Definitions
- the present invention relates to a rear structure of a vehicle.
- a stop lamp is installed at the rear of the vehicle to notify the following vehicle of the braking of the vehicle.
- a high mount stop lamp has often been attached along the upper edge of the rear window near the upper edge of the rear window at the rear of the vehicle. If the high mount stop lamp is provided on the rear gate without the above-mentioned rear spoiler, the upper mount of the high mount stop lamp on the rear gate is inclined downward to improve aerodynamic performance. It will decrease. As a result, there is a problem that it hinders the driver's rear view, which is not preferable.
- Such a problem is not limited to the case where the high mount stop lamp is provided in the rear gate, but is a common problem in the case where the high mount stop lamp is directly provided on the rear surface of the vehicle without providing the rear spoiler.
- an object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, and to provide a rear structure of a vehicle in which a high mount stop lamp can be provided on the rear surface of the vehicle while improving aerodynamic performance. It is
- the rear structure of a vehicle according to the present invention is a rear structure of a vehicle provided with a high mount stop lamp at a rear end of a vehicle body, and both outer sides of a region on the upper surface of the rear end where the high mount stop lamp is installed.
- the region is deeper than the reference surface formed by the inclined surface of the roof panel, and the lower surface of the high mount stop lamp is configured to be above the rear view of the vehicle. Since the lower surface of the high mount stop lamp is above the vehicle's rear view, it does not disturb the driver's rear view.
- the regions on both outer sides of the region where the high mount stop lamp is installed are deeper in inclination than the reference surface formed of the inclined surface of the roof panel, the aerodynamic performance can be improved.
- a preferred embodiment of the present invention includes an openable rear gate that opens and closes an opening at the rear of the vehicle, and a high mount stop lamp is provided at the upper end of the rear gate.
- the connecting portion between the upper surface of the vehicle body and the rear surface portion of the vehicle body have a corner. Therefore, since a peeling point is stably formed, aerodynamic performance can be improved.
- FIG. 1 is a schematic rear view of a vehicle for illustrating a rear structure of the vehicle according to the present embodiment.
- FIG. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view taken along the line AA of FIG. 2 and a schematic cross-sectional view taken along the line BB of FIG. 2 for showing the rear structure of the vehicle according to the embodiment; (1) The schematic diagram in a center upper surface part for demonstrating the rear part structure of the vehicle concerning this embodiment, (2) The schematic diagram in a recessed part.
- the rear portion of the vehicle body of the vehicle I is a rear structure 1 of the vehicle.
- a rear gate 3 is provided at the rear end of the roof panel 2 of the vehicle I.
- the rear gate 3 includes a rear upper surface 31 which constitutes the upper surface of the vehicle together with the roof panel 2 and a rear rear surface 32 which is provided continuously with the rear upper surface 31 and which constitutes the rear of the vehicle.
- the rear upper surface portion 31 is inclined downward toward the vehicle body from the front to the rear of the vehicle body.
- the high mount stop lamp 5 is built in the upper end center of the rear rear surface 32, and the rear window 4 is provided in the center of the rear rear surface 32. As shown in FIG.
- the rear window 4 is provided from above the lower upper side of the vehicle body to the upper rear view line indicating the upper line of the rear view of the driver.
- the driver's rear view means the rear view from the driver's seat
- the upper line means the line of the upper boundary of the rear view at the rear end of the vehicle. Since the driver's field of view changes depending on the driver's height, the driver's field of view here refers to a general virtual driver's field of view.
- the rear upper surface portion 31 has a central upper surface portion 33 on which the high mount stop lamp 5 is provided. As shown in FIG. 3A, when the rear gate 3 is in the closed state, the central upper surface portion 33 has the same or substantially the same inclination as the rear end slope 21 that constitutes the rear end of the roof panel 2 Provided in
- An upper side portion of the rear gate 3 is rotatably supported by a roof panel recessed portion 22 provided at an end portion of the rear end portion slope 21 of the roof panel 2 via a hinge member (not shown).
- the high mount stop lamp 5 includes a light emitting diode 51, a red lens plate 52, a housing 53 for accommodating these, and the like.
- the high mount stop lamp 5 is installed by a known method such that the red lens plate 52 is fitted to the rear rear surface portion 32 and exposed to the rear surface of the vehicle.
- the recess 6 is provided so as to be inclined to the lower side of the vehicle than the reference plane P 2 as a slope formed by the rear end portion slope 21 of the roof panel 2. That is, the recess 6 has an inclined surface 61 which is inclined to the lower side of the vehicle than the inclination of the central upper surface 33, and the rear upper surface 31 comprises the central upper surface 33 and the inclined surface 61 described above.
- the inclined surface 61 is provided along the optimization surface P1 for optimizing and improving the aerodynamic performance of the vehicle.
- the inclined surface 61 is inclined downward by about 5 mm or more at an angle of 2 degrees to 10 degrees with respect to the central upper surface part 33 (rear end inclined surface 21), thereby effectively optimizing the aerodynamic performance. It is formed along the plane P1.
- the inclined surface 61 is continuous with the rear rear surface portion 32.
- aerodynamic performance can be improved in the present embodiment by forming the inclined surface 61 on the rear upper surface portion 31 of the rear gate 3.
- FIG. 4 (1) corresponding to FIG. 3 (1), the surface consisting of the rear upper surface portion 31 at the position where the high mount stop lamp 5 is provided is a reference surface formed by the rear end portion slope 21 of the roof panel 2. It is along P2.
- an air vortex (a separation vortex) S1 formed downstream of the rear structure of the vehicle when the vehicle travels is as shown in FIG. 4 (1). That is, the air flow flows along the central upper surface portion 33, and is separated at the separation point P3 downstream of the end portion of the central upper surface portion 33, thereby forming a separated vortex S1 downstream of the rear structure 1 of the vehicle.
- the inclined surface 61 at the position where the recess 6 shown in FIG. 4 (2) corresponding to FIG. 3 (2) is provided is along the optimization surface P1 having a larger (deep) inclination than the reference surface P2. There is.
- an air vortex (peeling vortex) S2 formed behind the vehicle at the time of driving is smaller than the peeling vortex S1.
- the rear upper surface portion 31 is provided along the optimization surface P1 at the position where the high mount stop lamp 5 of the rear gate 3 is provided, the position of the high mount stop lamp 5 is lower than the rear upper visual field line. There is a risk of obstructing the upper vision line. Therefore, in the present embodiment, the rear upper surface portion 31 is provided along the reference plane P2 at the position where the high mount stop lamp 5 is provided. Thereby, the rear window 4 can be provided from above the rear upper view line, and the view can be secured. On the other hand, since the aerodynamic performance is low if the entire rear portion is formed in this state, the recesses 6 are provided on both sides thereof, and the recesses 6 are provided along the optimization surface P1. It is configured to maintain high performance.
- the high mount stop lamp 5 is provided without obstructing the rear view, and the recess 6 having the inclined surface 61 along the optimization surface P1 is provided at both ends of the high mount stop lamp 5.
- aerodynamic performance is improved by suppressing the formation of separation vortices.
- the angle of the inclined surface 61 is optimized by inclining to such an extent that separation of the air flow does not occur, that is, inclining along the optimization surface P1.
- the high mount stop lamp 5 in the rear spoiler it is also conceivable to provide, for example, the high mount stop lamp 5 in the rear spoiler to be separate from the rear gate and to incline the upper surface of the rear spoiler in the same manner as the inclined surface 61.
- the rear spoiler since the rear spoiler is formed separately from the rear gate, the air flow can not flow smoothly between the rear gate and the rear spoiler, and a large number of separation points are formed to lower the aerodynamic performance.
- the rear spoiler since the rear spoiler is separately formed, the design of the vehicle is affected, the number of parts is increased, and the manufacturing cost is increased. Furthermore, the vehicle does not occupy a large area in the width direction.
- the aerodynamic performance is improved only at the place where the high mount stop lamp 5 is provided, it is conceivable that the aerodynamic performance of the vehicle itself will be lower than that of the vehicle of the present embodiment. Therefore, it is preferable to form the rear structure of the vehicle as in the present embodiment.
- the continuous inclined surface 61 and the rear rear surface portion 32 are connected smoothly but in a round shape, that is, connected in a large arc.
- the corner 35 is formed there.
- a large number of separation points P3 (see FIG. 4) of the air flow when the vehicle is traveling is formed, and the separation points P3 are stably formed without becoming unstable.
- Ru That is, for example, if the connection portion is rounded, a plurality of separation points are provided unstablely in the front-rear direction of the vehicle at the rear end of the vehicle.
- the connecting portion that is, the end of the vehicle is a corner
- the peeling point P3 is stably formed at the rear end of the vehicle in the front-rear direction of the vehicle, thereby further reducing the air vortex S2. It can be made smaller. Therefore, the negative pressure generated behind the vehicle can be reduced to reduce the air resistance.
- the end portions 62 (see FIG. 2) of the recess 6 in the width direction of the vehicle body are also formed to have corner portions, in order to prevent formation of many peeling points.
- the aerodynamic performance is improved, and the driver's rearward visibility is not impeded.
- the vehicle I according to the present embodiment is limited to a vehicle having a rear gate, the vehicle may not have a rear gate. You may form the recessed part 6 in the upper surface part of the outer panel which comprises the rear end part of a vehicle.
