Abstract
Description
この特許文献1記載の室外機は、熱交換器の一方の側端部と他方の側端部との間に開口部が形成されており、この開口部が配管の接続スペースとして利用されている。
しかし、開口部の周縁に位置している熱交換器の一方の側端部には、U字状に折り返された伝熱管の端部が突出しているため、メンテナンスに使用する工具や交換しようとする機器等が伝熱管の端部に接触する可能性があり、この接触によって伝熱管を傷めてしまうおそれがある。
特に、熱交換器が、室外機本体の4つの側面に対してより広い範囲で設けられている場合には、開口部は必要最小限の範囲で形成されることになる。そのため、伝熱管に対する工具や機器等の接触がより問題となる。
前記熱交換器の隣接する一の側端部と他の側端部との間には、前記室外機本体の内外を連通可能とする開口部が形成されており、
前記開口部の周縁に位置する前記側端部の少なくとも一方には、当該側端部から突出する伝熱管を覆うカバー部材が設けられていることを特徴とする。
このような構成によって、熱交換器の上下方向の全体において伝熱管の損傷を防止することができる。
この構成によれば、カバー部材を室外機本体の構造部材として利用し、室外機本体の強度を高めることができる。
この構成によれば、当該部品を取り付けるために、室外機本体の底板や支柱等に専用の支持部材を設ける必要がなくなり、室外機本体の構造を簡素化することができる。
この構成によれば、設置環境やユーザの選択等に応じて取り付けられるオプション部品をカバー部材により支持することで、オプション部品を支持するための専用の支持部材を新たに設ける必要性を少なくすることができ、オプション部品を備えることに伴うコスト増を抑制することができる。
この構成により、熱交換器の側端部から突出する伝熱管に結露が発生したとしても、結露水が電気部品に付着するのをカバー部材によって防止することができる。
この構成によれば、電装品ユニットによって室外機本体内の空気流が妨げられることがなくなり、空気の流通面積を十分に確保し、熱交換効率を高めることができる。
このような構成によって、電装品ユニットを支持するための支持部材としてもカバー部材を利用することができ、電装品ユニットの支持構造を簡素化することができる。
このような構成によって、室外機本体のより広い範囲に熱交換器を設けることができ、熱交換効率を高めることが可能となる。その反面、開口部の幅が小さくなる可能性があるが、熱交換器の側端部には伝熱管を覆うカバー部材が設けられているので、開口部を介して室外機本体内の機器のメンテナンスや交換等を行う際に、工具や機器等が伝熱管に接触するのを好適に防止することができる。
室外機2は、室外機本体22と、この室外機本体22の側面に沿うように配置された室外熱交換器13とを有している。室外機本体22は、略直方体形状に形成されており、底板30、天板31、支柱32、横梁部材33a~33d、側板44,54,55等を有している。
カバー部材21の側面板21aには、上下方向に長い長孔21dが形成されている。この長孔21dは、伝熱管48のU字型配管48aに対応する位置に形成されている。この長孔21dは、伝熱管48から放出される熱を外部へ逃がすために形成されている。
図9は、本発明の第2の実施の形態に係る空気調和装置の室外機における熱交換器の配置を概略的に示す平面説明図である。図9に示される室外熱交換器13は、長さ方向に離れた4箇所において約90度の角度で屈曲されている。そして、室外機本体22の一つの側面(前面)において、一方の側端部13aと他方の側端部13bとが隣接し、両側端部13a,13bの間に開口部20が形成されている。そして、室外熱交換器13は、一方の側端部13aから突出するU字型配管48aがカバー部材21によって覆われたものとなっている。
また、図10に示される例において、一方の室外熱交換器13においてU字型配管48aのみが突出する側端部13aと、他方の室外熱交換器13においてU字型配管48aのみが突出する側端部13aとを隣接させて、両側端部13a、13aの間に開口部20を形成してもよい。この場合、両方の側端部13a,13aに対してカバー部材21を設けてもよい。
例えば、カバー部材21は、室外熱交換器13の一方の側端部13aにおけるU字型配管48aだけでなく、他方の側端部13bにおけるU字型配管や伝熱管端部を覆うために設けられていてもよい。つまり、開口部20の周縁に位置する室外熱交換器13の両側端部13a,13bに対してカバー部材21が設けられていてもよい。
電装品ユニット24は、室外機本体22の上部に設けられているが、前述のオプション部品25のように、カバー部材21やこれに隣接する支柱32に取り付けることができる。
上記実施の形態では、室外機2に2台の圧縮機11が設けられていたが、1台又は3台以上の圧縮機11が設けられていてもよい。また、圧縮機11やその他の機器の配置等は適宜変更することができる。また、上記各実施の形態では、室外熱交換器13が室外機本体22の4つ又は3つの側面に沿って設けられていたが、2つ以上の複数の側面に沿って室外熱交換器13が設けられていればよい。

Claims (10)
- 平面形状が四角形の室外機本体(22)と、この室外機本体(22)の側面に沿って設けられた熱交換器(13)と、前記室外機本体(22)の上部に設けられ、当該室外機本体内の空気を上方へ吹き出す送風機(23)と、を備えている空気調和装置の室外機であって、
前記熱交換器(13)の隣接する一の側端部(13a)と他の側端部(13b)との間には、前記室外機本体(22)の内外を連通可能とする開口部(20)が形成されており、
前記開口部(20)の周縁に位置する前記側端部(13a,13b)の少なくとも一方には、当該側端部から突出する伝熱管(48a)を覆うカバー部材(21)が設けられていることを特徴とする空気調和装置の室外機。 - 前記カバー部材(21)によって覆われる伝熱管(48a)が、前記熱交換器(13)の側端部(13a)から突出するU字型配管である請求項1に記載の空気調和装置の室外機。
- 前記カバー部材(21)が、前記熱交換器(13)の上下方向の全体にわたって設けられている請求項1又は2に記載の空気調和装置の室外機。
- 前記カバー部材(21)が、前記室外機本体(22)の構造部材として構成されている請求項1~3のいずれかに記載の空気調和装置の室外機。
- 前記カバー部材(21)が、前記室外機本体(22)内に取り付けられる部品(25)の支持部材として構成されている請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の空気調和装置の室外機。
- 前記部品(25)が、オプション部品である請求項5に記載の空気調和装置の室外機。
- 前記部品(25)が、電気部品である請求項5又は6に記載の空気調和装置の室外機。
- 前記室外機本体(22)の上部であって、前記送風機(23)によって生成される空気流の流通路外に電装品ユニット(24)が設けられている請求項1~7のいずれかに記載の空気調和装置の室外機。
- 前記電装品ユニット(24)が前記カバー部材(21)によって下方から支持されている請求項8に記載の空気調和装置の室外機。
- 前記熱交換器(13)が、前記室外機本体(22)の4つの側面に沿って設けられている、請求項1~9のいずれか1項に記載の空気調和装置の室外機。
