl、CHNHSnBr等がさらに好ましい。

 式(4)中、R10は、炭素原子数2以上のアルキル基、アルケニル基、アラルキル基、アリール基、1価の複素環基又は1価の芳香族複素環基であり、Mは、2価の金属(例、Cu、Ni、Mn、Fe、Co、Pd、Ge、Sn、Pb、Eu)であり、4個のXは、それぞれ独立に、F、Cl、Br又はIである。

 式(5)中、Mは、2価の金属(例、Cu、Ni、Mn、Fe、Co、Pd、Ge、Sn、Pb、Eu)であり、3個のXは、それぞれ独立に、F、Cl、Br又はIである。
 式(4)中、R10で表されるアルキル基は、直鎖状であっても分岐状であってもよく、シクロアルキル基であってもよい。R10で表されるアルキル基の炭素原子数は、通常2~40であり、2~30であることが好ましい。
 R10で表されるアルキル基としては、例えば、エチル基、プロピル基、イソプロピル基、tert-ブチル基、ペンチル基、ヘキシル基、オクチル基、イソオクチル基、ノニル基、ドデシル基、トリデシル基、テトラデシル基、ペンタデシル基、オクタデシル基、イコサニル基、ドコサニル基、トリアコンタニル基、テトラコンタニル基、シクロペンチル基、シクロヘキシル基等が挙げられる。
 R10で表されるアルケニル基の炭素原子数は、通常2~30であり、2~20であることが好ましい。R10で表されるアルケニル基としては、例えば、ビニル基、1-プロペニル基、2-プロペニル基、2-ブテニル基、オレイル基、アリル基等が挙げられる。
 R10で表されるアラルキル基の炭素原子数は、通常7~40であり、7~30であることが好ましい。R10で表されるアラルキル基としては、例えば、ベンジル基、フェニルエチル基、フェニルプロピル基、ナフチルメチル基、ナフチルエチル基等が挙げられる。
 R10で表されるアリール基の炭素原子数は、通常6~30であり、6~20であることが好ましい。R10で表されるアリール基としては、例えば、フェニル基、p-クロロフェニル基、メシチル基、トリル基、キシリル基、ナフチル基、アントリル基、アズレニル基、アセナフテニル基、フルオレニル基、フェナントリル基、インデニル基、ピレニル基、ビフェニリル基等が挙げられる。
 本明細書において、1価の複素環基とは、複素環式化合物から、複素環に結合している水素原子1個を取り除いた基を意味し、1価の芳香族複素環基とは、芳香族複素環式化合物から、芳香族複素環に結合している水素原子1個を取り除いた基を意味する。R10で表される1価の複素環基の炭素原子数は、通常1~30であり、1~20であることが好ましい。R10で表される1価の芳香族複素環基の炭素原子数は、通常2~30であり、2~20であることが好ましい。R10で表される1価の複素環基又は1価の芳香族複素環基としては、例えば、ピロリジル基、イミダゾリジニル基、モルホリル基、オキサゾリル基、オキサゾリジニル基、フリル基、チエニル基、ピリジル基、ピリダジニル基、ピリミジニル基、ピラジニル基、トリアジニル基、イミダゾリル基、ピラゾリル基、チアゾリル基、キナゾリニル基、カルバゾリル基、カルボリニル基、ジアザカルバゾリル基、フタラジニル基が挙げられる。
 ペロブスカイト化合物は1種のみを活性層の材料として用いてもよいし、2種以上を用いてもよい。
(フラーレン誘導体)
 本発明の光電変換素子の電子輸送層の材料としては、下記式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体が用いられる。

 式(1)中、A環はフラーレン骨格を表す。R、R、R及びRは、それぞれ独立に、水素原子、ハロゲン原子、ハロゲン原子で置換されていてもよいアルキル基、置換基を有していてもよいアリール基、置換基を有していてもよいアリールアルキル基、置換基を有していてもよい1価の複素環基又は下記式(2)で表される基を表す。nは、1以上の整数を表す。

 式(2)中、mは1~6の整数を表す。qは1~4の整数を表す。Xは、水素原子、アルキル基、又は置換基を有していてもよいアリール基を表す。mが複数個ある場合、複数個あるmは互いに同一であっても異なっていてもよい。
 式(1)中、nは、1又は2であることが好ましい。
 式(2)中、mは2であることが好ましい。また式(2)中、qは2であることが好ましい。
 式(2)中、Xで表されるアルキル基の炭素原子数は、通常1~30であり、1~20であることが好ましい。Xで表される「置換基を有していてもよいアリール基」におけるアリール基の炭素原子数は、通常6~30であり、6~20であることが好ましい。Xは、水素原子又はアルキル基であることが好ましく、水素原子又は炭素原子数1~5のアルキル基であることがより好ましく、水素原子又はメチル基であることがさらに好ましい。
 式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体は、Rが、式(2)で表される基であることが好ましい。
 本明細書において、「置換基を有していてもよい」とは、その化合物又は基を構成するすべての水素原子が無置換の場合、及び1個以上の水素原子のうちの一部又は全部が置換基によって置換されている場合の両方の態様を含む。
 置換基としては、例えば、アルキル基、ハロゲン化アルキル基、アルコキシ基、アルキルチオ基、アリール基、アリールオキシ基、アリールチオ基、アリールアルキル基、アリールアルコキシ基、アリールアルキルチオ基、アリールアルケニル基、アリールアルキニル基、アミノ基、置換アミノ基、シリル基、置換シリル基、シリルオキシ基、置換シリルオキシ基、ハロゲン原子、アシル基、アシルオキシ基、イミン残基、ジアルキルアミノ基、ジアリールアミノ基、アミド基、酸イミド基、1価の複素環基、カルボキシル基、置換カルボキシル基、シアノ基、重合可能な置換基等が挙げられる。
 「重合可能な置換基」とは、重合反応を起こすことにより2分子以上の分子間で結合を形成し、化合物を生成可能な置換基のことを表す。このような基としては炭素-炭素多重結合を有する基(例えば、ビニル基、エチニル基、ブテニル基、アクリロイル基、アクリル酸エステルから水素原子1個が除かれた基、アクリルアミドから水素原子1個が除かれた基、メタクリロイル基、メタクリル酸エステルから水素原子1個が除かれた基、メタクリルアミドから水素原子1個が除かれた基、アレンから水素原子1個が除かれた基、アリル基、ビニルオキシ基、ビニルアミノ基、フリル基、ピロリル基、チエニル基、シロールから水素原子1個が除かれた基、ベンゾシクロブテン構造を有する基等を挙げることができる)、小員環(例えば、シクロプロピル基、シクロブチル基、エポキシ基、オキセタン構造を有する基、ジケテン構造を有する基、エピスルフィド構造を有する基等)を有する基、ラクトン構造を有する基、ラクタム構造を有する基、又はシロキサン誘導体を含有する基等がある。また、上記基の他に、エステル結合、アミド結合を形成可能な基の組み合わせなども利用できる。このような基の組み合わせとしては、例えば、ヒドロカルビルオキシカルボニル基とアミノ基との組み合せ、ヒドロカルビルオキシカルボニル基とヒドロキシ基との組み合せなどが挙げられる。
 A環で表されるフラーレン骨格としては、例えば、C60フラーレンに由来するフラーレン骨格、炭素原子数が70以上であるフラーレンに由来するフラーレン骨格が挙げられる。
 A環で表されるフラーレン骨格は、所定の基が付加されたフラーレン骨格であってもよい。A環で表されるフラーレン骨格が、複数の基を有する場合、該複数の基は互いに結合していてもよい。A環で表されるフラーレン骨格が有していてもよい基としては、例えば、インダン-1,3-ジイル基、置換基を有していてもよいメチレン基が挙げられる。
 A環で表されるフラーレン骨格が有し得る、「置換基を有していてもよいメチレン基」における置換基の好ましい例としては、アリール基、ヘテロアリール基、及びヒドロカルビルオキシカルボニルアルキル基が挙げられる。
 A環で表されるフラーレン骨格が有し得る、「置換基を有していてもよいメチレン基」としては、アリール基及びヒドロカルビルオキシカルボニルアルキル基を有するメチレン基が好ましく、フェニル基及びアルコキシカルボニルプロピル基を有するメチレン基がより好ましく、フェニル基及びメトキシカルボニルプロピル基を有するメチレン基がさらに好ましい。
 したがって、A環で表されるフラーレン骨格は、フェニルC61酪酸メチルエステル(C60PCBM)に由来するフラーレン骨格、フェニルC71酪酸メチルエステル(C70PCBM)に由来するフラーレン骨格であってもよい。
 R、R、R及びRで表されるハロゲン原子としては、例えば、フッ素原子、塩素原子、臭素原子、及びヨウ素原子が挙げられる。
 R、R、R及びRで表される「ハロゲン原子で置換されていてもよいアルキル基」におけるアルキル基は、直鎖状であっても分岐状であってもよく、シクロアルキル基であってもよい。R、R、R及びRで表される「ハロゲン原子で置換されていてもよいアルキル基」の炭素原子数は、通常1~30であり、1~20であることが好ましい。
 R、R、R及びRで表される「ハロゲン原子で置換されていてもよいアルキル基」におけるハロゲン原子の例は、R、R、R及びRで表されるハロゲン原子の例と同様である。
 R、R、R及びRで表される「置換基を有していてもよいアリール基」におけるアリール基は、芳香族炭化水素から芳香環に結合している水素原子1個を除いた基を意味する。アリール基の炭素原子数は、通常6~60であり、6~16であることが好ましく、6~10であることがより好ましい。
 アリール基の具体例としては、フェニル基、1-ナフチル基、及び2-ナフチル基が挙げられる。アリール基中の水素原子は置換基で置換されていてもよく、該置換基としては、例えば、アルキル基、ハロゲン原子、ハロゲン化アルキル基、アルコキシ基、ジアルキルアミノ基、ジアリールアミノ基、シリル基、及び置換シリル基が挙げられる。置換基を有するアリール基としては、例えば、3-メチルフェニル基、トリメチルシリルフェニル基、2-メトキシフェニル基、4-メトキシフェニル基、2,4,5-トリメトキシフェニル基、4-(ジフェニルアミノ)-フェニル基、2-(ジメチルアミノ)-フェニル基、3-フルオロフェニル基、及び4-(トリフルオロメチル)-フェニル基が挙げられる。
 R、R、R及びRで表される「置換基を有していてもよいアリールアルキル基」におけるアリールアルキル基の炭素原子数は、通常7~61であり、7~17であることが好ましく、7~11であることがより好ましい。アリールアルキル基の具体例としては、ベンジル基、フェニルエチル基、フェニルプロピル基、ナフチルメチル基、ナフチルエチル基等が挙げられる。
 R、R、R及びRで表される「置換基を有していてもよい1価の複素環基」における1価の複素環基の炭素原子数は、通常1~30であり、1~20であることが好ましい。R、R、R及びRで表される「置換基を有していてもよい1価の複素環基」における1価の複素環基としては、例えば、チエニル基、2,2’-ビチオフェン-5-イル基が挙げられる。
 Rが複数存在する場合、複数存在するRは互いに結合していてもよい。Rが複数存在する場合、すなわちnが2以上の整数を表す場合、複数あるR同士が結合している置換基としては、例えば、下記式(3)で表される2価の基が挙げられる。

 式(3)中、pは1~5の整数を表す。
 pは、2~4の整数であることが好ましく、3であることがより好ましい。上記式(3)で表される2価の基は、置換基を有していてもよい。
 式(3)で表されるフラーレン誘導体の具体的な構造としては、下記の構造が挙げられる。下記の構造中の数値「60」及び「70」が付された環構造は、それぞれC60フラーレン骨格及びC70フラーレン骨格を表す。

 本発明の光電変換素子の電子輸送層には、式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体を1種のみ用いてもよいし、2種以上用いてもよい。
 上記のとおり説明した式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体は、従来公知の任意好適な方法により製造することができる。式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体は、例えば、グリシン誘導体及びアルデヒドから生成するイミンから脱炭酸して生じるイミニウムカチオンと、フラーレンとの1,3-双極子環化付加反応を用いる方法により製造することができる。かかる方法は、例えば、特開2009-67708号公報、特開2009-84264号公報、特開2011-241205号公報、特開2011-77486号公報等に開示されている。
 なお、式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体を製造するに際して、反応時間、反応温度などの反応条件、反応原料(例えば、グリシン誘導体、アルデヒド、及びフラーレン)の使用量を適宜調整することにより、式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体における「n」の数を調整することができる。
(光電変換素子)
 本発明の光電変換素子に含まれる陰極、陽極、活性層、及び電子輸送層、並びに必要に応じて含まれる他の要素(正孔注入層等)について、以下に詳しく説明する。
(光電変換素子の形態)
 本発明の光電変換素子は、既に説明したとおり、一対の電極(陽極及び陰極)と、該一対の電極の間に設けられた活性層を含む。陰極及び活性層の間には、電子輸送層が設けられている。
(支持基板)
 本発明の光電変換素子は、通常、支持基板上に作製される。支持基板としては、電極を形成し、有機物の層を形成して光電変換素子を作製する際に化学的に変化しない材料により構成される基板が好適に用いられる。支持基板の材料としては、例えば、ガラス、プラスチック、高分子フィルム、シリコンが挙げられる。支持基板側から光を取り込む形態の光電変換素子の場合、支持基板には光透過性の高い基板が好適に用いられる。また不透明な支持基板上に光電変換素子を作製する場合には、支持基板を通して光を取り込むことができない。そのため、支持基板から遠い方の電極が透明又は半透明であることが好ましい。支持基板から遠い方にある電極が透明又は半透明であることにより、不透明な支持基板を用いた場合に、支持基板から遠い方にある電極を通して光を取り込むことができる。
(電極)
 電極は、導電性の材料で形成される。電極の材料としては、例えば、金属、金属酸化物、導電性高分子等の有機物を用いることができる。電極の材料としては、例えば、リチウム、ナトリウム、カリウム、ルビジウム、セシウム、マグネシウム、カルシウム、ストロンチウム、バリウム、アルミニウム、スカンジウム、バナジウム、亜鉛、イットリウム、インジウム、セリウム、サマリウム、ユーロピウム、テルビウム、イッテルビウム、金、銀、白金、銅、マンガン、チタン、コバルト、ニッケル、タングステン、錫等の金属、それらの金属からなる群より選ばれる2つ以上の金属を含む合金、酸化インジウム、酸化亜鉛、酸化スズ、ITO、フッ素化スズ酸化物(FTO)、インジウム亜鉛酸化物(IZO)、グラファイト、グラファイト層間化合物等が挙げられる。合金の例としては、マグネシウム-銀合金、マグネシウム-インジウム合金、マグネシウム-アルミニウム合金、インジウム-銀合金、リチウム-アルミニウム合金、リチウム-マグネシウム合金、リチウム-インジウム合金、カルシウム-アルミニウム合金等が挙げられる。導電性高分子の例としては、ポリアニリン及びその誘導体、ポリチオフェン及びその誘導体が挙げられる。
 電極は、単層の形態であっても、複数の層が積層された形態であってもよい。
 陽極及び陰極のうちの少なくとも一方は、透明又は半透明であることが好ましい。本発明の光電変換素子の活性層に含まれるペロブスカイト化合物は通常結晶構造を有しており、透明又は半透明の電極側から入射した光は、活性層中において、結晶構造を有するペロブスカイト化合物に吸収されて電子及び正孔を生成する。生成した電子と正孔とが活性層中を移動して互いに異なる電極に至ることにより光電変換素子の外部に電気エネルギー(電流)として取り出される。
 透明又は半透明の電極の材料の例としては、導電性の金属酸化物、金属等が挙げられ、これらの材料が透明ではない場合には、光が透過する程度の厚さの薄膜とすることにより、透明又は半透明な電極とすることができる。透明又は半透明の電極の材料として、具体的には、例えば、酸化インジウム、酸化亜鉛、酸化スズ、及びそれらの複合体であるITO、IZO、FTO、NESA、金、白金、銀、銅、アルミニウムが挙げられる。透明又は半透明の電極の材料は、ITO、IZO、及び酸化スズから選ばれる1種以上を含むことが好ましく、ITO、IZO、及び酸化スズから選ばれる1種以上であることがより好ましい。
 電極の表面は、オゾンUV処理、コロナ処理、超音波処理等の処理が施されていてもよい。
(電極の形成方法)
 電極の形成方法に特に制限はなく、例えば、前記電極の材料を真空蒸着法、スパッタリング法、イオンプレーティング法、メッキ法、塗布法等によって電極を形成すべき層上又は支持基板上に形成することができる。電極の材料が、ポリアニリン及びその誘導体、ポリチオフェン及びその誘導体、ナノ粒子、ナノワイヤ又はナノチューブを含むエマルション(乳濁液)又はサスペンション(懸濁液)等である場合、好ましくは塗布法によって電極を形成することができる。また、電極の材料が導電性物質を含む場合、導電性物質を含む塗布液、金属インキ、金属ペースト、溶融状態の低融点金属等を用いて、塗布法によって電極を形成してもよい。塗布液等を塗布するための方法としては、例えば、スピンコート法、キャスティング法、マイクログラビアコート法、グラビアコート法、バーコート法、ロールコート法、ワイヤーバーコート法、ディップコート法、スプレーコート法、スクリーン印刷法、フレキソ印刷法、オフセット印刷法、インクジェット印刷法、ディスペンサー印刷法、ノズルコート法、キャピラリーコート法を挙げることができ、これらの中でもスピンコート法、フレキソ印刷法、インクジェット印刷法、ディスペンサー印刷法が好ましい。
 上記のエマルション又はサスペンションに含まれ得る導電性物質としては、金、銀等の金属、ITO等の酸化物、カーボンナノチューブ等が挙げられる。なお電極は、ナノ粒子又はナノファイバーのみから構成されていてもよい。電極は、特表2010-525526号公報に開示されているように、ナノ粒子又はナノファイバーが、導電性ポリマーなどの所定の媒体中に分散されていてもよい。
 電極を塗布法により形成する際に用いる塗布液の溶媒としては、例えば、トルエン、キシレン、メシチレン、テトラリン、デカリン、ビシクロヘキシル、n-ブチルベンゼン、sec-ブチルベゼン、tert-ブチルベンゼン等の炭化水素溶媒、四塩化炭素、クロロホルム、ジクロロメタン、ジクロロエタン、クロロブタン、ブロモブタン、クロロペンタン、ブロモペンタン、クロロヘキサン、ブロモヘキサン、クロロシクロヘキサン、ブロモシクロヘキサン等のハロゲン化飽和炭化水素溶媒、クロロベンゼン、ジクロロベンゼン、トリクロロベンゼン等のハロゲン化不飽和炭化水素溶媒、テトラヒドロフラン、テトラヒドロピラン等のエーテル溶媒、水、アルコール等が挙げられる。アルコールの具体例としては、メタノール、エタノール、イソプロパノール、ブタノール、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、ブトキシエタノール、メトキシブタノール等が挙げられる。また本発明に用いられる塗布液は、2種類以上の溶媒を含んでいてもよく、上記で例示した溶媒を2種類以上含んでいてもよい。
(活性層)
 活性層は、光エネルギーを電気エネルギーに変換する機能を有する層である。
 本発明の光電変換素子の活性層は、ペロブスカイト化合物を含む。ペロブスカイト化合物の具体例及び好ましい例は、上述のとおりである。
 活性層は、ペロブスカイト化合物の他に、他の成分を含んでいてもよい。活性層が含み得る他の成分の例としては、電子供与性化合物、電子受容性化合物、紫外線吸収剤、酸化防止剤、吸収した光により電荷を発生させる機能を増感するための増感剤、紫外線に対する安定性を増すための光安定剤、及び機械的特性を高めるためのバインダーが挙げられる。
(活性層の形成方法)
 ペロブスカイト化合物を含む活性層を形成する方法は特に制限されない。活性層の形成方法としては、例えば、塗布法が挙げられる。活性層の形成工程をより簡便にする観点からはペロブスカイト化合物を含む活性層を塗布法によって形成することが好ましい。塗布法に用いられ得る塗布液は、前記ペロブスカイト化合物を含む溶液であっても、層の形成後にペロブスカイト化合物に自己組織化反応により変換し得る前駆体を含む溶液であってもよい。このような前駆体としては、例えば、CHNHPbI、CHNHPbBr、(CH(CHCHCHNHPbI(ここでnは5~8の整数である。)、(CNHPbBrが挙げられる。
 前記式(3)~式(5)で表されるペロブスカイト化合物を含む活性層は、金属ハロゲン化物を含む溶液を、活性層が形成されるべき層の上に塗布した後に、形成された金属ハロゲン化物の膜に、ハロゲン化アンモニウムを含む溶液、ハロゲン化アミン又はホルムアミジンハロゲン化水素酸塩を含む溶液をさらに塗布する方法、又は形成された金属ハロゲン化物の膜を、ハロゲン化アンモニウムを含む溶液、ハロゲン化アミン又はホルムアミジンハロゲン化水素酸塩を含む溶液に浸漬する方法によっても形成することができる。
 ペロブスカイト化合物を含む活性層は、活性層が形成されるべき層の上に、例えば、ヨウ化鉛を含む溶液を塗布し、形成されたヨウ化鉛の膜にヨウ化メチルアンモニウムを含む溶液を塗布することによって形成することができる。
 前記ペロブスカイト化合物を含む塗布液、前記金属ハロゲン化物を含む溶液、前記ハロゲン化アンモニウムを含む溶液及び前記ハロゲン化アミンを含む溶液を塗布する方法としては、例えば、スピンコート法、キャスティング法、マイクログラビアコート法、グラビアコート法、バーコート法、ロールコート法、ワイヤーバーコート法、ディップコート法、スプレーコート法、スクリーン印刷法、フレキソ印刷法、オフセット印刷法、インクジェット印刷法、ディスペンサー印刷法、ノズルコート法、キャピラリーコート法を挙げることができ、これらの中でもスピンコート法、フレキソ印刷法、インクジェット印刷法、ディスペンサー印刷法が好ましい。
 塗布法によりペロブスカイト化合物を含む活性層を形成する場合、塗布法に用いられる塗布液にはペロブスカイト化合物又はペロブスカイト化合物の前駆体の他に、溶媒が含まれていてもよく、溶媒が含まれていることが好ましい。
 前記活性層を形成するための塗布液を調製するための溶媒としては、エステル類(例、メチルホルメート、エチルホルメート、プロピルホルメート、ペンチルホルメート、メチルアセテート、エチルアセテート、ペンチルアセテート等)、ケトン類(例、γ-ブチロラクトン、N-メチル-2-ピロリドン、アセトン、ジメチルケトン、ジイソブチルケトン、シクロペンタノン、シクロヘキサノン、メチルシクロヘキサノン等)、エーテル類(例、ジエチルエーテル、メチル-tert-ブチルエーテル、ジイソプロピルエーテル、ジメトキシメタン、ジメトキシエタン、1,4-ジオキサン、1,3-ジオキソラン、4-メチルジオキソラン、テトラヒドロフラン、メチルテトラヒドロフラン、アニソール、フェネトール等)、アルコール類(例、メタノール、エタノール、1-プロパノール、2-プロパノール、1-ブタノール、2-ブタノール、tert-ブタノール、1-ペンタノール、2-メチル-2-ブタノール、メトキシプロパノール、ジアセトンアルコール、シクロヘキサノール、2-フルオロエタノール、2,2,2-トリフルオロエタノール、2,2,3,3-テトラフルオロ-1-プロパノール等)、グリコールエーテル(セロソルブ)類(例、エチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、エチレングリコールモノエチルエーテル、エチレングリコールモノブチルエーテル、エチレングリコールモノエチルエーテルアセテート、トリエチレングリコールジメチルエーテル等)、アミド溶剤(例、N,N-ジメチルホルムアミド、アセトアミド、N,N-ジメチルアセトアミド等)、ニトリル溶剤(例、アセトニトリル、イソブチロニトリル、プロピオニトリル、メトキシアセトニトリル等)、カーボネート溶剤(例、エチレンカーボネート、プロピレンカーボネート等)、ハロゲン化炭化水素(例、塩化メチレン、ジクロロメタン、クロロホルム等)、炭化水素(例、n-ペンタン、シクロヘキサン、n-ヘキサン、ベンゼン、トルエン、キシレン等)、ジメチルスルホキシド等が挙げられる。これらの溶媒を構成する化合物は分岐構造若しくは環状構造を有していてもよく、エステル類、ケトン類、エーテル類及びアルコール類の官能基(即ち、-O-で表される基、-(C=O)-で表される基、-COO-で表される基、-OHで表される基)のうちの2つ以上を有していてもよい。エステル類、ケトン類、エーテル類及びアルコール類の炭化水素部分における水素原子は、ハロゲン原子(特に、フッ素原子)で置換されていてもよい。
 また前記活性層を形成するための塗布液は、2種類以上の溶媒を含んでいてもよく、上記で例示した溶媒を2種類以上含んでいてもよい。
 塗布液に用いられる溶媒の量に特に制限はない。用いられる溶媒の量は、ペロブスカイト化合物又はペロブスカイト化合物の前駆体の重量に対して、1倍以上10000倍以下の重量であることが好ましく、10倍以上1000倍以下の重量であることがより好ましい。例えば、前記金属ハロゲン化物、ハロゲン化アンモニウム、ハロゲン化アミンの重量に対し、溶媒はそれぞれ1倍以上10000倍以下の重量とすることが好ましく、10倍以上1000倍以下の重量とすることがより好ましい。
 活性層を形成するための塗布液として、上記の説明では溶液を用いる例を説明した。しかしながら本発明において、塗布液はこれに限定されず、溶液であっても、溶液でなくともよく、エマルション(乳濁液)、サスペンション(懸濁液)等の分散液であってもよい。
 前記塗布液の塗布後において、前記活性層を形成するにあたり溶媒を除去することが好ましい。溶媒を除去する方法として、加熱処理、風乾処理、減圧処理等が挙げられる。
(電子輸送層)
 本発明の光電変換素子では、陰極と活性層との間に、電子輸送層が設けられる。電子輸送層は、上記式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体を含む。式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体の具体例及び好ましい例は、既に説明したとおりである。
 電子輸送層は、式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体以外の電子輸送性材料を含んでいてもよい。式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体以外の電子輸送層に含まれていてもよい電子輸送性材料は、有機化合物であっても無機化合物であってもよい。有機化合物である電子輸送性材料の例としては、以下に例示される低分子化合物である電子輸送性材料及び高分子化合物である電子輸送性材料、並びにカーボンナノチューブが挙げられる。低分子化合物である電子輸送性材料としては、例えば、オキサジアゾール誘導体、アントラキノジメタン及びその誘導体、ベンゾキノン及びその誘導体、ナフトキノン及びその誘導体、アントラキノン及びその誘導体、テトラシアノアントラキノジメタン及びその誘導体、フルオレノン誘導体、ジフェニルジシアノエチレン及びその誘導体、ジフェノキノン誘導体、8-ヒドロキシキノリン及びその誘導体の金属錯体、ポリキノリン及びその誘導体、ポリキノキサリン及びその誘導体、ポリフルオレン及びその誘導体、C60フラーレン等のフラーレン及びそれらの誘導体、バソクプロイン等のフェナントレン誘導体等が挙げられる。高分子化合物である電子輸送性材料としては、例えば、ポリビニルカルバゾール及びその誘導体、ポリシラン及びその誘導体、側鎖又は主鎖に芳香族アミン構造を含むポリシロキサン誘導体、ポリアニリン及びその誘導体、ポリチオフェン及びその誘導体、ポリピロール及びその誘導体、ポリフェニレンビニレン及びその誘導体、ポリチエニレンビニレン及びその誘導体、ポリフルオレン及びその誘導体等が挙げられる。式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体以外の電子輸送層に含まれていてもよい電子輸送性材料としては、これらのなかでも、フラーレン及びその誘導体(ただし、式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体を除く。)が好ましい。
 フラーレン及びその誘導体としては、例えば、C60フラーレン、C70フラーレン、及びC70フラーレンよりも炭素原子数が大きいフラーレン、並びにそれらの誘導体が挙げられる。C60フラーレンの誘導体としては、例えば、下記のフラーレン誘導体が挙げられる。

 無機化合物である電子輸送性材料としては、例えば、酸化亜鉛、酸化チタン、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化スズ、酸化インジウム、ITO、FTO、ガリウムドープ酸化亜鉛(GZO)、アンチモンドープ酸化スズ(ATO)、及びアルミニウムドープ酸化亜鉛(AZO)が挙げられ、これらの中でも、酸化亜鉛、ガリウムドープ酸化亜鉛又はアルミニウムドープ酸化亜鉛が好ましい。なお、式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体の他に、無機化合物である電子輸送性材料を含む電子輸送層を形成する際には、式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体に加えて、無機化合物を粒子状にして塗布液に含有させ、この塗布液を塗布することにより、電子輸送層を形成することが好ましい。粒子状の無機化合物を含む電子輸送性材料としては、酸化亜鉛、ガリウムドープ酸化亜鉛又はアルミニウムドープ酸化亜鉛のナノ粒子を含む電子輸送性材料が好ましい。無機化合物である電子輸送性材料は、酸化亜鉛、ガリウムドープ酸化亜鉛又はアルミニウムドープ酸化亜鉛のナノ粒子のみからなることが好ましい。なお、酸化亜鉛、ガリウムドープ酸化亜鉛又はアルミニウムドープ酸化亜鉛の球相当の平均粒子径は、1nm~1000nmであることが好ましく、10nm~100nmであることがより好ましい。平均粒子径はレーザー光散乱法、X線回折法によって測定され得る。
(電子輸送層の形成方法)
 電子輸送層の形成方法に特に制限はない。電子輸送層の形成方法としては、例えば、真空蒸着法、塗布法が挙げられる。電子輸送層は、塗布法により形成することが好ましい。
 電子輸送層を塗布法により形成する際に用いられる塗布液は、式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体に加えて、必要に応じて他の電子輸送性材料を含み得る。電子輸送層は、式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体と必要に応じて添加される他の電子輸送性材料と溶媒とを含む塗布液を、活性層に塗布することにより形成することが好ましい。塗布液は、塗布液が塗布される層(活性層など)に損傷を与えないか又は与え難い塗布液を用いることが好ましく、具体的には塗布液が塗布される層(活性層など)を溶解しないか又は溶解し難い塗布液とすることが好ましい。
 前記電子輸送層を形成するための塗布液に含まれる溶媒としては、例えばアルコール、ケトン、炭化水素等が挙げられる。アルコールの具体例としては、メタノール、エタノール、イソプロパノール、ブタノール、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、ブトキシエタノール、メトキシブタノール等が挙げられる。ケトンの具体例としては、アセトン、メチルエチルケトン、メチルイソブチルケトン、2-ヘプタノン、シクロヘキサノン等が挙げられ、炭化水素の具体例としては、n-ペンタン、シクロヘキサン、n-ヘキサン、ベンゼン、トルエン、キシレン、テトラリン、クロロベンゼン、オルトジクロロベンゼン等が挙げられる。また電子輸送層を形成するための塗布液は、2種類以上の溶媒を含んでいてもよく、上記で例示した溶媒を2種類以上含んでいてもよい。用いられる前記溶媒の量は、式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体及び必要に応じて添加される他の電子輸送性材料の重量に対し、1倍以上10000倍以下の重量であることが好ましく、10倍以上1000倍以下の重量であることがより好ましい。
 前記溶媒と、前記式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体と、必要に応じて他の電子輸送性材料とを含む塗布液は、濾過して用いることが好ましく、孔径0.5μmの含フッ素樹脂(例えば、テフロン(登録商標))製のフィルター等を用いて濾過することが好ましい。
 前記塗布液を塗布して電子輸送層を形成するにあたり、溶媒を除去することが好ましい。溶媒を除去する方法としては、活性層の形成方法において説明した溶媒を除去する方法と同様の方法が挙げられる。
 本発明の光電変換素子は、陰極及び陽極の間に活性層が設けられ、陰極及び活性層の間に電子輸送層が設けられていればよく、基板上に陰極、電子輸送層、活性層、陽極の順に設けられていても、基板上に陽極、活性層、電子輸送層、陰極の順に設けられていてもよい。本発明の光電変換素子は、支持基板をさらに含み、支持基板、陽極、活性層、電子輸送層及び陰極がこの順に設けられている光電変換素子であることが好ましい。
(その他の任意の層)
 本発明の光電変換素子は、上述の活性層及び電子輸送層の他に、種々の機能を発揮するその他の任意の層を含んでいてもよい。その他の任意の層としては、例えば、正孔注入層及び正孔輸送層が挙げられる。
(正孔注入層)
 本発明の光電変換素子は、陽極及び活性層の間に設けられており、芳香族アミン化合物及び芳香族アミン残基を有する繰り返し単位を含む高分子化合物からなる群より選ばれる1種以上を含む正孔注入層をさらに含んでいてもよい。
 正孔注入層は陽極と活性層との間に設けられ、陽極への正孔注入を促進する機能を有する。正孔注入層は陽極に接して設けられることが好ましい。正孔注入層の材料としては形成された正孔注入層を水に対して不溶にできる材料が好ましい。
 形成された正孔注入層を水に対して不溶にできる材料は、有機材料、無機材料のいずれであってもよい。また、形成された正孔注入層を水に対して不溶にできる材料は2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
 形成された正孔注入層を水に対して不溶にできる材料の具体例としては、ポリアニリン及びその誘導体、ポリチオフェン及びその誘導体、ポリピロール及びその誘導体、芳香族アミン残基を有する繰り返し単位を含む高分子化合物等の高分子化合物、アニリン、チオフェン、ピロール、芳香族アミン化合物等の低分子化合物、CuSCN、CuI等の無機化合物が挙げられる。形成された正孔注入層を水に対して不溶にできる材料は、ポリチオフェン及びその誘導体、芳香族アミン化合物、芳香族アミン残基を有する繰り返し単位を含む高分子化合物、CuSCN並びにCuIからなる群より選ばれる1種以上であることが好ましい。初期の光電変換効率を良好にする観点からは、形成された正孔注入層を水に対して不溶にできる材料は、芳香族アミン化合物、芳香族アミン残基を有する繰り返し単位を含む高分子化合物からなる群より選ばれる1種以上であることが好ましい。また、形成された正孔注入層を水に対して不溶にできる材料である高分子化合物の中では、光電変換素子の寿命をより長くする観点から、芳香族アミン残基を有する繰り返し単位を含む高分子化合物がより好ましい。
 芳香族アミン化合物の具体例としては、下記式で表される化合物が挙げられる。

 前記芳香族アミン化合物は、少なくとも3個の置換基を有するフェニル基を含むことが好ましい。
 芳香族アミン化合物に含まれるフェニル基が有し得る置換基の例としては、アルキル基、アルコキシ基、アミノ基及びシリル基が挙げられる。
 少なくとも3個の置換基を有するフェニル基を含む芳香族アミン化合物の具体例としては、下記式で表される化合物が挙げられる。

 芳香族アミン残基を有する繰り返し単位を含む高分子化合物において、芳香族アミン残基を有する繰り返し単位とは、芳香族アミン化合物から水素原子を2個取り除いた繰り返し単位である。芳香族アミン残基を有する繰り返し単位の例としては、下記式(4’)で表される繰り返し単位が挙げられる。下記式(4’)で表される繰り返し単位としては、下記式(4)で表される繰り返し単位が好ましい。前記芳香族アミン残基を有する繰り返し単位を含む高分子化合物は、少なくとも3個の置換基を有するフェニル基を含むことが好ましい。

 正孔注入層の厚さは、25nm以下であることが好ましく、20nm以下であることがより好ましく、15nm以下であることがさらに好ましく、10nm以下であることが特に好ましい。
(正孔注入層の形成方法)
 正孔注入層の形成方法は特に限定されない。正孔注入層は例えば前述した正孔注入層の構成材料と溶媒とを含む塗布液を、正孔注入層が形成されるべき層に塗布することにより形成することができる。
 形成工程をより簡便にする観点から、前記正孔注入層は塗布法により形成することが好ましい。塗布法で用いる塗布液は、溶媒と、既に説明した正孔注入層の構成材料とを含む。
 前記溶媒の例としては、水、アルコール、ケトン、炭化水素等が挙げられる。アルコールの具体例としては、メタノール、エタノール、イソプロパノール、ブタノール、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、ブトキシエタノール、メトキシブタノール等が挙げられる。ケトンの具体例としては、アセトン、メチルエチルケトン、メチルイソブチルケトン、2-ヘプタノン、シクロヘキサノン等が挙げられる。炭化水素の具体例としては、n-ペンタン、シクロヘキサン、n-ヘキサン、ベンゼン、トルエン、キシレン、テトラリン、クロロベンゼン、オルトジクロロベンゼン等が挙げられる。溶媒は、2種類以上の成分を含んでいてもよく、上記で例示した溶媒を2種類以上含んでいてもよい。塗布液における前記溶媒の量は、前記正孔注入層の構成材料に対し、1重量倍以上10000重量倍以下であることが好ましく、10重量倍以上1000重量倍以下であることがより好ましい。
 正孔注入層の構成材料と溶媒とを含む塗布液を塗布する方法の具体例及び好ましい例としては、既に説明した活性層の形成方法が挙げられる。
 前記塗布液を塗布して正孔注入層を形成するにあたり、溶媒を除去することが好ましい。溶媒を除去する方法としては、活性層の形成工程において溶媒を除去する方法として既に説明した方法が挙げられる。
(正孔輸送層)
 正孔輸送層は、正孔注入層と活性層との間に設けられ、正孔を輸送し、かつ電子をブロックする機能を有する。正孔輸送層を設けることで、より高効率な光電変換素子とすることができる。正孔輸送層としては、アミン残基を含む低分子化合物、アミン残基を有する繰り返し単位を含む高分子化合物などが挙げられる。正孔注入層に、芳香族アミン残基を有する低分子化合物、芳香族アミン残基を有する繰り返し単位を含む高分子化合物を用いる場合には、特にこのような正孔輸送層を設けなくてもよい。
 正孔輸送層に含まれ得る高分子化合物は、アミン残基を有する繰り返し単位を含む。かかる高分子化合物が含み得る繰り返し単位としては、例えば、下記式で表される繰り返し単位が挙げられる。

(正孔輸送層の形成方法)
 正孔輸送層は、既に説明した正孔注入層、活性層と同様にして形成することができる。
 正孔輸送層の構成材料と溶媒とを含む塗布液を塗布する形成方法の具体例及び好ましい例としては、活性層を形成する方法において既に説明した方法が挙げられる。
 前記塗布液の塗布後に、正孔輸送層を形成するにあたり溶媒を除去することが好ましい。溶媒を除去する方法としては、活性層の形成工程において溶媒を除去する方法として既に説明した方法が挙げられる。
 本発明の光電変換素子は、透明又は半透明の電極側に太陽光等の光を照射することにより、電極間に光起電力が発生し、太陽電池として動作させることができる。本発明の光電変換素子を含む太陽電池は、活性層に有機無機ハイブリッド構造のペロブスカイト化合物を含む有機無機ペロブスカイト太陽電池であることが好ましい。このような太陽電池を複数集積することにより有機薄膜太陽電池モジュールとして用いることもできる。
 また、本発明の光電変換素子は、電極間に電圧を印加した状態で、透明又は半透明の電極側に光を照射することにより、光電流を流すことができ、光センサーとして動作させることができる。このような光センサーを複数集積することによりイメージセンサーとして用いることもできる。
 以下、本発明をさらに詳細に説明するために実施例を示すが、本発明はこれらに限定されない。
(組成物1の調製)
 ヨウ化鉛460mgを1mLのN,N-ジメチルホルムアミドに溶解させ、70℃で攪拌することで完溶させることにより、組成物1を調製した。
(組成物2の調製)
 ヨウ化メチルアンモニウム45mgを1mLの2-プロパノールに完溶させることにより、組成物2を調製した。
(組成物3の調製)
 フラーレンの誘導体として1重量部の[6,6]-フェニルC61-酪酸メチルエステル(C60PCBM)(フロンティアカーボン社製 E100)と、溶媒として100重量部のクロロベンゼンとを混合して完溶させることにより、組成物3を調製した。
(組成物4の調製)
 フラーレンの誘導体として1重量部の[6,6]-フェニルC71-酪酸メチルエステル(C70PCBM)(アメリカンダイソース社製 ADS71BFA)と、溶媒として100重量部のクロロベンゼンとを混合して完溶させることにより、組成物4を調製した。
(組成物5の調製)
 式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体として1重量部の下記式で表される化合物と、溶媒として100重量部のクロロベンゼンとを混合して完溶させることにより、組成物5を調製した。

 陽極として機能するITO薄膜が形成されたガラス基板を用意した。ITO薄膜はスパッタリング法によって形成され、その厚さは150nmであった。前記ITO薄膜を有するガラス基板をオゾンUV処理し、ITO薄膜の表面処理を行った。次に、Plexcore PV2000 Hole Transport Ink(シグマ・アルドリッチ社の有機太陽電池作製キット、PV2000 kitに含まれる。Sulfonated polythiophene(thiophene-3-[2-(2-methoxyethoxy)ethoxy]-2,5-diyl) (S-P3MEET) 1.8% in 2-butoxyethanol:water (2:3))をスピンコーターによりITO膜上に塗布し、大気中170℃で10分間加熱することにより、厚さ50nmの正孔注入層を形成した。正孔注入層を形成した基板を70℃に加熱した後、スピンコーターのチャック上に載せ、基板に形成された正孔注入層上に、70℃に加熱した組成物1を4000rpmの回転数でスピンコーターを用いて塗布し、窒素ガス雰囲気下で風乾させ、ヨウ化鉛層を得た。その後、ヨウ化鉛層上に前記組成物2を滴下し、6000rpmでスピンコートし、大気中100℃で10分間乾燥させることで、有機無機ハイブリッド構造のペロブスカイト化合物を含む活性層を形成した。活性層の厚さは約300nmであった。
 次に、活性層上に組成物5をスピンコーターを用いて塗布し、厚さ約50nmの電子輸送層を形成した。その後、真空蒸着機によりカルシウムを厚さ4nmで蒸着し、次いで、銀を厚さ60nmで蒸着することにより、陰極を形成した。蒸着のときの真空度は、すべての蒸着工程において1×10-3~9×10-3Paとした。その後、窒素ガス雰囲気下において、UV硬化性エポキシ樹脂を用いて封止ガラスを陰極側の面にUV硬化によって接着して封止することによって光電変換素子を作製した。こうして得られた光電変換素子の形状は、2mm×2mmの正方形であった。
 得られた光電変換素子にソーラシミュレーター(分光計器製、商品名OTENTO-SUNII:AM1.5Gフィルター、放射照度100mW/cm)を用いて一定の光を照射し、発生する電流と電圧とを測定して、初期の光電変換効率(初期効率)を測定した。その後、光電変換素子を1Sunの光強度で65℃の一定温度の条件の耐候性試験機中に20時間保持した後、ソーラシミュレーター(分光計器製、商品名OTENTO-SUNII:AM1.5Gフィルター、放射照度100mW/cm)を用いて一定の光を光電変換素子に照射し、発生する電流と電圧を測定して、20時間後の光電変換効率(効率)を測定した。20時間後の効率/初期効率を保持率として算出し、電子輸送層の形成に使用された組成物と併せて表1に示した。
(実施例2~6)光電変換素子の作製、評価
 電子輸送層の作成に使用した組成物5を、組成物6~10に変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にして光電変換素子を作成し、初期効率と20時間後の効率とを測定した。20時間後の効率/初期効率を保持率として算出し、電子輸送層の形成に使用された組成物と併せて表1に示した。
(比較例1~2)光電変換素子の作製、評価
 電子輸送層の作成に使用した組成物5を、組成物3(比較例1)又は4(比較例2)に変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にして光電変換素子を作製し、初期効率と20時間後の効率とを測定した。20時間後の効率/初期効率を保持率として算出し、電子輸送層の作成に使用された組成物と併せて表1に示した。
 得られた光電変換素子にソーラシミュレーター(分光計器製、商品名OTENTO-SUNII:AM1.5Gフィルター、放射照度100mW/cm)を用いて一定の光を照射し、発生する電流と電圧とを測定して、初期の光電変換効率(初期効率)を測定した。その後、光電変換素子を1Sunの光強度で65℃の一定温度の条件の耐候性試験機中に20時間保持した後、ソーラシミュレーター(分光計器製、商品名OTENTO-SUNII:AM1.5Gフィルター、放射照度100mW/cm)を用いて一定の光を光電変換素子に照射し、発生する電流と電圧を測定して、20時間後の光電変換効率を測定した。20時間後の効率/初期効率を保持率として算出し、電子輸送層の形成に使用された組成物と併せて表1に示した。
(組成物11の調製)
 ヨウ化鉛368mgを1mLのN,N-ジメチルホルムアミドに溶解させ、70℃で攪拌することで完溶させることにより、組成物11を調製した。
(組成物12の調製)
 ヨウ化メチルアンモニウム45mgを1mLの2-プロパノールに完溶させることにより、組成物12を調製した。
(組成物13の調製)
 フラーレンの誘導体として2重量部の[6,6]-フェニルC61-酪酸メチルエステル(C60PCBM)(フロンティアカーボン社製 E100)と、溶媒として100重量部のクロロベンゼンとを混合して完溶させることにより、組成物13を調製した。
(組成物14の調製)
 式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体として2重量部の下記式で表される化合物と、溶媒として100重量部のクロロベンゼンとを混合して完溶させることにより、組成物14を調製した。

(組成物15の調製)
 前記式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体として2重量部の下記式で表される化合物と、溶媒として100重量部のクロロベンゼンとを混合して完溶させることにより、組成物15を調製した。

(組成物16の調製)
 式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体として2重量部の下記式で表される化合物と、溶媒として100重量部のクロロベンゼンとを混合して完溶させることにより、組成物16を調製した。

(組成物17の調製)
 下記式で表される繰り返し単位を含む高分子化合物(シグマ・アルドリッチ社製 Poly[bis(4-phenyl)(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)amine]、average Mn 7000-10000)を0.5重量部、溶媒として100重量部のクロロベンゼンを混合して完溶させて、組成物17を調製した。

(実施例7)光電変換素子の作製、評価
 陽極として機能するITO薄膜が形成されたガラス基板を用意した。ITO薄膜はスパッタリング法によって形成され、その厚さは150nmであった。前記ITO薄膜を有するガラス基板をオゾンUV処理し、ITO薄膜の表面処理を行った。次に、組成物17をスピンコーターによりITO膜上に塗布し、大気中120℃で10分間加熱することにより、厚さ10nmの正孔注入層を形成した。正孔注入層を形成した基板を70℃に加熱した後、スピンコーターのチャック上に載せ、基板に形成された正孔注入層上に、70℃に加熱した組成物11を2000rpmの回転数でスピンコーターを用いて塗布し、窒素ガス雰囲気下で風乾させ、ヨウ化鉛層を得た。その後、ヨウ化鉛層上に前記組成物12を滴下し、6000rpmでスピンコートし、大気中100℃で10分間乾燥させることで、有機無機ハイブリッド構造のペロブスカイト化合物を含む活性層を形成した。活性層の厚さは約350nmであった。
 次に、活性層上に組成物14をスピンコーターを用いて塗布し、厚さ約50nmの電子輸送層を形成した。その後、真空蒸着機によりカルシウムを厚さ4nmで蒸着し、次いで、銀を厚さ60nmで蒸着することにより、陰極を形成した。蒸着のときの真空度は、すべての蒸着工程において1×10-3~9×10-3Paとした。その後、窒素ガス雰囲気下において、UV硬化性エポキシ樹脂を用いて封止ガラスを陰極側の面にUV硬化によって接着して封止することによって光電変換素子を作製した。こうして得られた光電変換素子の形状は、2mm×2mmの正方形であった。
 得られた光電変換素子にソーラシミュレーター(分光計器製、商品名OTENTO-SUNII:AM1.5Gフィルター、放射照度100mW/cm)を用いて一定の光を照射し、発生する電流と電圧とを測定して、初期の光電変換効率(初期効率)を測定した。その後、光電変換素子を1Sunの光強度で65℃の一定温度の条件の耐候性試験機中に24時間保持した後、ソーラシミュレーター(分光計器製、商品名OTENTO-SUNII:AM1.5Gフィルター、放射照度100mW/cm)を用いて一定の光を光電変換素子に照射し、発生する電流と電圧を測定して、24時間後の光電変換効率を測定した。24時間後の効率/初期効率を保持率として算出し、電子輸送層の形成に使用された組成物と併せて表1に示した。
(実施例8、9)光電変換素子の作製、評価
 電子輸送層の作成に使用した組成物14を、組成物15(実施例8)、16(実施例9)に変更した以外は、実施例7と同様にして光電変換素子を作製し、初期効率と24時間後の光電変換効率とを測定した。24時間後の効率/初期効率を保持率として算出し、電子輸送層の形成に使用された組成物と併せて表2に示した。
(比較例3)光電変換素子の作製、評価
 電子輸送層の作成に使用した組成物14を、組成物13に変更した以外は、実施例7と同様にして光電変換素子を作製し、初期効率と24時間後の効率とを測定した。24時間後の効率/初期効率を保持率として算出し、電子輸送層の作成に使用された組成物と併せて表2に示した。

 表1から明らかなように、有機無機ハイブリッド構造のペロブスカイト化合物を含む活性層と式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体を含む電子輸送層とが組み合わされた実施例1~6の光電変換素子は、比較例1及び2と比較して、効率の保持率が顕著に高く、光照射に対する高い耐久性を有していた。また、電子輸送層が、式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体に加えて、式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体以外のフラーレン誘導体を含む組成物10が用いられた実施例6は、より保持率が高かった。
 表2から明らかなように、有機無機ハイブリッド構造のペロブスカイト化合物を含む活性層と式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体を含む電子輸送層とが組み合わされた実施例7~9の光電変換素子は、比較例3と比較して、保持率が顕著に高く、光照射に対する高い耐久性を有していた。さらに実施例7~9の光電変換素子は、高い初期効率を有していた。
 本発明によれば、光電変換素子の光照射に対する耐久性をより高めることができる。

Claims (6)

  1.  陰極と、
     陽極と、
     前記陰極及び前記陽極の間に設けられており、ペロブスカイト化合物を含む活性層と、
     前記陰極及び前記活性層の間に設けられており、下記式(1)で表されるフラーレン誘導体を含む電子輸送層と
    を含む光電変換素子。

    〔式(1)中、A環はフラーレン骨格を表す。R、R、R及びRは、それぞれ独立に、水素原子、ハロゲン原子、ハロゲン原子で置換されていてもよいアルキル基、置換基を有していてもよいアリール基、置換基を有していてもよいアリールアルキル基、置換基を有していてもよい1価の複素環基又は下記式(2)で表される基を表す。nは、1以上の整数を表す。〕

    〔式(2)中、mは1~6の整数を表す。qは1~4の整数を表す。Xは、水素原子、アルキル基、又は置換基を有していてもよいアリール基を表す。mが複数ある場合、複数あるmは同一であっても異なっていてもよい。〕
  2.  前記Rが、前記式(2)で表される基である、請求項1に記載の光電変換素子。
  3.  支持基板をさらに含み、該支持基板、前記陽極、前記活性層、前記電子輸送層及び前記陰極がこの順に設けられている、請求項1又は2に記載の光電変換素子。
  4.  前記陽極及び前記活性層の間に設けられており、芳香族アミン化合物及び芳香族アミン残基を有する繰り返し単位を含む高分子化合物からなる群より選ばれる1種以上を含む正孔注入層をさらに含む、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の光電変換素子。
  5.  請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の光電変換素子を含む、太陽電池モジュール。
  6.  請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の光電変換素子を含む、有機光センサー。
