以下、サーマルヘッドX1について図1~6を参照して説明する。図1では、保護層25、被覆層27、および被覆部材12を省略して一点鎖線にて示している。
図8を用いてサーマルヘッドX2について説明する。サーマルヘッドX2は、ハウジング110の形状、および被覆部材112の形状がサーマルヘッドX1と異なっており、その他の構成はサーマルヘッドX1と同様である。なお、同一の部材については同一の番号を付し、以下同様とする。
図9を用いてサーマルヘッドX3について説明する。サーマルヘッドX3は、ハウジング210の形状、および被覆部材212の形状がサーマルヘッドX2と異なっており、その他の構成はサーマルヘッドX2と同様である。
図10を用いてサーマルヘッドX4について説明する。サーマルヘッドX4は、ハウジング310の形状、および被覆部材312の形状がサーマルヘッドX2と異なっており、その他の構成はサーマルヘッドX2と同様である。

複数の前記電極に電気的に接続された接続部を有する複数のコネクタピン、および複数の前記コネクタピンを収容するハウジングを備えており、前記基板に隣り合うように配置されたコネクタと、
前記基板上で前記接続部を被覆する被覆部材と、を備え、
前記ハウジングは、前記基板と反対側に開口を有しており、
前記被覆部材は、前記基板上に位置する第1部位と、前記ハウジング上に位置する第2部位と、を有しており、
平面視して、前記第2部位は、前記開口側に突出した第1突出部を備えることを特徴とするサーマルヘッド。 - 前記第1突出部が、主走査方向における前記ハウジングの両端部に配置されている、請求項1に記載のサーマルヘッド。
- 前記ハウジングは、上壁と、下壁と、前記上壁と前記下壁とを接続する一対の側壁と、前記基板側に設けられた前壁とを有し、前記上壁、前記下壁、一対の前記側壁、および前記前壁により前記開口が形成されており、
前記ハウジングは、主走査方向における前記上壁の両端部に設けられ、前記上壁から突出し副走査方向に延びる突起部を備え、

- 前記切欠部に対応する前記上壁に、主走査方向に延びる第3溝が設けられており、前記第3溝に前記第1突出部が配置されている、請求項7に記載のサーマルヘッド。
- 前記切欠部に隣り合う前記突起部に、主走査方向に延びる第4溝が設けられており、前記第4溝に前記第1突出部が配置されている、請求項7または8に記載のサーマルヘッド。
- 前記第1突出部が、前記突起部上にも設けられている、請求項3~9のいずれか一項に記載のサーマルヘッド。
- 前記第1部位は、平面視して、前記突起部を副走査方向に延ばした領域に向けて突出した第2突出部を有する請求項3~10のいずれか一項に記載のサーマルヘッド。
- 平面視して、前記第1部位は、前記コネクタピン側に窪んだ窪み部を有する、請求項3~11のいずれか一項に記載のサーマルヘッド。
- 請求項1~12のうちいずれか一項に記載のサーマルヘッドと、
前記発熱部上に記録媒体を搬送する搬送機構と、
前記発熱部上に前記記録媒体を押圧するプラテンローラと、を備えることを特徴とするサーマルプリンタ。
