Abstract
Description
新陳代謝が低下すると、皮膚の疲労回復機能が低下し、顔色が悪化することによる美観の低下、老化を引き起こす。
本発明は、上記のような事情に鑑み、より効果的に皮膚温度を上昇させることが可能な皮膚温度上昇剤を提供することを目的とする。また、皮膚温度上昇効果を有する化粧料、食品、及び雑貨を提供することを目的とする。
また、本発明の他の態様に係る皮膚温度上昇剤は、4-メトキシスチレン、クラリセージの抽出物、日本薄荷の抽出物、ジュニパーベリーの抽出物、ジヒドロ-β-イオノール、ゲラニオールから選ばれる1種以上を合計で0.001質量%以上50質量%以下含有することを特徴とする。
さらに、本発明の他の態様に係る食品は、上記の皮膚温度上昇剤を含有することを特徴とする。
さらに、本発明の他の態様に係る雑貨は、上記の皮膚温度上昇剤を含有することを特徴とする。
さらに、本発明の化粧料、食品、及び雑貨は、上記の皮膚温度上昇剤を含有しているので、皮膚温度上昇効果を有する。
ただし、本実施形態の皮膚温度上昇剤は、香りを嗅いだ場合に限らず、飲食により体内で吸収された場合や、肌から吸収された場合でも皮膚温度上昇効果が奏される。
(日本薄荷について)
日本薄荷(学名:Mentha arvensis var. piperascens)は、和種薄荷の通称で知られており、日本在来のシソ科ハッカ属の多年草である。日本薄荷の抽出物の抽出には、日本薄荷の全草をそのままあるいは粉砕して用いることができるが、特に葉を使用することが好ましい。
ジュニパーベリーは、ヨーロッパ原産のヒノキ科植物(学名:Juniperrus communis L.)の実である。ジュニパーベリーの抽出物としては、この実をそのままあるいは乾燥した後に適当な大きさに切断したり、粉砕加工したりしたもの等から抽出して得られる抽出エキスが挙げられる。また、抽出エキスを分離精製して得られる画分でもよい。抽出方法は、特に限定されるものではなく、水蒸気蒸留法、熱水蒸留法等の蒸留法、有機溶媒抽出法、油脂吸着抽出法等一般的な精油の抽出方法を用いることができ、特に、水蒸気蒸留法を用いることが好ましい。ジュニパーベリーについては、ジュニパーベリー油による体脂肪燃焼作用(日本国特許公開公報 2005-105188A)、前駆脂肪細胞分化抑制効果(日本国特許公開公報 2004-75640A)等が知られているが、皮膚温度を上昇させることについては全く知られていない。
クラリセージ(学名:Salvia sclarea)はシソ科アキギリ属の一種で2年草のハーブである。クラリセージの抽出物としては、開花期の花穂または全草をそのままあるいは乾燥した後に適当な大きさに切断したり、粉砕加工したりしたもの等から抽出して得られる抽出エキスが挙げられる。また、抽出エキスを分離精製して得られる画分でもよい。抽出方法は、特に限定されるものではなく、水蒸気蒸留法、熱水蒸留法等の蒸留法、有機溶媒抽出法、油脂吸着抽出法等一般的な精油の抽出方法を用いることができ、特に、水蒸気蒸留法を用いることが好ましい。クラリセージについては、体液中のテストステロン濃度を上昇させる効果(日本国特許公開公報 2006-137707A)等が知られているが、本発明のように皮膚温度を上昇させることについては、全く知られていない。
ジヒドロ-β-イオノールは、バラやイエローパッションフルーツ等の香りなどに含まれている香り成分である。ジヒドロ-β-イオノールは、例えばバラの花などから抽出して得られる抽出エキスに含まれている。また、抽出エキスを分離精製して得られる画分を使用してもよい。抽出方法は、特に限定されるものではなく、水蒸気蒸留法、熱水蒸留法等の蒸留法、有機溶媒抽出法、油脂吸着抽出法等一般的な精油の抽出方法を用いることができ、特に、水蒸気蒸留法を用いることが好ましい。なお、ジヒドロ-β-イオノールは、公知の合成方法によって合成することができるので、例えば市販の合成品を用いてもよい。
ジヒドロ-β-イオノールは、下記化学式化1で示される。
ゲラニオールは、パルマローザ油、ゲラニウム油、シトロネラ油など多くの植物精油に含有されている香り成分であり、上記精油を分離精製して得られる。なお、ゲラニオールは、公知の合成方法によって合成することができるので、例えば市販の合成品を用いてもよい。
ゲラニオールは、下記化学式化2で示される。
4-メトキシスチレンは、バラの香りなどに含まれている香り成分である。4-メトキシスチレンは、バラの花などから抽出して得られる抽出エキスに含まれている。また、抽出エキスを分離精製して得られる画分を使用してもよい。抽出方法は、特に限定されるものではなく、水蒸気蒸留法、熱水蒸留法等の蒸留法、有機溶媒抽出法、油脂吸着抽出法等一般的な精油の抽出方法を用いることができ、特に、水蒸気蒸留法を用いることが好ましい。なお、4-メトキシスチレンは、公知の合成方法によって合成することができるので、例えば市販の合成品を用いてもよい。
4-メトキシスチレンは、下記化学式化3で示される。
また、皮膚温度上昇剤を化粧料、医薬品等の組成物に添加して、皮膚温度上昇効果を付与する場合には、添加する皮膚温度上昇剤中の有効成分の含有量は、0.0001質量%以上100質量%以下が好ましく、より好ましくは0.001質量%以上50質量%以下、さらに好ましくは0.01質量%以上30質量%以下である。
本実施形態の皮膚温度上昇剤は、本発明の効果を達成できる限り、その形態については特に制限はなく、液状、ペースト状、ゲル状、固形状等任意の形態で使用できる。
特に好適な態様の1つである化粧料として、限定はされないが、例えば、香水、オードトワレ、オーデコロンなどのフレグランス、クリーム、乳液類、化粧水、マッサージ用ジェル、マッサージ用クリーム、ファンデーション類、粉白粉、口紅、石鹸、シャンプー・リンス類、ボディーシャンプー、ボディーリンス、ボディーパウダー類、エアゾール、浴剤類等が挙げられる。
なお、本実施形態の皮膚温度上昇剤の様々な使用態様を例示したが、それらに限定されるものではなく、本発明の目的を達成できる限り、任意の態様で用いることができる。
日本薄荷の抽出物をクエン酸トリエチルで濃度0.05質量%に希釈したもの、ジュニパーベリーの抽出物をクエン酸トリエチルで濃度0.1質量%に希釈したもの、クラリセージの抽出物をクエン酸トリエチルで濃度0.05質量%に希釈したもの、ジヒドロ-β-イオノールをエタノールで濃度0.1質量%に希釈したもの、ゲラニオールをエタノールで濃度0.1質量%に希釈したもの、及び、4-メトキシスチレンをエタノールで濃度0.5質量%に希釈したものを試験試料として用いて、これら試験試料の香りが皮膚温度に与える影響を検討した。
まず、実施例において皮膚温度上昇効果の確認のために採用した試験方法について説明する。
本実施例においては20歳代女性を被験者とした。日本薄荷の抽出物の場合は5名、ジュニパーベリーの抽出物の場合は7名、クラリセージの抽出物の場合は3名、ジヒドロ-β-イオノールの場合は5名、ゲラニオールの場合は5名、4-メトキシスチレンの場合は7名の被験者が、それぞれ試験に参加した。被験者には予め試験内容を説明し、文書にて試験参加への同意を得た。
被験者の頬、手指先(第3指)、胸部に皮膚温度センサーを貼付し、温度モニターに接続して、皮膚温度を連続測定した。温度モニターは、日機装サーモ株式会社製、N542Rを用いた。皮膚温度データをパーソナルコンピュータに取り込み、皮膚温度が殆ど変化しない胸部皮膚温度を基準温度として、頬と手指先の皮膚温度変化量を算出した。香りを嗅がせた場合と香りを嗅がせない場合の頬、手指先の皮膚温度変化量を比較して、試験試料の香りが皮膚温度に及ぼす影響を評価した。
図1及び図2は、試験結果を示した図である。
結果は、香りを嗅がせた場合の皮膚温度変化量から、香りを嗅がせない場合の皮膚温度変化量を差し引いた値で示した。この値が正の値の場合は皮膚温度を上昇させ、負の値の場合は皮膚温度を低下させると判断される。
また、図2から明らかな様に、日本薄荷の抽出物、ジュニパーベリーの抽出物、4-メトキシスチレンについては、被験者の手指先の皮膚温度を上昇させる効果があることがわかった。

- 4-メトキシスチレン、クラリセージの抽出物、日本薄荷の抽出物、ジュニパーベリーの抽出物、ジヒドロ-β-イオノール、ゲラニオールから選ばれる1種以上からなる皮膚温度上昇剤。
- 4-メトキシスチレン、クラリセージの抽出物、日本薄荷の抽出物、ジュニパーベリーの抽出物、ジヒドロ-β-イオノール、ゲラニオールから選ばれる1種以上を合計で0.001質量%以上50質量%以下含有する皮膚温度上昇剤。
- 請求項1または請求項2に記載の皮膚温度上昇剤を含有することを特徴とする化粧料。
- 請求項1または請求項2に記載の皮膚温度上昇剤を含有することを特徴とする食品。
- 請求項1または請求項2に記載の皮膚温度上昇剤を含有することを特徴とする雑貨。
