- 車両に支持されるハウジング(13)内に支持部材(19)が収容、固定され、前記ハウジング(13)の開口部に配置されるミラー(16)が合成樹脂製のミラーホルダ(17)に保持され、球面部(20a)を先端部に有するジョイント(20)が前記支持部材(19)に突設され、前記球面部(20a)を嵌合させる中空半球状の嵌合支持部(21)が前記ミラーホルダ(17)に設けられ、前記嵌合支持部(21)内への前記球面部(20a)の嵌合状態を保持するためのリング状のスプリング(22)が前記嵌合支持部(21)の外周に嵌装される車両用ミラー装置において、前記スプリング(22)に係合して該スプリング(22)が前記嵌合支持部(21)から離脱するのを阻止する係合部(33)が、前記スプリング(22)を前記嵌合支持部(21)に装着するのを許容するように撓むことを可能としつつ、前記嵌合支持部(21)の周囲の複数箇所で前記ミラーホルダ(17)に一体に形成されることを特徴とする車両用ミラー装置。
- 前記嵌合支持部(21)は、縦断面円弧状の内面を有する複数の側壁部(34)が、相互間にスリット(35)を形成しつつ前記ミラーホルダ(17)から突出するようにして環状に配列されて成ることを特徴とする請求項1記載の車両用ミラー装置。
- 前記側壁部(34)が、前記球面部(20a)の非嵌合状態での自然な状態では、先端側に向かうにつれて内方位置となるように傾斜して形成されることを特徴とする請求項2記載の車両用ミラー装置。
