Definitions
- the present invention relates to a stretchable film. This application claims priority on July 22, 2014 based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2014-149249 for which it applied to Japan, and uses the content here.
- stretch films formed from stretchable elastomers and composites obtained by laminating stretch films with nonwoven fabrics are widely used.
- stretchable film for example, a stretchable film formed using a styrene-based elastomer is known (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
- Stretch films are often produced by a cast film process method.
- elastomers have inherently strong tack. Therefore, when an elastomer is molded by the cast film process method, there is a problem that adhesion between films, that is, so-called blocking occurs when the film is wound into a roll after film formation. When blocking occurs, the stretchable film wound up in a roll cannot be unwound, and the stretchable film cannot be used or post-processed.
- an inorganic substance inorganic blocking inhibitor
- the occurrence of blocking is not sufficiently suppressed when the temperature of the roll film is changed during transportation through a high temperature region such as the equator, or when high temperature storage such as warehouse storage in summer is performed.
- production of blocking is suppressed.
- the quality may be lowered, for example, the film physical properties are lowered (in particular, the permanent set is increased).
- An object of the present invention is to provide a stretchable film capable of suppressing the occurrence of blocking even when high-temperature transportation or high-temperature storage is carried out while suppressing deterioration in film properties (particularly increase in permanent strain).
- the stretchable film of the present invention includes a stretchable film layer, a first skin layer provided on the first surface side of the stretchable film layer, and a second skin layer provided on the second surface side of the stretchable film layer.
- the stretchable film layer contains an elastomer
- the first skin layer and the second skin layer contain a non-adhesive resin at 60 ° C., and each has a thickness of 0. It is characterized by being 1 ⁇ m to 4 ⁇ m.
- the elastomer contained in the stretch film layer is preferably an olefin elastomer.
- the elastomer contained in the stretchable film layer is preferably a styrene elastomer.
- the thickness of the entire film is preferably 8 ⁇ m to 150 ⁇ m.
- the resins contained in the first skin layer and the second skin layer are preferably compatible with the elastomer.
- the first skin layer and the second skin layer are preferably layers containing either one or both of polyethylene and polypropylene.
- the occurrence of blocking is sufficiently suppressed even when high-temperature transportation or high-temperature storage is carried out, while the deterioration of film properties (particularly increase in permanent strain) is suppressed.
- the stretchable film of the present invention will be described using the stretchable film 1 illustrated in FIG. 1 as an example.
- the stretchable film 1 of the present embodiment includes a stretchable film layer 10, a first skin layer 12 provided on the first surface 10a side of the stretchable film layer 10, and a side opposite to the first surface 10a of the stretchable film layer 10. And a second skin layer 14 provided on the second surface 10b side.
- the stretchable film layer 10 is a layer containing an elastomer.
- the stretchable film layer 10 is not necessarily a single layer, and may be composed of a plurality of layers. Further, the stretchable film layer 10 may be added / used with a pulverized / recycled raw material of the trimming portion generated in the process.
- the stretchable film 1 has stretchability by having the stretchable film layer 10.
- An elastomer refers to a polymer having rubber elasticity above the glass transition temperature. Therefore, elastomers generally have a glass transition temperature below room temperature (23 ° C.).
- the elastomer used for the stretchable film layer is also referred to as an elastomer (A).
- Specific examples of the elastomer (A) include styrene elastomers, olefin elastomers, urethane elastomers, and polyester elastomers. Of these, olefin-based elastomers are preferred from the viewpoint of compatibility with polyethylene / polypropylene used in the skin layer. Moreover, a styrene-type elastomer is preferable from the point that the dimensional stability at the time of film conveyance is high. Elastomer (A) may be used individually by 1 type, and may use 2 or more types together.
- olefin elastomer examples include a copolymer or a homopolymer mainly composed of an olefin having 3 or more carbon atoms, and a copolymer with an olefin having 3 or more carbon atoms mainly composed of ethylene.
- ⁇ -olefin homopolymers such as propylene homopolymer and 1-butene homopolymer with low stereoregularity; propylene-ethylene copolymer, propylene-ethylene-1-butene copolymer, 1-butene-ethylene copolymer, 1-butene-propylene copolymer, 4-methylpentene-1-propylene copolymer, 4-methylpentene-1-butene copolymer, 4-methylpentene-1 - ⁇ -olefin copolymers such as propylene-1-butene copolymer, propylene-1-butene copolymer, ethylene-propylene copolymer, ethylene-hexene copolymer, ethylene-octene copolymer; Propylene-ethylidene norbornene copolymer, ethylene-propylene-butadiene copolymer, ethylene-propylene-isoprene copolymer,
- ethylene- ⁇ -olefin-diene terpolymer ethylene- ⁇ -olefin-diene terpolymer.
- an elastomer in which the above-described elastomer is dispersed in a crystalline polyolefin matrix may be used.
- One olefin elastomer may be used alone, or two or more olefin elastomers may be used in combination.
- Olefin-based elastomers are propylene-based elastomers (propylene-ethylene copolymers, etc.) that are copolymers or homopolymers mainly composed of propylene from the viewpoint of compatibility with polyethylene / polypropylene used in the skin layer.
- ethylene-based elastomers such as ethylene-octene copolymers
- propylene-based elastomers are more preferred.
- the glass transition temperature of the propylene-based elastomer is preferably ⁇ 10 ° C. or lower, and more preferably ⁇ 25 ° C. or lower. If the glass transition temperature of the propylene-based elastomer is not more than the upper limit value, excellent stretchability is easily obtained.
- the propylene unit content relative to the total units of the propylene-based elastomer is preferably 70% by mass to 95% by mass, and more preferably 80% by mass to 90% by mass.
- the propylene unit content is at least the lower limit value, excellent moldability is easily obtained. If the said propylene unit content rate is below an upper limit, the outstanding elasticity will be easy to be obtained.
- a commercially available product can be used as the olefin-based elastomer.
- examples of commercially available olefin-based elastomers include a trade name “Vistamaxx 6102” (propylene-ethylene copolymer, glass transition temperature: ⁇ 32 ° C., ethylene unit content: 16% by mass, manufactured by ExxonMobil), and a trade name “Vistamaxx3020”.
- Infuse 9107 "(ethylene-octene copolymer, glass transition temperature: -62 ° C) , Dow Chemical Co., Ltd.), trade name “Infuse 9507” (ethylene-octene copolymer, glass transition temperature: ⁇ 62 ° C., Dow Chemical Co.), and the like.
- Styrene elastomers include styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer, styrene-isoprene block copolymer, styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer, styrene-butadiene block copolymer, styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer Examples thereof include a hydrogenated product (styrene-ethylene-propylene-styrene block copolymer), a hydrogenated product of styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer (styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene block copolymer), and the like.
- a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer is preferable because of higher strength and resilience.
- the styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer preferably has a styrene unit content of 14 mass% to 48 mass%. If the content of styrene units in the styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer is not less than the lower limit, moldability is improved, and if it is not more than the upper limit, sufficiently high elasticity can be obtained.
- the elastomer (A) is preferably one selected from the group consisting of propylene-based elastomers and ethylene-based elastomers from the viewpoint of compatibility with polyethylene / polypropylene used in the skin layer. However, a mixture of two or more elastomers may be used. Moreover, as an elastomer (A), a styrene-type elastomer is preferable from the point that the dimensional stability at the time of film conveyance is high. However, two or more styrene elastomers may be mixed and used.
- the stretchable film layer 10 may contain components other than the above-described elastomer (A) as long as the stretchability of the stretchable film 1 is not impaired.
- examples of other components include inorganic blocking agents.
- the inorganic blocking agent will be described in detail in the description of the skin layer.
- the inorganic blocking agent may be added as a master batch.
- other resins other than the elastomer (A) such as an olefin resin (polyethylene, polystyrene, etc.) may be contained. Another resin may be used individually by 1 type, and may use 2 or more types together.
- amide-based antiblocking agents stearic acid amide, etc.
- antioxidants weathering stabilizers, antistatic agents, antifogging agents, metal soaps, waxes, antifungal agents, antibacterial agents, nucleating agents, flame retardants, lubricants
- antistatic agents antifogging agents
- metal soaps waxes
- antifungal agents antibacterial agents
- nucleating agents nucleating agents
- flame retardants lubricants
- lubricants amide-based antiblocking agents
- additives may be contained. These additives may be used individually by 1 type, and may use 2 or more types together.
- examples of the amide-based antiblocking agent include trade name “AP-1” (manufactured by Nippon Kasei Co., Ltd.).
- the above additives can also be added in the form of a master batch in the same manner as the method for adding the inorganic antiblocking agent.
- amide-based antiblocking agents examples include the product name “Rike Master EXR-040” (stearic acid amide-containing master batch (stearic acid amide content: 15 mass%), base resin: polyethylene, RIKEN vitamins Etc.).
- each component in the stretchable film layer 70 mass% or more is preferable and, as for content of the elastomer (A) in the elastic film layer 10 (100 mass%), 80 mass% or more is more preferable. If the content of the elastomer (A) is at least the lower limit value, excellent stretchability is easily obtained. The upper limit of the content of the elastomer (A) is 100% by mass.
- the proportion of the other resin in the stretchable film layer 10 is preferably 0% by mass to 20% by mass with respect to the total amount of the resin components. If the proportion of the other resin is 20% by mass or less, excellent stretchability is easily obtained.
- the thickness of the stretchable film layer 10 is preferably 5 ⁇ m to 148.6 ⁇ m, more preferably 15 ⁇ m to 98.6 ⁇ m, and even more preferably 28.6 ⁇ m to 68.6 ⁇ m. If the thickness of the stretchable film layer 10 is equal to or greater than the lower limit value, the stretchable force of the entire stretchable film 1 can be sufficiently obtained, and thus the shrinkage force when the stretchable film 1 is applied to a product can be sufficiently obtained. If the thickness of the stretchable film layer 10 is equal to or less than the upper limit value, it is possible to suppress that the stretchable force of the entire stretchable film 1 becomes excessive and the shrinkage force when applied to a product becomes too strong.
- the stretchable film layer 10 is a single layer in this example, but may be a multilayer of two or more layers.
- the composition and thickness of each layer may be the same or different.
- the thickness of the stretchable film layer 10 means the total thickness of the multilayer.
- Each of the first skin layer 12 and the second skin layer 14 is a layer containing a resin having no adhesiveness at 60 ° C. (hereinafter referred to as resin (B)). Since the stretchable film 1 has the first skin layer 12 and the second skin layer 14 to reduce the adhesiveness of the film surface, the occurrence of blocking is suppressed even if the film is wound into a roll after film formation, and the vacuum is reduced. The peelability (surface slipperiness) from the vacuum roll when the film is conveyed using the roll is maintained. Moreover, when the elastomer (A) which forms the stretchable film layer 10 is an olefin elastomer, the resin (B) preferably has compatibility with the elastomer (A).
- the resin having no adhesiveness at 60 ° C. means that the “extrapolated onset temperature” at the DSC melting peak of the resin is 60 ° C. or more (see Japanese Industrial Standard JIS K0129).
- the “extrapolated start temperature” is a straight line obtained by extending the low temperature side baseline of the DSC curve to the high temperature side, and a tangent line drawn at the point where the gradient is maximum on the low temperature side of the peak. This is the temperature at the point of intersection.
- the resin is compatible with the elastomer (A) means that the molecular chain structure of the resin has a structure similar to that of the elastomer (A) used in the stretchable film layer 10 (for example, Ethylene skeleton, propylene skeleton, etc.).
- Resin (B) examples of the resin (B) include olefin resins such as polyethylene and polypropylene. Resin (B) may be used individually by 1 type, and may use 2 or more types together. As the resin (B), when the elastomer (A) used for the stretchable film layer 10 is an olefin-based elastomer, one or both of polyethylene and polypropylene are preferable from the viewpoint of compatibility.
- the first skin layer 12 and the second skin layer 14 preferably contain an inorganic antiblocking agent from the viewpoint that slipperiness is imparted to the film surface and excellent blocking resistance is easily obtained. It does not specifically limit as an inorganic type antiblocking agent contained in the 1st skin layer 12 and the 2nd skin layer 14, The inorganic compound normally used as an antiblocking agent can be used. Specific examples of the inorganic blocking inhibitor include calcium carbonate, zeolite, silica, glass and the like.
- the inorganic antiblocking agent is preferably particulate.
- the particle size of the inorganic blocking inhibitor is preferably 2 ⁇ m to 10 ⁇ m. If the particle size of the inorganic anti-blocking agent is not less than the lower limit value, the slipperiness is improved. If the particle size of the inorganic anti-blocking agent is not more than the upper limit value, the touch is improved.

Abstract
