Description
本発明は、親水化効果及び帯電防止効果が大きく、低コストで製造できるコーティング可能な修飾金属酸化物ゾルに関する。さらに詳しくは親水化剤、帯電防止剤、親水性コーティング組成物、抗菌剤、導電性、イオン(プロトン)伝導性コーティング剤として好適な修飾金属酸化物ゾルに関する。
表面親水化剤として、スルホン酸基を持つビニル化合物とチオール基を持つ化合物のエン-チオール反応により得られる化合物が知られている。(特許文献1)
また、CMP研磨剤用途としてスルホン酸基修飾水性アニオンシリカゾルが知られている。(特許文献2)

しかし、従来の、スルホン酸基を持つビニル化合物とチオール基を持つ化合物のエン-チオール反応により得られる化合物から調整される表面親水化剤は原料であるビニル化合物のコストが高い為、結果としてコストが高いという問題がある。また、CMP研磨剤用途としてスルホン酸基修飾水性アニオンシリカゾルはスルホン酸基の含有量が少量のため、帯電防止性能は不十分であり、またコーティング膜としての強度が不十分である。本発明の目的は、親水化剤、帯電防止剤、親水性コーティング組成物、抗菌剤、導電性、イオン(プロトン)伝導性コーティング剤として好適な修飾金属酸化物ゾルを提供することである。
本発明者らは、上記課題を解決すべく鋭意検討を行った結果、本発明に至った。即ち、本発明は、下記式(1)で表される官能基で金属酸化物ゾル1gあたり0.55mmol以上修飾されたことを特徴とする修飾金属酸化物ゾルである。

本発明によれば、親水化効果及び帯電防止効果が大きく、低コストで製造でき、コーティング可能な修飾金属酸化物ゾルを提供することが出来る。
本発明において、修飾金属酸化物ゾルは下記式(1)で表される官能基で修飾される。

上記式(1)において、R1の炭素数1~10のアルキレン基としては、メチレン基、エチレン基、プロピレン基、ブチレン基、ペンチレン基等が挙げられる。これらのうちコスト及び原料入手の点を考慮すると、好ましくはプロピレン基である。
Mとしては、水素イオン、炭素数1~4のアルキル基、金属イオン(アルカリ金属イオン、アルカリ土類金属イオン、銀イオン、銅イオン及びニッケルイオン等)又はアンモニウム(NR2
4)イオンが挙げられ、親水性、抗菌性などの点を考慮すると、好ましくは、水素イオン、アルカリ金属イオン、アルカリ土類金属イオン、銀イオンおよびアンモニウムイオンである。
アンモニウムイオンのR2としては水素原子、炭素数1~5のアルキル基が挙げられ、好ましくは、水素原子および炭素数1~2のアルキル基(メチル基及びエチル基)である。R2は同一であっても異なっていてもよい。
アルカリ金属イオン、アルカリ土類金属イオンとしては、リチウムイオン、ナトリウムイオン、カリウムイオン、セシウムイオン、マグネシウムイオン及びカルシウムイオンなどが挙げられる。
これらのうち好ましくは、アルカリ金属イオンであり、特に好ましいのはリチウムイオン、ナトリウムイオンである。

式(1)で表される官能基の具体例としては、以下のものが挙げられる。

なお、オルガノゾルとは、ナノレベルで表面改質をしたコロイダルシリカを有機溶媒に安定的に分散させたコロイド溶液であり、アルコール、ケトン、エーテル、トルエン等の各種有機溶媒に分散可能である。
具体的には日産化学社製のオルガノシリカゾル(メタノールシリカゾル、IPA-ST、IPA-ST、IPA-ST-UP、IPA-ST-ZL、EG-ST、NPC-ST-30、DMAC-ST、MEK-ST、MIBK-ST、PMA-ST及びPGM-ST)や扶桑化学社製の高純度オルガノシリカゾル(PL-1-IPA、PL-2L-PGME及びPL-2L-MEK)等が挙げられる。
これらは単独のみならず、複数で用いても良い。
これらのうち、シリカゾルが好ましく、オルガノシリカゾルが特に好ましい。

本発明の修飾金属酸化物ゾルは以下の製造方法により得られる。
すなわち、金属酸化物ゾルに、化学的にスルホン酸基に変換できる官能基を有する下記式(SC1)または(SC2)で表されるシランカップリング剤を添加して金属酸化物ゾル上のシラノールと上記シランカップリング剤を反応させた後、チオール基をスルホン酸基に変換後、必要により金属塩で中和する方法によって得られる。
すなわち、金属酸化物ゾルに、化学的にスルホン酸基に変換できる官能基を有する下記式(SC1)または(SC2)で表されるシランカップリング剤を添加して金属酸化物ゾル上のシラノールと上記シランカップリング剤を反応させた後、チオール基をスルホン酸基に変換後、必要により金属塩で中和する方法によって得られる。

これらのうち、ウレタン結合やウレア結合を持つ化合物はイソシアネート基を有するシランカップリング剤に、2-メルカプトエタノール、2-メルカプトエチルアミン及び4-メルカプトアニリンを反応させることにより得ることが出来る。
金属酸化物ゾルにシランカップリング剤を反応させる場合の溶媒としては、アルコール系溶媒:メタノール、エタノール、イソプロパンール、n-ブタノール、t-ブタノール、ペンタノール、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール及び1,4-ブタンジオール等、エーテル系溶媒:ジエチルエーテル、テトラハイドロフラン及びジオキサン等、ケトン系溶媒:アセトン及びメチルエチルケトン等、非プロトン溶媒:ジメチルスルホキサイド、N,N-ジメチルホルムアミド等及びこれらの混合溶媒等が挙げられる。
これらのうち好ましいのは、アルコール系溶媒であり、これらの溶媒は1種又は2種以上で使用できる。

溶媒に対する原料の金属酸化物ゾルの濃度は1~50重量%であり、好ましくは1~30重量%である。
金属酸化物ゾルに対する化学的にスルホン酸基に変換できる官能基を有するシランカップリング剤の量は金属酸化物ゾル1gに対して0.55~5.5mmolであり、好ましくは2.0~5.0mmolである。

過酸化物としては、有機過酸化物(過酢酸、m-クロロ過安息香酸、過酸化ベンゾイル等)、無機過酸化物(オゾン、過酸化水素、過酸化カルシウム等)が挙げられる。これらのうち、好ましいのは過酸化水素と過酢酸であり、特に好ましいのは過酸化水素である。

過酸化物は前段階の製造工程(金属酸化物ゾルに化学的にスルホン酸基に変換できる官能基を有するシランカップリング剤を結合させる工程)の中に一度に或は分割して投入することが出来る。

本発明の修飾金属酸化物ゾルは、さらに金属アルコキサイド及び/又はそのオリゴマーを含有していても良い。
金属アルコキサイドは下記式(3)で表される。

Mはケイ素が好ましく、Rがメチル基であるテトラメトキシシラン、Rがエチル基であるテトラエトキシシラン、Rがイソプロピル基であるテトライソプロポキシシランが好ましい。また、金属アルコキサイドのオリゴマーとしては、アルコキシシランを部分的に加水分解して得られる低縮合物を例示することもできる。

上記化合物の一例としては、ポリエチレングリコール、ポリテトラメチレングリコール、ポリエステル系ジオール、ポリカーボネート系ジオール、ポリカプロラクトン系ジオール、ビスフェノールA-エピクロロヒドリン樹脂、エポキシノボラック樹脂、脂環式エポキシ樹脂、臭素化エポキシ樹脂、脂肪族エポキシ樹脂、多官能性エポキシ樹脂、ポリエチレンイミン、ペンタエリスリトールテトラキス(3-メルカプトブチレート)、1,12-ドデカン二酸、ε-カプロラクタム、メチルエチルケトオキシム及び3,5-ジメチルピラゾール基でブロックされたイソフォロンジイソシアネート、4,4’-ジシクロヘキシルメタンジイソシアネート、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート並びにトルエンジイソシアネート等が挙げられる。

本発明の修飾金属酸化物ゾルは、それを含有させることにより親水化剤として使用できる。

本発明の親水性コーティング組成物は、さらに、作業性(取扱性及びコーティング性等)を向上させる為に希釈溶剤を含有させても良い。希釈溶媒としては、本発明の修飾金属酸化物ゾルと反応せず、これらを溶解及び/又は分散させるものであれば制限がなく、例えば、エーテル系溶剤(テトラハイドロフラン、ジオキサン等)、アルコール系溶剤(メチルアルコール、エチルアルコール、n-プロピルアルコール、iso-プロピルアルコール、n-ブチルアルコール等)、ケトン系溶剤(アセトン、メチルエチルケトン、メチルイソブチルケトン等)及び非プロトン性溶媒(N,N-ジメチルホルムアミド、N,N-ジメチルアセトアミド、N-メチルピロリドン、ジメチルスルホキシド等)及び水等が挙げられる。
希釈溶媒を含有する場合、希釈溶媒の含有量は、例えば、全溶媒に対する、本発明の修飾金属酸化物ゾルの重量%が、0,01~15重量%(好ましくは0.05~10重量%、特に好ましくは0.1~7.5重量%)となる量である。
本発明の親水性コーティング組成物は、さらに作業性(基材との濡れ性等)を向上させる為に界面活性剤を含有させても良い。界面活性剤としては、通常の炭化水素系界面活性剤及びフッ素系界面活性剤(アニオン型界面活性剤、カチオン型界面活性剤、ノニオン型界面活性剤、両性型界面活性剤)が挙げられる。これらのうち少量の添加で効果を発現するフッ素系界面活性剤が好ましい。

また必要に応じて基板等との接着性を向上させるためプライマーあるいはコロナ放電処理等の表面活性化処理(基材表面の表面エネルギーを高くする手法)を用いても良い。
本発明のコーティング組成物からなるコーティング液の塗布方法としては、ディプコーティング、スピンコーティング、フローコーティング及びスプレーコーティング等が挙げられる。
コーティング液を上記塗布方法等で塗布し乾燥させた後、生成したコーティング膜を硬化させる為の脱水縮合を促進させる物質(触媒、例えば、塩基性物質:アンモニアガス等)等による処理により、コーティング膜の機械物性及び化学物性を向上させても良い。
又は熱処理により脱水縮合を進行させて硬化させ、コーティング膜の機械物性及び化学物性を向上させても良い。
或いは、上記二つの方法を行っても良い。
また式(2)で表されるケイ素系化合物が、ラジカル重合、カチオン重合及びエン・チオール反応等の脱水縮合以外の重合性を有している場合、光又は熱で重合させてから脱水縮合させてもよい。又、重合を脱水縮合と同時におこなってもよい。光としては紫外線、可視光等が挙げられる。
又は熱処理により脱水縮合を進行させて硬化させ、コーティング膜の機械物性及び化学物性を向上させても良い。
或いは、上記二つの方法を行っても良い。
また式(2)で表されるケイ素系化合物が、ラジカル重合、カチオン重合及びエン・チオール反応等の脱水縮合以外の重合性を有している場合、光又は熱で重合させてから脱水縮合させてもよい。又、重合を脱水縮合と同時におこなってもよい。光としては紫外線、可視光等が挙げられる。

これらの触媒は、コーティング液に添加後コーティングしてもよく又成膜後、触媒を溶解させた溶液をスプレー或いは触媒雰囲気下に晒しても良い。
熱処理のみで硬化させる場合、熱処理温度は通常60~250℃、好ましくは80~225℃、特に好ましくは100~200℃である。
熱処理をする時間は通常0.05~48時間、好ましくは0.1~48時間、特に好ましくは0.5~36時間である。
脱水縮合触媒を使用する場合、熱処理温度は室温から上記温度であり、熱処理時間も上記時間と同一である。
光開始剤を使用する場合、照射する光の強さは通常100~3000mJであり、好ましくは500~2000mJであり、特に好ましくは750~2000mJである。
熱開始剤を使用する場合、熱処理温度は通常60~250℃、好ましくは80~225℃、特に好ましくは100~200℃である。
本発明の修飾金属酸化物ゾルの溶媒を除去して得られる固体は、樹脂添加型の帯電防止剤として使用できる。

本発明の帯電防止剤は、ポリカーボネート、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリスチレン、ABS、ポリアミド、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン及びポリカーボネート/ABSアロイ等の樹脂の添加型帯電防止剤として使用できる。
本発明の帯電防止剤の樹脂への添加量は、通常1~60重量%、好ましくは1~30重量%、特に好ましくは1~20重量%である。
樹脂への添加方法としては、粉体を直接添加して混錬するか、或は樹脂を溶かした溶剤の中へ分散させて溶媒を除去又は再沈させても良い。
又、本発明の金属酸化物ゾル溶液の溶媒を樹脂が溶解する溶媒に置換後、樹脂を溶解させて金属酸化物ゾルと混合させてから揮発成分を除去して得てもよい。
又、本発明の金属酸化物ゾル溶液の溶媒を樹脂が溶解する溶媒に置換後、樹脂を溶解させて金属酸化物ゾルと混合させてから揮発成分を除去して得てもよい。
粉体を直接添加して混錬する場合の温度は通常120~300℃、好ましくは150~300℃である。
以下に実施例を示し、本発明を具体的に説明する。実施例は、本発明を説明するものであり、制限を加えるものではない。以下特記しない限り、部は重量部を意味する。
実施例1
3-(トリメトキシシリル)プロパン-1-チオール(チッソ株式会社)1.0部(5.1モル部)をエタノール39部に溶解させた後、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)3.0部、水5.0部及び過酸化水素水(三徳化学工業株式会社製、30%水溶液)2.9部(25.5モル部)を加え24時間加熱還流した。反応終了後室温まで冷却後、水酸化リチウム1水和物0.214部(5.1モル部)を少量の水に溶かして加え中和することにより、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
3-(トリメトキシシリル)プロパン-1-チオール(チッソ株式会社)1.0部(5.1モル部)をエタノール39部に溶解させた後、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)3.0部、水5.0部及び過酸化水素水(三徳化学工業株式会社製、30%水溶液)2.9部(25.5モル部)を加え24時間加熱還流した。反応終了後室温まで冷却後、水酸化リチウム1水和物0.214部(5.1モル部)を少量の水に溶かして加え中和することにより、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
実施例2
3-(トリメトキシシリル)プロパン-1-チオール(チッソ株式会社)1.0部(5.1モル部)をエタノール36部に溶解させた後、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)3.0部、水10.0部を加え24時間加熱還流した。冷却後過酸化水素水(三徳化学工業株式会社製、30%水溶液)3.5部(30.8モル部)を加え24時間加熱還流した。反応終了後室温まで冷却後、水酸化リチウム1水和物0.214部(5.1モル部)を少量の水に溶かして加え中和することにより、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。

実施例3
エタノールを36部から34部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から5.0部に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
エタノールを36部から34部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から5.0部に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
実施例4
エタノールを36部から32部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から7.0部に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
エタノールを36部から32部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から7.0部に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
実施例5
エタノールを36部から32部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から10.0部に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
エタノールを36部から32部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から10.0部に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
実施例6
エタノールを36部から34部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から5.0部に変更し、水酸化リチウム1水和物0.214部(5.1モル部)を1N水酸化ナトリウム水(ナカライテスク社製)5.1容量部(5.1モル部)に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、NaOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
エタノールを36部から34部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から5.0部に変更し、水酸化リチウム1水和物0.214部(5.1モル部)を1N水酸化ナトリウム水(ナカライテスク社製)5.1容量部(5.1モル部)に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、NaOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
実施例7
エタノールを36部から34部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から5.0部に変更し、水酸化リチウム1水和物0.214部(5.1モル部)を1N水酸化カリウム水(ナカライテスク社製)5.1容量部(5.1モル部)に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、KOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
エタノールを36部から34部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から5.0部に変更し、水酸化リチウム1水和物0.214部(5.1モル部)を1N水酸化カリウム水(ナカライテスク社製)5.1容量部(5.1モル部)に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、KOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
実施例8
エタノールを36部から34部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から5.0部に変更し、水酸化リチウム1水和物0.214部(5.1モル部)をアンモニア(ナカライテスク社製、30%水溶液)0.289部(5.1モル部)に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、NH4OSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
エタノールを36部から34部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から5.0部に変更し、水酸化リチウム1水和物0.214部(5.1モル部)をアンモニア(ナカライテスク社製、30%水溶液)0.289部(5.1モル部)に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、NH4OSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
実施例9
エタノールを36部から34部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から5.0部に変更し、水酸化リチウム1水和物0.214部(5.1モル部)をテトラエチルアンモニウムハイドロオキサイド(ナカライテスク社製)0.515部(5.1モル部)に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、N(C2H5)4OSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
エタノールを36部から34部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から5.0部に変更し、水酸化リチウム1水和物0.214部(5.1モル部)をテトラエチルアンモニウムハイドロオキサイド(ナカライテスク社製)0.515部(5.1モル部)に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、N(C2H5)4OSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
実施例10
3-(トリメトキシシリル)プロパン-1-チオール(チッソ株式会社)1.0部(5.1モル部)をエタノール34部に溶解させた後、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)5.0部、水10.0部を加え24時間加熱還流した。冷却後過酸化水素水(三徳化学工業株式会社製、30%水溶液)3.5部(30.8モル部)を加え24時間加熱還流することにより、本発明の化合物、HOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
3-(トリメトキシシリル)プロパン-1-チオール(チッソ株式会社)1.0部(5.1モル部)をエタノール34部に溶解させた後、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)5.0部、水10.0部を加え24時間加熱還流した。冷却後過酸化水素水(三徳化学工業株式会社製、30%水溶液)3.5部(30.8モル部)を加え24時間加熱還流することにより、本発明の化合物、HOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
実施例11
エタノールを36部から24部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から15.0部に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
エタノールを36部から24部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)を3.0部から15.0部に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
実施例12
エタノールをメタノールに変更した以外は、実施例3と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むメタノール溶液を得た。
エタノールをメタノールに変更した以外は、実施例3と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むメタノール溶液を得た。
実施例13
エタノールをメタノールに変更した以外は、実施例11と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたメタノールシリカゾルを含むメタノール溶液を得た。

実施例14
エタノールを36部から24部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)3.0部をシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%イソプロパノールSTゾル)5.0部に、水酸化リチウム1水和物0.214部(5.1モル部)を酸化銀0.591部(25.5モル部)に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、AgOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
エタノールを36部から24部に、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%メタノール溶液)3.0部をシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%イソプロパノールSTゾル)5.0部に、水酸化リチウム1水和物0.214部(5.1モル部)を酸化銀0.591部(25.5モル部)に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様に行い、本発明の化合物、AgOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液を得た。
実施例15
(1)3-(トリメトキシシリル)プロパン-1-チオール(チッソ株式会社)15.0部(76.5モル部)をエタノール375部に溶解させた後、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%イソプロパノール溶液、IPA-ST)90.0部、水100.0部を加え24時間加熱還流した。冷却後過酸化水素水(三徳化学工業株式会社製、30%水溶液)52.5部(463モル部)を加え24時間加熱還流した。反応終了後、室温まで冷却後、水酸化リチウム1水和物3.21部(76.5モル部)を水15部に溶かして加え中和し、さらに水を加えて750部に調整することにより、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液750部を得た。
(2)3,5-ジメチルピラゾール4.81部(50.0モル部)と3-イソシアナートプロピルトリエトキシシラン12.35部(50.0モル部)を脱水酢酸エチル100mlに溶かし、室温で3日間撹拌した。反応終了後、酢酸エチルを除去することにより3-イソシアナートプロピルトリエトキシシランのイソシアナート基を3,5-ジメチルピラゾールでブロックしたブロックドイソシアナート化合物16.8部を得た。
(3)(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液49部に(2)で得たブロックドイソシアナート化合物1.0gを加えて室温で3日間撹拌することにより、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とブロックドイソシアナート基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液50部を得た。
(1)3-(トリメトキシシリル)プロパン-1-チオール(チッソ株式会社)15.0部(76.5モル部)をエタノール375部に溶解させた後、オルガノシリカゾル(日産化学製、30%イソプロパノール溶液、IPA-ST)90.0部、水100.0部を加え24時間加熱還流した。冷却後過酸化水素水(三徳化学工業株式会社製、30%水溶液)52.5部(463モル部)を加え24時間加熱還流した。反応終了後、室温まで冷却後、水酸化リチウム1水和物3.21部(76.5モル部)を水15部に溶かして加え中和し、さらに水を加えて750部に調整することにより、本発明の化合物、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液750部を得た。
(2)3,5-ジメチルピラゾール4.81部(50.0モル部)と3-イソシアナートプロピルトリエトキシシラン12.35部(50.0モル部)を脱水酢酸エチル100mlに溶かし、室温で3日間撹拌した。反応終了後、酢酸エチルを除去することにより3-イソシアナートプロピルトリエトキシシランのイソシアナート基を3,5-ジメチルピラゾールでブロックしたブロックドイソシアナート化合物16.8部を得た。
(3)(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液49部に(2)で得たブロックドイソシアナート化合物1.0gを加えて室温で3日間撹拌することにより、LiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とブロックドイソシアナート基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液50部を得た。
実施例16
実施例15の(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液49.0部にテトラエトキシシラン1.0部を加えて室温で3日間撹拌することにより、テトラエトキシシランの加水分解物とLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルが縮合したゾルを含むエタノール溶液50.0部を得た。
実施例15の(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液49.0部にテトラエトキシシラン1.0部を加えて室温で3日間撹拌することにより、テトラエトキシシランの加水分解物とLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルが縮合したゾルを含むエタノール溶液50.0部を得た。
実施例17
実施例15の(3)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とブロックドイソシアナート基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾル49.0部にテトラエトキシシラン1.0部を加えて室温で3日間撹拌することにより、テトラエトキシシランの加水分解物とLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とブロックドイソシアナート基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルが縮合したゾルを含むエタノール溶液50.0部を得た。
実施例15の(3)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とブロックドイソシアナート基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾル49.0部にテトラエトキシシラン1.0部を加えて室温で3日間撹拌することにより、テトラエトキシシランの加水分解物とLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とブロックドイソシアナート基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルが縮合したゾルを含むエタノール溶液50.0部を得た。
実施例18
実施例15の(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液49.0部にテトラエトキシシランオリゴマー(コルコート株式会社製、40%エタノール溶液、エチルシリケート40)2.5部を加えて室温で3日間撹拌することにより、テトラエトキシシランの加水分解物とLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルが縮合したゾルを含むエタノール溶液51.5部を得た。
実施例15の(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液49.0部にテトラエトキシシランオリゴマー(コルコート株式会社製、40%エタノール溶液、エチルシリケート40)2.5部を加えて室温で3日間撹拌することにより、テトラエトキシシランの加水分解物とLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルが縮合したゾルを含むエタノール溶液51.5部を得た。
実施例19
実施例15の(3)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とブロックドイソシアナート基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾル49.0部にテトラエトキシシランオリゴマー(コルコート株式会社製、40%エタノール溶液、エチルシリケート40)2.5部を加えて室温で3日間撹拌することにより、テトラエトキシシランのオリゴマーとLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とブロックドイソシアナート基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルが縮合したゾルを含むエタノール溶液51.5部を得た。
実施例15の(3)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とブロックドイソシアナート基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾル49.0部にテトラエトキシシランオリゴマー(コルコート株式会社製、40%エタノール溶液、エチルシリケート40)2.5部を加えて室温で3日間撹拌することにより、テトラエトキシシランのオリゴマーとLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とブロックドイソシアナート基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルが縮合したゾルを含むエタノール溶液51.5部を得た。
実施例20
(1)実施例15の(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液49部に3-(トリメトキシシリル)プロパン-1-チオール(チッソ株式会社)1.0部を加えて室温で3日間撹拌することによりLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とチオール基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液50部を得た。
(2)実施例15の(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液49部にγ-グリドキシプロピルトリエトキシシラン(チッソ株式会社)1.0部を加えて室温で3日間撹拌することによりLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とグリドキシ基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液50部を得た。
(3)上記(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とチオール基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液15部、上記(2)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とグリドキシ基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液15部をエタノール30部にて希釈することにより混合溶液50部を得た。
(1)実施例15の(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液49部に3-(トリメトキシシリル)プロパン-1-チオール(チッソ株式会社)1.0部を加えて室温で3日間撹拌することによりLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とチオール基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液50部を得た。
(2)実施例15の(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液49部にγ-グリドキシプロピルトリエトキシシラン(チッソ株式会社)1.0部を加えて室温で3日間撹拌することによりLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とグリドキシ基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液50部を得た。
(3)上記(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とチオール基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液15部、上記(2)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とグリドキシ基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液15部をエタノール30部にて希釈することにより混合溶液50部を得た。
実施例21
実施例15の(3)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とブロックドイソシアナート基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液、実施例20の(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とチオール基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液及び実施例20の(2)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とグリドキシ基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液をそれぞれ15部混合することにより混合溶液45部を得た。

(1)3-(トリメトキシシリル)プロパン-1-チオール(チッソ株式会社)19.6部、アクリル酸tert-ブチルエステル(東京化成株式会社製12.8部)を脱水酢酸エチル270部に溶解させ、触媒にアゾビスイソブチロにトリル(AIBN)0.328部を用いてアルゴン雰囲気下で24時間加熱還流した。反応終了後、酢酸エチルを除去することによりtert-ブチルエステルで修飾されたシランカップリング剤30.1部を得た。
(2)上記(1)で得たシランカップリング剤1.0部と実施例15の(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液49部を室温で3日間撹拌することによりLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とtert-ブチルエステルで修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液50部を得た。

実施例1~14で得た修飾金属酸化物ゾルをエタノール(必要に応じて水との混合液)で25倍に希釈して処理液(表面親水化剤)とし、以下の様に所定の基板の表面を改質し、接触角を測定した。結果を表1に示した。

(1)スライドガラス{76mm、26mm、1.2mm;水酸化ナトリウムの2-プロパノール飽和溶液に24時間浸漬した後、水洗し、乾燥(60℃、2時間)したもの}を処理液(表面親水化剤)に浸漬し、スライドガラスを取り出した後、液切りをし、120℃、24間加熱処理したもの、室温で10分間アンモニアガス処理したものの2種類の表面改質スライドガラスを得た。
(2)ポリカーボネート板{76mm、26mm、1.0mm;高密着シリカプライマー(株式会社ジャパンナノコート社製)に浸漬し、ポリカーボネート板を取り出した後、液切りをし、100℃、1時間加熱処理したもの}を処理液(表面親水化剤)に浸漬し、ポリカーボネート板を取り出した後、液切りをし、100℃、24間加熱処理した表面改質ポリカーボネート板を得た。
(2)ポリカーボネート板{76mm、26mm、1.0mm;高密着シリカプライマー(株式会社ジャパンナノコート社製)に浸漬し、ポリカーボネート板を取り出した後、液切りをし、100℃、1時間加熱処理したもの}を処理液(表面親水化剤)に浸漬し、ポリカーボネート板を取り出した後、液切りをし、100℃、24間加熱処理した表面改質ポリカーボネート板を得た。
接触角測定装置{協和界面化学株式会社、DROP MASTER 500、液適量2μL、測定間隔1000ms、測定回数30回}で、表面改質スライドガラスの表面の任意の5箇所について、接触角(度)を測定し、平均値を算出した。

ポリメチルメタクリレート板(76mm×26mm、厚さ1.0mm)、ポリカーボネート板(76mm×26mm、厚さ1.0mm)、ポリエチレンテレフタレートシート(76mm×26mm、厚さ100μmm)、ポリエステルシート(鋼板にコーティングした物、76mm×26mm、厚さ不明)、ポリウレタンシート(76mm×26mm、厚さ100μmm)不飽和ポリエステル樹脂板(76mm×26mm、厚さ5.0mm)、アルミニウム板(76mm×26mm、厚さ1.0mm)、ステンレス板(76mm×26mm、厚さ1.0mm)等をエタノールで洗浄して、乾燥したものを処理液(表面親水化剤)に浸漬し、それぞれの板あるいはシートを取り出した後、液切りをし、所定の温度・時間で加熱処理した表面改質板あるいはシートを得た。

ポリメチルメタクリレート板(76mm×26mm、厚さ1.0mm)、ポリカーボネート板(76mm×26mm、厚さ1.0mm)、ポリエチレンテレフタレートシート(76mm×26mm、厚さ100μmm)、ポリエステルシート(鋼板にコーティングした物、76mm×26mm、厚さ不明)、ポリウレタンシート(76mm×26mm、厚さ100μmm)不飽和ポリエステル樹脂板(76mm×26mm、厚さ5.0mm)、アルミニウム板(76mm×26mm、厚さ1.0mm)、ステンレス板(76mm×26mm、厚さ1.0mm)等をエタノールで洗浄して、乾燥したものを処理液(表面親水化剤)に浸漬し、それぞれの板あるいはシートを取り出した後、液切りをし、所定の温度・時間で加熱処理した表面改質板あるいはシートを得た。
表1及び表2から明らかなように、本発明の親水化剤は未処理品に比べ、接触角が顕著に小さく、(表面)親水化の効果が優れることが判る。

(1)実施例15の(1)で得たLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液49部にビニルトリメトキシシラン1.0部を加えて室温で3日間撹拌することによりLiOSO2-CH2CH2CH2Si(-O-)3基とビニル基で修飾されたイソプロパノールシリカゾルを含むエタノール溶液50部を得た。

帯電防止性能評価結果(1)
実施例31~32で得た白色粉末(帯電防止剤)をポリカーボネート(三菱ガス化学製、PCZ-400)が10wt%溶解したトルエン中へ、所定の濃度になるように添加し、ホモジナイザー(エムテック株式会社製、CLM2.2S)で強せん断下、攪拌することにより分散液とした。次に、本分散液をキャスト法によりシート化し、透明なポリカーボネート/帯電防止剤コンポジットシートを得た。得られたシートの表面抵抗を表面抵抗計(三菱化学社製、ハイレスターUP MCP-HT450)で測定した。得られたシートの表面抵抗値を表4に示した。
実施例31~32で得た白色粉末(帯電防止剤)をポリカーボネート(三菱ガス化学製、PCZ-400)が10wt%溶解したトルエン中へ、所定の濃度になるように添加し、ホモジナイザー(エムテック株式会社製、CLM2.2S)で強せん断下、攪拌することにより分散液とした。次に、本分散液をキャスト法によりシート化し、透明なポリカーボネート/帯電防止剤コンポジットシートを得た。得られたシートの表面抵抗を表面抵抗計(三菱化学社製、ハイレスターUP MCP-HT450)で測定した。得られたシートの表面抵抗値を表4に示した。
帯電防止性能評価(2)
実施例33~34で得た導電性ガラス繊維をラボプラストミル(東洋精機株式会社製、4M150)中、所定濃度となるように260℃にて5分間、溶融混錬した。また、得られたコンパウンドを真空ホットプレス(トーシン株式会社製)にて260℃、0.5MPaにて1分間プレスし、0.5mm厚みの透明なシートを得た。得られたシートの表面抵抗値を表4に示した。
実施例33~34で得た導電性ガラス繊維をラボプラストミル(東洋精機株式会社製、4M150)中、所定濃度となるように260℃にて5分間、溶融混錬した。また、得られたコンパウンドを真空ホットプレス(トーシン株式会社製)にて260℃、0.5MPaにて1分間プレスし、0.5mm厚みの透明なシートを得た。得られたシートの表面抵抗値を表4に示した。
上記結果より、明らかなように本発明の修飾金属酸化物ゾルが未添加の系においては、表面抵抗値は1013以上(測定限界)と非常に大きいのに対し、本発明の修飾金属酸化物ゾルを添加した系においては、表面抵抗が低下し、帯電防止性能(109~1013)が付与されていることが分かる。
本発明の修飾金属酸化物ゾルは親水化効果及び帯電防止効果が大きく、コーティング可能で安価に製造出来るため、親水化剤、帯電防止剤、親水性コーティング組成物、抗菌剤、導電性、イオン(プロトン)伝導性コーティング剤として好適である。
Claims (9)
- 下記式(1)で表される官能基で金属酸化物ゾル1gあたり0.55~5.5mmol修飾されたことを特徴とする修飾金属酸化物ゾル。
MOS(=O)2-R1-Si(CH3)n(-O-)3-n (1)
{式中Mは水素イオン、炭素数1~4のアルキル基、金属イオン又はアンモニウム(NR2 4)基、R1は炭素数1~10のアルキレン基(本アルキレン鎖中に、ウレタン結合又はウレア結合を含有していても良い)であり、R2は同一或いは異なってもよい炭素数1~5のアルキル基又は水素原子であり、nは0又は1を表す。} - さらに、下記式(2)で表されるケイ素系化合物を少なくとも1種含有する請求項1に記載の修飾金属酸化物ゾル。

{式中Xは、ビニル基、チオール基、アミノ基、塩素原子、アクリル基、メタクリル基、スチリル基、フェニル基、グリシドキシ基、3,4-エポキシシクロヘキシル基及びブロック化イソシアネート基からなる群から選ばれる官能基であり、R3は炭素数1~5のアルキレン基であり、mは0又は1であり、Yは同一或いは異なってもよい炭素数1~4のアルコキシ基又は水酸基、nは0又は1を表す。} - さらに、金属アルコキサイド及び/又はそのオリゴマーを含有する請求項1又は2に記載の修飾金属酸化物ゾル。
- 金属酸化物ゾルがオルガノシリカゾルである請求項1~3のいずれかに記載の修飾金属酸化物ゾル。
- 請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の修飾金属酸化物ゾルを含有する親水化剤。
- 請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の修飾金属酸化物ゾルを含有する親水性コーティング組成物。
- 請求項6に記載の親水性コーティング組成物をコーティング後硬化させて得られる構造体。
- 請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の修飾金属酸化物ゾルを乾燥させて得られる固体を含有する帯電防止剤。
- 請求項8に記載の帯電防止剤を含有する構造体。
