Abstract
Description
製本物の縁部を断裁するための断裁機であって、
製本物を載せるためのテーブルと、
製本物の端部を断裁するための断裁刃と、
断裁刃を断裁位置と非断裁位置との間で往復運動させるための断裁刃駆動機構と、
断裁刃が延設する延設方向に対して直角する移動方向に、断裁刃またはテーブルを移動させるための移動機構と、
断裁刃駆動機構および移動機構の動作を制御する制御部と、を備え、
テーブルに載せられた製本物の端部に、移動方向に所定の微小間隔を置いて互いに平行に延設する第1および第2断裁位置が設定され、
第1断裁位置は、第2断裁位置より製本物の外側に配置され、
制御部は、断裁刃によって第1断裁位置で製本物の端部を断裁した後、断裁刃またはテーブルを微小間隔だけ移動方向に移動して、断裁刃によって第2断裁位置で製本物の端部を断裁するように、断裁刃駆動機構および移動機構の動作を制御する。
制御部は、少なくとも天断裁位置および地断裁位置において、第1断裁位置および第2断裁位置で製本物の天辺端部および地辺縁部を断裁するように、断裁刃駆動機構および移動機構の動作を制御する。
移動機構は、フレームに螺合され、移動方向に延設された送りネジと、送りネジを回転するためのモータと、を備え、
制御部は、モータの回転を制御して、フレームに支持された断裁刃を第1および第2位置に移動する。
制御部は、タッチスクリーンから入力された微小間隔の値に基づいて、移動機構の動作を制御する。
図1および図2に基づいて、断裁機の構成について説明する。
断裁機は、製本物1を順次送出する製本物供給ユニット2と、製本物供給ユニット2から製本物1を所定の位置で受け取って位置決めし、それを保持して所定の角度ずつ回転させ、天断裁位置、小口断裁位置および地断裁位置の3つの位置に配置する回転テーブルユニット3と、回転テーブルユニット3に対して近づきまたは遠ざかる方向に移動可能に配置される断裁ユニット4と、を備える。断裁ユニット4は、回転テーブルユニット3に近接し、製本物1の天辺縁部1a、地辺縁部1bおよび小口辺縁部1cをそれぞれ断裁するための第1および第2断裁位置と、回転テーブルユニット3から離れた待機位置との間で移動するように構成されている。
図3~図5に基づいて、製本物1の天辺縁部1aを断裁する工程について詳細に説明する。
図3および図4の通り、断裁機は、製本物1の天辺縁部1aを断裁するとき、製本物1の天辺端部1aに、第1断裁位置100および第2断裁位置101が設定される。第1断裁位置100は、第2断裁位置101より製本物1の外側に配置される。第1および第2断裁位置100,101は、所定の微小間隔Xを置いて、互いに平行に配置されている。微小間隔Xは、1~5mm、好ましくは2~3mmで設定される。そして、断裁機は、断裁刃20を使って、第1および第2断裁位置100,101で製本物1の天辺端部1aを断裁する。
本実施形態では、製本物1の小口縁部1cは1回だけ断裁されるが、上記と同様の工程を経て、製本物1の小口縁部1cも第1および第2断裁位置100,101で2回断裁するように構成してもよい。
図6は、本発明の第2実施形態による断裁機の要部の構成を概略的に示す斜視図である。上記の第1実施形態では、断裁ユニット4(断裁刃20)を移動方向56aに移動することで、断裁刃20を製本物1の第1および第2断裁位置100,101の真上に配置しているのに対し、この第2実施形態では、製本物1が載置されたテーブル10を移動方向56aに移動することで、断裁刃20を製本物1の第1および第2断裁位置100,101の真上に配置する。したがって、図5において、図1と同じ構成要素には同一番号を付し、詳細な説明を省略する。
上記第1および第2実施形態の断裁機は、テーブル10が回転することで、製本物1を天断裁位置、地断裁位置および小口断裁位置に配置する三方断裁機である。図示しない第3実施形態の断裁機では、作業者自身が製本物1を回転して、製本物1を天断裁位置、地断裁位置および小口断裁位置に配置するものである。テーブルに載せられた製本物1が位置決めされた後、断裁工程を開始すると、断裁刃20が第1断裁位置100に配置されて製本物1を断裁した後、断裁刃20を備えた断裁ユニット4が微小間隔Xだけ移動方向56aに移動して、断裁刃20が第2断裁位置101に配置されて製本物1を断裁する。このように、断裁刃20が微小間隔Xだけ自動的に移動して2回断裁することで、製本物1の天辺縁部1a、地辺縁部1b,小口辺縁部1cを第1および第2断裁位置100,101で断裁できる。

Claims (6)
- 製本物の縁部を断裁するための断裁機であって、
前記製本物を載せるためのテーブルと、
前記製本物の端部を断裁するための断裁刃と、
前記断裁刃を断裁位置と非断裁位置との間で往復運動させるための断裁刃駆動機構と、
前記断裁刃が延設する延設方向に対して直角する移動方向に、前記断裁刃または前記テーブルを移動させるための移動機構と、
前記断裁刃駆動機構および前記移動機構の動作を制御する制御部と、を備え、
前記テーブルに載せられた前記製本物の端部に、前記移動方向に所定の微小間隔を置いて互いに平行に延設する第1および第2断裁位置が設定され、
前記第1断裁位置は、前記第2断裁位置より前記製本物の外側に配置され、
前記制御部は、前記断裁刃によって前記第1断裁位置で前記製本物の端部を断裁した後、前記断裁刃または前記テーブルを前記微小間隔だけ前記移動方向に移動して、前記断裁刃によって前記第2断裁位置で前記製本物の端部を断裁するように、前記断裁刃駆動機構および前記移動機構の動作を制御することを特徴とする断裁機。 - 前記断裁機は、前記テーブルを回転させて、前記製本物を天断裁位置、地断裁位置および小口断裁位置の3つの位置に配置し、前記天断裁位置で前記製本物の天辺縁部を断裁し、前記地断裁位置で前記製本物の地辺縁部を断裁し、前記小口断裁位置で前記製本物の小口辺縁部を断裁する三方断裁機であって、
前記制御部は、少なくとも前記天断裁位置および前記地断裁位置において、前記第1断裁位置および前記第2断裁位置で前記製本物の天辺端部および地辺縁部を断裁するように、前記断裁刃駆動機構および前記移動機構の動作を制御することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の断裁機。 - 前記移動機構は、前記テーブルを移動せずに前記断裁刃を前記移動方向に移動することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の断裁機。
- 前記断裁刃を往復運動可能に支持するフレームを備えており、
前記移動機構は、前記フレームに螺合され、前記移動方向に延設された送りネジと、前記送りネジを回転するためのモータと、を備え、
前記制御部は、前記モータの回転を制御して、前記フレームに支持された前記断裁刃を前記第1および第2位置に移動することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の断裁刃。 - 前記微小間隔は、2~3mmであることを特徴とする請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の断裁機。
- 前記微小間隔の値の入力を受けるタッチスクリーンを備えており、
前記制御部は、前記タッチスクリーンから入力された前記微小間隔の値に基づいて、前記移動機構の動作を制御することを特徴とする請求項1~5のいずれかに記載の断裁機。
