- Patent Document 4 Japanese Translation of PCT International Publication No. 2008-513186 (Patent Document 4; corresponding to International Publication No.
- 2006/030588 includes a plurality of stirring chambers that are partitioned from each other by a partition plate having a communication port and connected in the vertical direction. Proposed a vertical solid-liquid countercurrent contact device with a radial discharge type stirring blade and one or more baffles fixed to the inner side wall in the chamber, and a solid inlet and a liquid inlet at the top and bottom Has been.
- the vertical solid-liquid countercurrent contact device by providing a plurality of partitioned chambers (hereinafter also referred to as “contact processing chambers”) for performing a solid-liquid contact process, solid particles can be seen from above. While moving downward, solid-liquid contact processing is sufficiently performed in each contact processing chamber.
- the vertical solid-liquid countercurrent contact device is required to have a high processing capacity and to be able to perform uniform and highly efficient contact with a small amount of solid-liquid contact. In the vertical solid-liquid countercurrent contact device, in order to increase the solid-liquid contact efficiency, it is necessary to continue to update the contact interface between the solid particles and the liquid quickly.
- the contact interface between the solid particles and the liquid is quickly updated in the stirring chamber, which is the contact processing chamber, by stirring with a stirring blade.
- the liquid contact process is sufficiently performed, and a plurality of partitioned chambers are continuously provided in the vertical direction through the communication port, and a stirring blade is provided in each partitioned chamber, so that the post-contact processing is performed.
- the solid particles are moved down by gravity to the next stirring chamber, and contact processing with a new liquid flowing from below is performed, and the contact processing in the stirring chamber is repeated.
- the contact efficiency between the solid particles and the liquid has not been sufficient. That is, in the stirring chamber that is the contact processing chamber, the renewal speed of the contact interface between the solid particles and the liquid becomes non-uniform, or the solid particles after the contact processing in each stirring chamber are not new liquids, In some cases, back-mixing occurs in contact with the liquid that has already been contacted with solid particles, or there is non-uniformity in the movement time of solid particles from a certain contact processing chamber to the stirring chamber connected to the bottom. Depending on the case, the solid particles after the contact treatment in the stirring chamber may pass through the communication port in association with the upward flow of the liquid, and may flow backward to the stirring chamber provided upward.
- solid particles may float on the surface of the aqueous cleaning liquid at the top of the vertical solid-liquid countercurrent contact device, and the solid particles may flow out of the drainage flow path.
- the type, shape, mounting angle, rotation speed, etc. of the stirring blade are adjusted, or a baffle is arranged in the vertical direction along the inner wall surface in the stirring chamber which is a contact processing chamber, and its position and shape, etc. Or by adjusting the shape, opening area, and position of the partition plate's communication port that divides a plurality of stirring chambers connected in the vertical direction.
- a baffle is arranged in the vertical direction along the inner wall surface in the stirring chamber which is a contact processing chamber, and its position and shape, etc.
- the present inventors have found that the type and concentration of the organic solvent in the aqueous slurry and the organic solvent used as the cleaning liquid are related to the uniform sedimentation rate of the solid particles and the above-described solid particle floating and outflow through the drainage channel. We have found that we have
- the sedimentation rate of particles in a viscous liquid it is known that the sedimentation rate of particles is inversely proportional to the viscosity of the liquid, according to the Stokes equation shown in the following equation 1. As a result, it can be seen that the sedimentation rate of the particles is small in a liquid having a high viscosity.
- v s Dp 2 ( ⁇ p ⁇ f) g / 18 ⁇ (Formula 1) v s : terminal sedimentation velocity of particles Dp: particle diameter (m) ⁇ p: solid density (kg / m 3 ) ⁇ f: average density of liquid (kg / m 3 ) ⁇ : Viscosity of liquid (mPa ⁇ s) g: Gravity acceleration (m / s 2 )
- a continuous multistage stirring chamber type vertical solid-liquid countercurrent contact device having a plurality of stirring chambers
- an aqueous slurry containing solid particles and containing an organic solvent is supplied from above the device, and water or the like is supplied from below the device.
- the contact liquid is supplied, the flow from above and the flow from below are brought into countercurrent contact to perform contact treatment, and the treated solid particles flow out from the bottom, preferably from the bottom.
- the concentration of the organic solvent is generally higher in the upper stirring chamber to which the aqueous slurry containing solid particles is supplied than in the lower stirring chamber. From the above Stokes equation, the sedimentation rate of the solid particles is that the upper stirring chamber is smaller than the lower stirring chamber.
- the sedimentation rate of solid particles gradually increases from the upper stirring chamber to the lower stirring chamber. It has been found that the throughput of the flow contact device is highly dependent on the sedimentation rate of the solid particles above the device. That is, it has been found that in order to improve the processing capacity and processing efficiency of the vertical solid-liquid countercurrent contact device, it is only necessary to prevent the sedimentation rate of the solid particles above the device from becoming small.
- the present inventors have conducted intensive research on uniformizing the sedimentation velocity of solid particles in the vertical solid-liquid countercurrent contact device and preventing the solid particles from floating and draining through the drainage channel. If the vertical solid-liquid countercurrent contact device is operated during the winter, solid particles may stay in the upper part of the vertical solid-liquid countercurrent contact device or the drainage We paid attention to the tendency of many solid particles to flow out of the vertical solid-liquid countercurrent contact device through the channel.
- the present inventors measured the change in viscosity of an acetone aqueous solution when the acetone concentration and the temperature of the aqueous solution were changed using a B-type viscometer (manufactured by Tokyo Keiki Co., Ltd.). The results are shown in Table 1. As a result, it was found that in the aqueous acetone solution, the viscosity of the aqueous solution fluctuates more than twice due to the influence of the acetone concentration and the temperature of the aqueous solution. Further, it was found that the viscosity of the acetone aqueous solution increases as the acetone concentration increases in the range where the acetone concentration is approximately 30% by mass or less. In addition, the acetone aqueous solution whose acetone concentration is 0 mass% is equivalent to water.
- aqueous slurry of solid particles using an acetone aqueous solution having an acetone concentration of 20% by mass is supplied from above the device, an acetone aqueous solution is used.
- the temperature of the solution is a low temperature of 10 ° C. or less
- the viscosity of the aqueous solution of acetone is about twice or more that when the temperature of the aqueous acetone solution is 40 ° C.
- 1 ⁇ 2 or less it has been found that phenomena such as solid particles staying above the apparatus or a large amount of solid particles flowing out through the drainage flow path may occur.
- the sedimentation rate of the solid particles becomes non-uniform and the efficiency of the solid-liquid countercurrent contact treatment changes depending on the viscosity of the liquid phase in the middle stirring chamber.
