また、本発明の重合物は、その屈折率が、画像表示部の構成パネルや保護部の構成パネルの屈折率に近く、保護部と重合物との界面や重合物と画像表示部との界面での光の反射が抑制される。
また、本発明の重合物は、その誘電率が低く、指の保護部への接触による静電容量変化を小さくでき、画像表示部の誤作動が抑制される。
以上の結果、本発明の画像表示装置によれば、表示不良のない高輝度および高コントラスト表示が可能になる。
さらに、本発明の画像表示装置によれば、画像表示部と保護部との間に重合物が介在するので、衝撃に強くなる。
さらに、本発明の重合物は、耐熱着色性が良好なので、高輝度および高コントラスト表示を長時間持続させることが可能である。
加えて、本発明によれば、タッチセンサーと保護部を一体化した、薄型かつリワーク時コストの低い画像表示装置を提供することができる。
なお、本明細書における「(メタ)アクリロイル基」とは、アクリロイル基および/またはメタクリロイル基を意味する。
なお、本明細書に記載の「水添ポリオレフィンポリオールから誘導された構造単位」とは、ポリオレフィンを水素還元した構造を有しかつ1分子中に2つ以上のアルコール性水酸基を有する化合物から少なくとも1つのアルコール性水酸基のHを除いた構造を意味する。
本発明(I)は、像表示装置の画像表示部と透光性の保護部との間に介在させる透明光学樹脂層を形成するための重合性組成物であって、該重合性組成物が、下記成分(1)、(2)および(3)を必須成分として含むことを特徴とする重合性組成物である。
成分(1) 水添ポリオレフィンポリオールと、イソシアナト基および(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物とを反応させて得られるウレタン(メタ)アクリレート
成分(2) 炭素数6以上の炭化水素基を有する(メタ)アクリロイル基含有化合物
成分(3) 光重合開始剤
本発明(I)の重合性組成物の必須原料成分である成分(1)は、水添ポリオレフィンポリオールと、イソシアナト基および(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物とを反応させて得られるウレタン(メタ)アクリレートである。
本発明(I)の重合性組成物の必須原料成分である成分(1)は、1分子中に、水添ポリオレフィンポリオールから誘導された構造単位と、ウレタン結合を1つまたは2つと、ウレタン結合と同数の(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物であれば、特に制限はない。
本発明(I)の重合性組成物の必須原料成分である成分(1)の原料になり得る水添ポリオレフィンポリオールとしては、例えば、水添ポリブタジエンポリオール、水添ポリイソプレンポリオール等を挙げることができる。
水添ポリブタジエンポリオールとは、ポリブタジエンポリオールを水素還元して得られる化合物である。一般に1,2-ポリブタジエンポリオールを水素還元したものが、結晶性がないので好ましい。水添ポリブタジエンジオールとしては、例えば、日本曹達株式会社製のGI-1000、GI-2000およびGI-3000等を挙げることができる。
水添ポリイソプレンポリオールとは、ポリイソプレンポリオールを水素還元して得られる化合物である。水添ポリイソプレンポリオールとしては、例えば、出光興産株式会社製のエポール等を挙げることができる。
本発明(I)の重合性組成物の必須原料成分である成分(1)の原料になり得るイソシアナト基および(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物としては、例えば、2-イソシアナトエチルアクリレート、2-イソシアナトエチルメタクリレート等を挙げることができる。
2-イソシアナトエチルアクリレートとしては、例えば、昭和電工株式会社製のカレンズAOI(登録商標)等を挙げることができる。
2-イソシアナトエチルメタクリレートとしては、例えば、昭和電工株式会社製のカエレンズMOI(登録商標)等を挙げることができる。
なお、水添ポリオレフィンポリオールの水酸基の全てをイソシアナト基および(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物と反応させても、水添ポリオレフィンポリオールの水酸基の一部のみを、イソシアナト基および(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物と反応させて、一部の水酸基を残してもいっこうにかまわない。
水添ポリオレフィンポリオールの水酸基の全てをイソシアナト基および(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物と反応させる場合には、水添ポリオレフィンポリオールの水酸基の総数と、使用したイソシアナト基および(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物のイソシアナト基の総数の比が1以上である必要がある。
水添ポリオレフィンポリオールの水酸基の一部のみを、イソシアナト基および(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物と反応させて、一部の水酸基を残す場合には、水添ポリオレフィンポリオールの水酸基の総数より、使用したイソシアナト基および(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物のイソシアナト基の総数を少なく仕込む必要がある。
なお、この時イソシアナト基および(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物と反応せずにそのまま残る水添ポリオレフィンポリオールが存在しうるが、この水添ポリオレフィンポリオールは、成分(6)の水添ポリオレフィンポリオールに含まれる。
製造方法には特に制約はないが、一般に、水添ポリオレフィンポリオール、重合禁止剤および必要に応じてウレタン化触媒や酸化防止剤を添加し、反応器内に投入し、撹拌を開始し、反応器内の温度を40℃~120℃、好ましくは50℃~100℃に昇温する。その後、イソシアナト基および(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物を滴下投入する。滴下の間、反応器内の温度を40℃~130℃、好ましくは50℃~110℃に制御する。滴下終了後、撹拌を継続しながら、反応器内の温度を40℃~120℃、好ましくは50℃~100℃に維持し、反応を完結させる。
本発明(I)の必須成分である成分(2)は、炭素数6以上の炭化水素基を有する(メタ)アクリロイル基含有化合物である。
炭素数6以上の炭化水素基を有する(メタ)アクリロイル基含有化合物としては、例えば、ベンジルアクリレート等の芳香族基を有する(メタ)アクリロイル基含有化合物、シクロヘキシルアクリレート、イソボルニルアクリレート、ジシクロペンテニルアクリレート、ジシクロペンテニルオキシエチルアクリレート、ジシクロペンタニルアクリレート、ジシクロペンタニルエチルアクリレート、4-tert-ブチルシクロヘキシルアクリレート、シクロヘキシルメタクリレート、イソボルニルメタクリレート、ジシクロペンテニルメタクリレート、ジシクロペンテニルオキシエチルメタクリレート、ジシクロペンタニルメタクリレート、ジシクロペンタニルエチルメタクリレート、4-tert-ブチルシクロヘキシルメタクリレート等の環状脂肪族基を有する(メタ)アクリロイル基含有化合物、メトキシトリエチレンアクリレート、エチルカルビトールアクリレート、ラウリルアクリレート、イソノニルアクリレート、2-プロピルヘプチルアクリレート、4-メチル-2-プロピルヘキシルアクリレート、ラウリルメタクリレート、イソノニルメタクリレート、2-プロピルヘプチルメタクリレート、4-メチル-2-プロピルヘキシルメタクリレート等の鎖状脂肪族基を有する(メタ)アクリロイル基含有化合物等を挙げることができる。
これらの中で、耐熱着色性能を考慮すると、好ましいものとしては、シクロヘキシルアクリレート、イソボルニルアクリレート、ジシクロペンタニルアクリレート、ジシクロペンタニルオキシエチルアクリレート、シクロヘキシルメタクリレート、イソボルニルメタクリレート、ジシクロペンタニルメタクリレート、ジシクロペンタニルエチルメタクリレート、メトキシトリエチレンアクリレート、エチルカルビトールアクリレート、ラウリルアクリレート、イソノニルアクリレート、2-プロピルヘプチルアクリレート、4-メチル-2-プロピルヘキシルアクリレート、ラウリルメタクリレート、イソノニルメタクリレート、2-プロピルヘプチルメタクリレート、4-メチル-2-プロピルヘキシルメタクリレートであり、後述の成分(4)の希釈効率を考慮すると、さらに好ましくは、ラウリルアクリレート、イソノニルアクリレート、2-プロピルヘプチルアクリレート、4-メチル-2-プロピルヘキシルアクリレート、イソノニルメタクリレート、2-プロピルヘプチルメタクリレート、4-メチル-2-プロピルヘキシルメタクリレートであり、光重合速度を考慮すると、特に好ましくは、ラウリルアクリレート、イソノニルアクリレート、2-プロピルヘプチルアクリレート、4-メチル-2-プロピルヘキシルアクリレートである。
本発明(I)の必須成分である成分(3)は、光重合開始剤である。
成分(3)の光重合開始剤は、近赤外線、可視光線、紫外線等の光の照射により、ラジカル重合の開始に寄与するラジカルを発生する化合物であれば、特に制限はない。
これらの中で、好ましいものとしては、2-ヒドロキシ-2-メチル-1-フェニルプロパン-1-オン、1-ヒドロキシシクロヘキシルフェニルケトン、2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイルジフェニルホスフィンオキサイド、2,3,5,6-テトラメチルベンゾイルジフェニルホスフィンオキサイドであり、特に好ましいものとしては、1-ヒドロキシシクロヘキシルフェニルケトン、2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイルジフェニルホスフィンオキサイドであり、最も好ましくは、2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイルジフェニルホスフィンオキサイドの単独使用、あるいは1-ヒドロキシシクロヘキシルフェニルケトンと2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイルジフェニルホスフィンオキサイドの併用である。
成分(4) 水添石油樹脂、テルペン系水添樹脂、水添ロジンエステル、および水添ポリオレフィンからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種
水添ポリオレフィンとしては、例えば、水添ポリブタジエン、水添ポリイソプレン、水添ポリブテン等を挙げることができる。
水添ポリブタジエンとは、ポリブタジエンを水素還元した化合物である。一般に1,2-ポリブタジエンを水素還元したものが、結晶性がないので好ましい。本発明(I)の重合性組成物に用いる場合には、数平均分子量は30000以下であることが、本発明(I)の重合性組成物の粘度を高くしすぎないためには好ましい。
水添ポリイソプレンとは、ポリイソプレンを水素還元した化合物である。数平均分子量は30000以下であることが、本発明(I)の重合性組成物の粘度を高くしすぎないためには好ましい。
水添ポリブテンとは、ポリブテンを水素還元した化合物である。数平均分子量は30000以下であることが、本発明(I)の重合性組成物の粘度を高くしすぎないためには好ましい。
これらの中で好ましいものとしては、水添石油樹脂、テルペン系水添樹脂のいずれか、または、水添石油樹脂、テルペン系水添樹脂のいずれかと水添ポリオレフィンの組み合わせであり、さらに好ましくは、テルペン系水添樹脂、または、テルペン系水添樹脂と水添ポリオレフィンの組み合わせ、である。
また、テルペン系水添樹脂の中では、高温環境下で保存した場合の着色が少ないので、β-ピネン樹脂、α-ピネン樹脂、β-リモネン樹脂、α-リモネン樹脂、ピネン-リモネン共重合樹脂等の芳香環を有しないテルペン系共重合樹脂が好ましい。
成分(5) アルコール性水酸基を有するアクリロイル基含有化合物
成分(5)は、アルコール性水酸基とアクリロイル基を同一分子内に有している化合物であれば、特に制限はない。
本発明(I)の重合性組成物に使用した場合に相溶性を考慮すると、これらの中で好ましいものとしては、2-ヒドロキシエチルアクリレート、4-ヒドロキシブチルアクリレート、2-ヒドロキシ-3-フェノキシプロピルアクリレート、2-ヒドロキシ-3-(o-フェニルフェノキシ)プロピルアクリレート、2-ヒドロキシプロピルメタクリレート、3-ヒドロキシプロピルメタクリレート、2-ヒドロキシブチルメタクリレート、4-ヒドロキシブチルメタクリレートであり、さらに好ましいのは、4-ヒドロキシブチルアクリレート、2-ヒドロキシプロピルメタクリレート、3-ヒドロキシプロピルメタクリレート、2-ヒドロキシブチルメタクリレート、4-ヒドロキシブチルメタクリレートであり、最も好ましいのは、2-ヒドロキシプロピルメタクリレートである。
成分(6) 水添ポリオレフィンポリオール
成分(6)は、成分(1)、成分(4)および成分(5)の相溶性を増すために用いられる。また、後述の本発明(II)の重合物の誘電率を下げる必要性がある場合や重合時の体積収縮率をさらに低く抑える目的で、好適に用いられる。
水添ポリオレフィンポリオールは、本発明(I)の重合性組成物の必須原料成分である成分(1)の原料になり得る水添ポリオレフィンポリオールと同じ物である。
成分(6)の好ましい使用方法は、水添ポリオレフィンポリオールと、水添石油樹脂とテルペン系水添樹脂の少なくとも一方との併用であり、最も好ましくは、水添ポリオレフィンポリオールと、テルペン系水添樹脂の併用である。
成分(7) 非水添ポリオレフィン
成分(7)は、成分(1)、成分(4)および成分(5)の相溶性を増し、また希釈効果により粘度を低減するために用いられる。
非水添ポリオレフィンとは、例えば、ポリブタジエン、ポリイソプレン、ポリブテン、α-オレフィン重合物、エチレン-α-オレフィン共重合物等を挙げることができる。
なお、本明細書に記載の引張弾性率は、500mm/minの引張速度で試験を行ったときの値である。
重合物の23℃における引張弾性率が、1×107Paより大きいと透光性の保護部103またはタッチセンサー104または画像表示部105に対して、重合性組成物の重合時に、体積収縮による応力の影響により、歪みが生じる場合があり、好ましいこととは言えない。
なお、本明細書に記載の粘度は、コーン/プレート型粘度計(Brookfield社製、型式:DV-II+Pro、スピンドルの型番:CPE-42)を用いて、温度25.0℃、回転数10rpmの条件で測定した値である。
25℃における、本発明(I)の重合性組成物の粘度が5000mPa・sより高くなると、本発明(I)の重合性組成物をディスペンサーを用いた線引き塗布法で塗布する場合には、塗布後の広がりが抑制され、その結果、必要箇所に均一の厚みで該組成物がいきわたらなくなることがあり、好ましいこととは言えない。
これらは単独でも、あるいは2種以上を適宜組み合わせて使用することができる。
これらの中でも、ヒドロキノン、p-メトキシフェノール、p-ベンゾキノン、ナフトキノン、フェナンスラキノン、2,5-ジアセトキシ-p-ベンゾキノン、2,5-ジカプロキシ-p-ベンゾキノン、2,5-アシロキシ-p-ベンゾキノン、p-t-ブチルカテコール、2,5-ジ-t-ブチルヒドロキノン、p-tert-ブチルカテコール、モノ-t-ブチルヒドロキノン、2,5-ジ-t-アミルヒドロキノン、ジ-t-ブチル・パラクレゾールヒドロキノンモノメチルエーテルおよびフェノチアジンが好適に用いられる。
本発明(I)の重合性組成物に使用される消泡剤としては、ポリブタジエン系化合物、アセチレンジオール系化合物など公知の消泡剤で本発明(I)の重合性組成物を濁させにくいものが挙げられる。その具体例としては、例えば、ダッポーSN-348(サンノプコ株式会社製)、ダッポーSN-354(サンノプコ株式会社製)、ダッポーSN-368(サンノプコ株式会社製)、ディスパロン230HF(楠本化成株式会社製)等のアクリル重合体系消泡剤、サーフィノールDF-110D(日信化学工業株式会社製)、サーフィノールDF-37(日信化学工業株式会社製)等のアセチレンジオール系消泡剤等を挙げることができる。これらは、単独で使用しても、2種以上組み合わせて使用してもよい。通常、本発明(I)の重合性組成物の総量に対し、0.001~5質量%添加することができる。0.01質量%未満の場合には、消泡剤の添加効果が発現しない可能性がある。また、5質量%より多い場合には、本発明(I)のの重合性組成物に濁度が生じる場合があり、好ましいこととは言えない。
本発明(II)は、本発明(I)の重合性組成物を重合して得られる重合物である。
本発明(II)の重合物の具体的な製造方法としては、まず、ディスペンサー等を使用して、本発明(I)の重合性組成物を基材に塗布する。次に、前記基材ともう1つの基材を、スペーサを介して重合性組成物を挟みこむように重ね合わせ、その後、高圧水銀灯、メタルハライドランプ、LED等を光源として、光重合開始剤が感光可能な光を、前記のいずれかの基材を介して照射し、本発明(I)の重合性組成物を重合することにより、本発明(II)の重合物が得られる。
本発明(III)の重合物は、画像表示装置の画像表示部と、透光性の保護部との間に介在させる透明光学樹脂層として使用される重合物である。
23℃における、本発明(III)の重合物の誘電率は、周波数100kHz、印加電圧100mVの条件下で3.2以下であることが好ましく、更に好ましくは3.0以下である。23℃、周波数100kHz、印加電圧100mVの条件下における誘電率が3.2より大きい重合物をタッチセンサー104と画像表示部105の間に介在させると、タッチパネルに指で触れることでの透明光学樹脂層の静電容量の変化が大きくなるため、画像表示部の誤作動の可能性が高くなり、好ましいこととは言えない。
本発明(III)の重合物を、2枚のガラス間に200μmの厚みで調整した物を、95℃で500時間の条件で保存した後のJIS Z 8729に記載の色座標b*値は1.5未満が好ましく、さらに好ましくは、1.0未満である。色座標b*値が1.5以上になる場合、画像表示装置の継続使用において、使用初期に比べて画像の色味が変化してしまい、好ましいこととは言えない。
上記したような特性を持つ本発明(III)の重合物は、例えば、本発明(I)の重合性組成物を重合することによって得ることができる。
本発明(IV)は、画像表示部を有する基部と、透光性の保護部と、前記基部と前記保護部との間に介在する透明光学樹脂層を含む画像表示装置の製造方法であって、該方法が、
本発明(I)の重合性組成物を、前記基部と前記保護部との間に介在させる工程、および
光重合開始剤が感光可能な光を前記重合性組成物に照射して透明光学樹脂層を形成する工程
を含む。
図1および図2は、本発明に係る画像表示装置の実施形態の要部を示す断面図である。図1および図2に示すように、本実施形態の画像表示装置101、102は、図示しない駆動回路に接続され、所定の画像表示を行う画像表示部105と、この画像表示部105に所定の距離をおいて近接対向配置された透光性の保護部103と、指で触れた際の静電容量の変化を検知するタッチセンサー104と、透明光学樹脂層106とを有している。透明光学樹脂層106は、画像表示装置101においては、透光性の保護部103とタッチセンサー104の間(透明光学樹脂層106a)およびタッチセンサー104と画像表示部105の間(透明光学樹脂層106b)に存在し、画像表示装置102においては、タッチセンサー104と画像表示部105の間に存在する。よって、画像表示装置101の透明光学樹脂層106bおよび、画像表示装置102の透明光学樹脂層106の静電容量の変化が大きいと画像表示部105にて誤作動が生じる可能性が高くなるため、その誘電率が低いことが求められる。
本実施形態の画像表示装置の製造方法として、例えばまず、画像表示部105上に本発明(I)の重合性組成物を所定量滴下する。
そして、画像表示部105上に、透光性の保護部103を配置し、画像表示部105と透光性の保護部103との間の空隙に、本発明(I)の重合性組成物を隙間なく充填する。
その後、透光性の保護部103を介して、本発明(I)の重合性組成物に対して、本発明(I)の重合性組成物の必須成分である成分(3)が感光可能な光を照射することにより、本発明(I)の重合性組成物を重合させて透明光学樹脂層106を得る。これにより、目的とする画像表示装置を得る。
なお、画像表示部105と透光性の保護部103との間にタッチセンサー104を設ける場合には、画像表示部105上に本発明(I)の重合性組成物を所定量滴下した後、タッチセンサー104を配置し、画像表示部105とタッチセンサー104との間の空隙に、本発明(I)の重合性組成物を隙間なく充填する。次いで、タッチセンサー104上に本発明(I)の重合性組成物を所定量滴下し、その上に透光性の保護部103を配置し、タッチセンサー104と透光性の保護部103との間の空隙に、本発明(I)の重合性組成物を隙間なく充填し、その後、透光性の保護部103を介して、本発明(I)の重合性組成物が感光可能な光を照射することにより、本発明(I)の重合性組成物を重合させて透明光学樹脂層106aおよび106bを得ることにより、目的とする画像表示装置を得る。タッチセンサー104と透光性の保護部103との間に透明光学樹脂層106aを設けない場合には、後の本発明(I)の重合性組成物の滴下は行わない。
また、透光性の保護部103と画像表示部105に対し、重合性組成物の重合時の体積収縮により引き起こされる応力の影響を最小限に抑えることができるので、透光性の保護部103と画像表示部105において歪みがほとんど発生せず、その結果、画像表示部105に変形が発生しないので、表示不良のない高輝度および高コントラストの画像表示が可能になる。
また、図1の透明光学樹脂層106b、および図2の透明光学樹脂層106を、本発明(I)の重合性組成物を重合させて得た場合、透明光学樹脂層106の誘電率が低いため静電容量の変化が小さく、画像表示部105が誤作動を起こす可能性が低くなるので、表示不良のない画像表示が可能になる。
また、透明光学樹脂層106の耐熱着色性が良好であるため、長期間に渡り、表示不良のない高輝度および高コントラストの画像表示が可能になる。
また、透光性の保護部103と、画像表示部105の間に透明光学樹脂層106が存在するので、衝撃に強くなる。
本発明(V)は、画像表示部を有する基部と、透光性の保護部と、前記基部と前記保護部との間に介在する透明光学樹脂層を含む画像表示装置の製造方法であって、該方法が、
本発明(III)の重合物を、前記基部と前記保護部との間に介在させる工程
を含む。
本発明(V)の画像表示装置の製造方法にて、本実施形態の画像表示装置を製造する方法としては、例えば、まず、画像表示部105上に本発明(I)の重合性組成物を所定量滴下する。
そして、画像表示部105上に、透光性の保護部103を配置し、画像表示部105と透光性の保護部103との間の空隙に、本発明(I)の重合性組成物を隙間なく充填する。
その後、透光性の保護部103を介して、本発明(I)の重合性組成物に対して、本発明(I)の重合性組成物の必須成分である成分(3)が感光可能な光を照射することにより、本発明(I)の重合性組成物を重合させる。これにより、本発明(III)の重合物からなる透明光学樹脂層106を得る。これにより、目的とする画像表示装置を得る。
本発明(V)の画像表示装置の製造方法によれば、本発明(IV)の画像表示装置の製造方法と同等の効果が得られる。
本発明(VI)は、本発明(I)の重合性組成物を30~300μmの厚みに塗布し、光重合開始剤が感光可能な光を該組成物に照射して、重合させることによって得られる光学用粘着シートである。
本発明(VI)の光学用粘着シートは、基材を有するものであっても、基材を有さず粘着剤層のみからなる両面粘着シートであってもよい。また、粘着剤層は単一層からなるものであっても複数層が積層されていてもよい。なかでも、透明性の確保や、形状追従性の観点からは、基材を有さず、粘着剤層のみからなる両面粘着シートであることが好ましい。
本発明(VII)は、画像表示装置の画像表示部と、透光性の保護部との間に介在させる透明光学樹脂層として使用される光学用粘着シートである。
23℃における、本発明(VII)の光学用粘着シートの誘電率は、周波数100kHz、印加電圧100mVの条件下で3.2以下であることが好ましく、更に好ましくは3.0以下である。23℃、周波数100kHz、印加電圧100mVの条件下における誘電率が3.2より大きい光学用粘着シートをタッチセンサー104と画像表示部105の間に介在させると、タッチパネルに指で触れることでの透明光学樹脂層の静電容量の変化が大きくなるため、画像表示部の誤作動の可能性が高くなり、好ましいこととは言えない。
本発明(VII)の光学用粘着シートを200μmの厚みで調整し、2枚のガラスを貼り合わせた物を、95℃で500時間の条件で保存した後のJIS Z 8729に記載の色座標b*値は1.5未満が好ましく、さらに好ましくは、1.0未満である。色座標b*値が1.5以上になる場合、画像表示装置の継続使用において、使用初期に比べて画像の色味が変化してしまい、好ましいこととは言えない。
上記したような特性を持つ本発明(VII)の光学用粘着シートは、例えば、本発明(I)の重合性組成物を30~300μmの厚みに塗布し、光重合開始剤が感光可能な光を該組成物に照射して、重合させることによって得ることができる。
本発明(VIII)は、画像表示部を有する基部と、透光性の保護部と、前記基部と前記保護部との間に介在する透明光学樹脂層を含む画像表示装置の製造方法であって、該方法が、
本発明(VI)または(VII)の光学用粘着シートを用いて、前記基部と前記保護部とを貼り合わせる工程
を含む。
本発明(VIII)の画像表示装置の製造方法にて、本実施形態の画像表示装置を製造する方法としては、例えば、まず、画像表示部105上に、本発明(VI)または(VII)の光学用粘着シートを貼り付ける。そして、本発明(VI)または(VII)の光学用粘着シートを介して画像表示部105と、透光性の保護部103を貼り合わせる。これにより、本発明(VI)または(VII)の光学用粘着シートによってなる透明光学樹脂層106を得る。これにより、目的とする画像表示装置を得る。
なお、画像表示部105と透光性の保護部103との間にタッチセンサー104を設ける場合には、画像表示部105上に、本発明(VI)または(VII)の光学用粘着シートを貼り付けた後、タッチセンサー104を貼り付け、次いで、本発明(VI)または(VII)の光学用粘着シートを貼り付け、または貼り付けずに、透光性の保護部103を貼り合わせることにより、目的とする画像表示装置を得る。
本発明(VIII)の画像表示装置の製造方法によれば、本発明(IV)の画像表示装置の製造方法と同等の効果が得られる。
本発明(IX)は、本発明(IV)、本発明(V)、および本発明(VIII)のいずれかの画像表示装置の製造方法によって製造された画像表示装置である。
本発明(IX)の画像表示装置は、液晶表示パネルの本体が光学ガラスから形成されている場合、一般的にその屈折率(nD)は1.49~1.52となる。なお、屈折率(nD)が、1.55程度の強化ガラスも存在する。
透光性の保護部103は、画像表示部105と同程度の大きさの板状、シート状またはフィルム状の透光性部材から形成されている。この透光性部材としては、例えば、光学ガラスやプラスチック(ポリメタクリル酸メチル等のアクリル樹脂等)を好適に用いることができる。保護部105の表面もしくは裏面には、反射防止膜、遮光膜、視野角制御膜等の光学層を形成してもよい。
透光性の保護部103がアクリル樹脂から形成されている場合には、一般的にその屈折率(nD)は1.49~1.51となる。
透光性の保護部103、または透光性の保護部103およびそれと一体化したタッチセンサー104は、画像表示部105の周縁部に設けられたスペーサを介して画像表示部105上に設けることができる。このスペーサの厚さは0.05~1.5mm程度であり、これにより画像表示部2と透光性の保護部103およびそれと一体化したタッチセンサー104との表面間距離が1mm程度に保持される。
また、透光性の保護部103およびそれと一体化したタッチセンサー104の周縁部には、輝度およびコントラストを向上させるため、図示しない枠状の遮光部が設けられている。
画像表示部105と透光性の保護部103との間には、透明光学樹脂層106が介在している。透明光学樹脂層106には、本発明(II)の重合物、本発明(III)の重合物、本発明(VI)の光学用粘着シートおよび本発明(VII)のいずれかの光学用粘着シートが介在するため、可視光領域の透過率が90%以上になる。ここで、透明光学樹脂層106の厚みは30~300μmとなるようにすることが好ましい。
また、透明光学樹脂層106には、本発明(II)の重合物、本発明(III)の重合物、本発明(VI)の光学用粘着シートおよび本発明(VII)の光学用粘着シートが介在するため、25℃における屈折率(nD)は、1.45~1.55、好ましくは、1.48~1.52になるので、画像表示部105や透光性の保護部103の屈折率とほぼ同等になるので好ましい。これにより、画像表示部105からの映像光の輝度やコントラストを高め、視認性を向上させることができる。
粘度は以下の方法により測定した。
試料1mLを使用して、コーン/プレート型粘度計(Brookfield社製、型式:DV-II+Pro、スピンドルの型番:CPE-42)を用いて、温度25.0℃、回転数10rpmの条件で粘度がほぼ一定になったときの値を測定した。
数平均分子量は下記条件でGPCにより測定したポリスチレン換算の値である。

コンデンサー、滴下ロート、温度計および撹拌機付きの300mLセパラブルフラスコに、水添末端水酸基含有ポリブタジエン(水酸基価47.1mgKOH/g、商品名;NISSO-PB GI-2000、日本曹達株式会社製)180gおよびジオクチル錫ジラウレート20mgを入れ、オイルバスを用いて、内温を50℃に昇温した。その後、2-イソシアナトエチルメタクリレート(商品名;カレンズMOI、昭和電工株式会社製)22.86gを滴下ロートから15分かけて滴下した。滴下している間、内温が70℃を超えないようにした。滴下終了後、70±2℃の内温を管理して、撹拌を継続した。赤外吸収スペクトルでイソシアナト基のC=O伸縮振動の吸収が見られなくなったので、撹拌を止め反応を終了し、ウレタンメタクリレート(以後、ウレタンメタクリレートA)を得た。ウレタンメタクリレートAの25℃での粘度は、94500mPa・sであった。
コンデンサー、滴下ロート、温度計および撹拌機付きの300mLセパラブルフラスコに、水添末端水酸基含有ポリブタジエン(水酸基価47.1mgKOH/g、商品名;NISSO-PB GI-3000、日本曹達株式会社製)180gおよびジオクチル錫ジラウレート19mgを入れ、オイルバスを用いて、内温を50℃に昇温した。その後、2-イソシアナトエチルメタクリレート(商品名;カレンズMOI、昭和電工株式会社製)14.4gを滴下ロートから15分かけて滴下した。滴下している間、内温が70℃を超えないようにした。滴下終了後、70±2℃の内温を管理して、撹拌を継続した。赤外吸収スペクトルでイソシアナト基のC=O伸縮振動の吸収が見られなくなったので、撹拌を止め反応を終了し、ウレタンメタクリレート(以後、ウレタンメタクリレートB)を得た。ウレタンメタクリレートBの25℃での粘度は、19900mPa・sであった。
前記ウレタンメタクリレートA 50g、ラウリルアクリレート(商品名:ブレンマーLA、日油株式会社製)49g、ペンタエリスリトールテトラキス[3-(3,5-ジ-tert-ブチル-4-ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオネート](商品名:IRGANOX(登録商標)1010、BASF製)1gおよび2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイルジフェニルホスフィンオキサイド(商品名:SpeedCure TPO、Lambson製)1gを自転・公転ミキサー(株式会社シンキー製、商品名:あわとり錬太郎 ARE-310)を用いて混合した。この配合物を重合性組成物A1とした。重合性組成物A1の25℃での粘度は2500mPa・sであった。
実施配合例1と同様の方法によって、表1に示す配合組成に従って配合した。実施配合例2~5で調製した配合物を、それぞれ重合性組成物A2~A5とし、比較配合例1および比較合成例2で調製した配合物を、それぞれ、重合性組成物B1と重合性組成物B2とした。
なお、表1中に記載の実施配合例および比較配合例の各成分の数字の単位は「質量部」である。

前記重合性組成物A1~A5、重合性組成物B1および重合性組成物B2を、それぞれ、バーコーターを用い、膜厚が200μmとなるようにガラス板(50mm×50mm×0.7mm、ガラスの種類 商品名:EAGLE XG(登録商標)、CORNING製)に塗布し、同種同形のガラス板で挟みこみ、メタルハライドランプを用いたコンベア式紫外線照射装置(株式会社ジーエス・ユアサライティング製、商品名:GSN2-40)を用い、ガラス板越しに、照射強度190mW/cm2(365nmの値)、照射量2800mJ/cm2(365nmの値)の条件で紫外線を照射して重合させ、ガラス板に挟まれた膜厚が約200μmの評価試験用の重合物膜を得た。重合性組成物A1~A3、重合性組成物B1および重合性組成物B2を用いて製造された、前記ガラス板に挟まれた膜厚が約200μmの評価試験用の重合物膜を、それぞれ試験片A1~A5、試験片B1および試験片B2とした。これらの試験片の全光線透過率、b*を後述の方法により測定した。その結果を表3に記す。
2枚のガラス板(50mm×50mm×0.7mm、ガラスの種類 商品名:EAGLE XG(登録商標)、CORNING製)の間に200μm厚の蒸留水を入れたものをリファレンスに用いて、前記試験片A1~A5、試験片B1および試験片B2の全光線透過率を、JIS K 7361-1に準拠して測定した。
2枚のガラス板(50mm×50mm×0.7mm、ガラスの種類 商品名:EAGLE XG(登録商標)、CORNING製)の間に200μm厚の蒸留水を入れたものをリファレンスに用いて、前記試験片A1~A5、試験片B1および試験片B2のb*を、JIS Z 8729に準拠して測定した。
2枚のガラス板(50mm×50mm×0.7mm、ガラスの種類 商品名:EAGLE XG(登録商標)、CORNING製)の間に200μm厚の蒸留水を入れたものをリファレンスに用いて、前記試験片A1~A5、試験片B1および試験片B2のヘーズを、JIS K 7136に準拠して測定した。
2枚のシリコーンでコートされたポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルムを用いて、その間に、重合性組成物A1~A5、重合性組成物B1および重合性組成物B2を、膜厚が200μmになるように挟み込み、メタルハライドランプを用いたコンベア式紫外線照射装置(株式会社ジーエス・ユアサライティング製、商品名:GSN2-40)を用い、シリコーンでコートされたポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルム越しに、照射強度190mW/cm2(365nmの値)、照射量2800mJ/cm2(365nmの値)の条件で紫外線を照射して重合させ、シリコーンでコートされたポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルムに挟まれた膜厚が約200μmの評価試験用の重合物膜を得た。この重合物膜をシリコーンでコートされたポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルムから剥離し、JIS K 7105に準拠して測定した。その結果を表2に記す。
<誘電率の測定>
2枚のシリコーンでコートされたポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルムを用いて、その間に、重合性組成物A1~A5、重合性組成物B1および重合性組成物B2を、膜厚が2mmになるように挟み込み、メタルハライドランプを用いたコンベア式紫外線照射装置(株式会社ジーエス・ユアサライティング製、商品名:GSN2-40)を用い、シリコーンでコートされたポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルム越しに、照射強度190mW/cm2(365nmの値)、照射量2800mJ/cm2(365nmの値)の条件で紫外線を照射して重合させ、シリコーンでコートされたポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルムに挟まれた膜厚が約2mmの評価試験用の重合物膜を得た。この重合物膜をシリコーンでコートされたポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルムから剥離し、インピーダンスアナライザ(アジレント・テクノロジーカビ式会社製、商品名:4294A プレシジョン・インピーダンス・アナライザ 40Hz-110MHz)を用いて測定した。その結果を表2に記す。
なお、重合性組成物A1~A5、重合性組成物B1および重合性組成物B2を重合して得られた、シリコーンでコートされたポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルムを剥離した重合物膜を、それぞれ、重合物膜A1~A5、重合物膜B1および重合物膜B2とする。
重合前の重合性組成物A1~A5、重合性組成物B1および重合性組成物B2と、それらの重合物(即ち、重合物膜A1~A5、重合物膜B1および重合物膜B2)の密度を、自動比重計(型式:DMA-220H、新光電子株式会社製)を用いて、23℃の温度条件で測定し、下記の式から重合時の体積収縮率を求めた。
重合時の体積収縮率(%)=(重合物の密度-重合性組成物の密度)/(重合物の密度)×100
その結果を表2に記す。
重合物膜A1~A5、重合物膜B1および重合物膜B2を引張り試験機(株式会社島津製作所製、EZ Test/CE)に固定し、23℃において、引っ張り速度500mm/minで試験を行い、引張弾性率を求めた。その結果を表2に記す。
前記試験片A1~A5、試験片B1および試験片B2を、それぞれ70℃、85℃および95℃の恒温機に入れ、500時間経過後の試験片を用いて、前記の方法により、全光線透過率、b*を測定した。その結果を表3に記す。
従って、該重合物を画像表示装置に使用することは有用である。

Claims (14)
- 画像表示装置の画像表示部と透光性の保護部との間に介在させる透明光学樹脂層を形成するための重合性組成物であって、該重合性組成物が、
(1)水添ポリオレフィンポリオールと、イソシアナト基および(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物とを反応させて得られるウレタン(メタ)アクリレート、
(2)炭素数6以上の炭化水素基を有する(メタ)アクリロイル基含有化合物、および
(3)光重合開始剤
を含むことを特徴とする重合性組成物。 - さらに、
(4)水添石油樹脂、テルペン系水添樹脂、水添ロジンエステル、および水添ポリオレフィンからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の重合性組成物。 - さらに、
(5)アルコール性水酸基を有する(メタ)アクリロイル基含有化合物
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の重合性組成物。 - さらに、
(6)水添ポリオレフィンポリオール
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の重合性組成物。 - さらに、
(7)非水添ポリオレフィン
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の重合性組成物。 - 請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の重合性組成物を重合させて得られる重合物。
- 画像表示装置の画像表示部と、透光性の保護部との間に介在させる透明光学樹脂層として使用される重合物であって、23℃、周波数100kHz、印加電圧100mVの条件下での当該重合物の誘電率が3.0以下でありかつ2枚のガラス間に存在する200μm厚に調整された当該重合物の、95℃で500時間の条件で保存した後のJIS Z 8729に記載の色座標b*値が1.0未満であることを特徴とする重合物。
- 画像表示部を有する基部と、透光性の保護部と、前記基部と前記保護部との間に介在する透明光学樹脂層を含む画像表示装置の製造方法であって、該方法が、
請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の重合性組成物を、前記基部と前記保護部との間に介在させる工程、および
光重合開始剤が感光可能な光を前記重合性組成物に照射して透明光学樹脂層を形成する工程
を含むことを特徴とする画像表示装置の製造方法。 - 画像表示部を有する基部と、透光性の保護部と、前記基部と前記保護部との間に介在する透明光学樹脂層を含む画像表示装置の製造方法であって、該方法が、
請求項7に記載の重合物を、前記基部と前記保護部との間に介在させる工程
を含むことを特徴とする画像表示装置の製造方法。 - 画像表示装置の画像表示部と、透光性の保護部との間に介在させる透明光学樹脂層として使用される光学用粘着シートを製造するための重合性組成物であって、該重合性組成物が、請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の重合性組成物であることを特徴とする重合性組成物。
- 請求項10に記載の重合性組成物を30~300μmの厚みに塗布し、光重合開始剤が感光可能な光を該組成物に照射して、重合させることによって得られる光学用粘着シート。
- 画像表示装置の画像表示部と、透光性の保護部との間に介在させる透明光学樹脂層として使用される光学用粘着シートであって、23℃、周波数100kHz、印加電圧100mVの条件下での当該光学用粘着シートの誘電率が3.0以下でありかつ2枚のガラス間に存在する200μm厚に調整された当該重合物の、95℃で500時間の条件で保存した後のJIS Z 8729に記載の色座標b*値が1.0未満であることを特徴とする光学用粘着シート。
- 画像表示部を有する基部と、透光性の保護部と、前記基部と前記保護部との間に介在する透明光学樹脂層を含む画像表示装置の製造方法であって、該方法が、
請求項11または12に記載の光学用粘着シートを用いて、前記基部と前記保護部とを貼り合わせる工程
を含むことを特徴とする画像表示装置の製造方法。 - 請求項8、9および13のいずれか1項に記載の画像表示装置の製造方法によって製造された画像表示装置。
