Definitions
- the present invention relates to a polymer water treatment membrane and a method for producing the same, and more particularly to a polymer water treatment membrane having high mechanical strength and water permeability and excellent in stain resistance, and a method for producing the same.
- a polymeric water treatment membrane is used.
- Such a polymer water treatment membrane is generally used as a separation membrane in a water treatment apparatus, for example, polysulfone (PS) type, polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) type, polyethylene (PE) type, cellulose acetate ( BACKGROUND
- PS polysulfone
- PVDF polyvinylidene fluoride
- PE polyethylene
- BACKGROUND A hollow fiber porous membrane formed of various polymer materials such as CA), polyacrylonitrile (PAN), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), and polyimide (PI) is used.
- polysulfone-based resins are widely used because they are excellent in physical and chemical properties such as heat resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance and the like and film formation is easy.
- the polymer water treatment membrane is required to have excellent water permeability, excellent physical strength, and stability to various chemical substances (that is, resistance to various substances). Chemical properties are high, and it is difficult to attach stains at the time of filtration (that is, the stain resistance is excellent).
- a cellulose acetate-based hollow fiber separation membrane excellent in the balance of mechanical physical properties and improved in water permeation rate has been proposed (see Patent Document 1).
- this cellulose acetate separation membrane has low mechanical strength and insufficient chemical resistance. Therefore, when the separation membrane is contaminated, there is a problem that it is extremely difficult to perform cleaning by physical or chemical means.
- MLR membrane separation activated sludge process
- a polymer water treatment membrane comprising a hollow fiber membrane made of polyvinylidene fluoride resin and excellent in both physical strength and chemical resistance has been proposed (see Patent Document 2).
- This polymer water treatment membrane can be cleaned using various chemicals even if it is contaminated.
- polyvinylidene fluoride tends to be relatively low in hydrophilicity and low in stain resistance.
- a membrane for water filtration comprising a comb polymer obtained by graft polymerizing polyoxyethylene methacrylate using a copper chloride catalyst in which a tetramine compound is coordinated to a vinyl chloride resin (see Patent Document 5).
- This document describes a polymer blend membrane of homopolymer and comb polymer of main chain to be grafted, and in order to further improve the hydrophilicity of the membrane, the molecular weight of the graft chain of the comb polymer is increased.
- the molecular weight of the graft chain is increased, the compatibility with the homopolymer may be reduced, and the mechanical strength may be reduced.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a polymer water treatment membrane having antifouling properties while securing mechanical strength, chemical resistance and water permeability, and a method for producing the same. I assume.
- the polymer water treatment membrane of the present invention is It is characterized by comprising a vinyl chloride-based copolymer containing a vinyl chloride monomer and a hydrophilic monomer as a constitutional unit.
- the hydrophilic monomer is a hydrophilic non-ionic group-containing monomer.
- a hydrophilic nonionic group-containing monomer is, for example, a hydroxyl group-containing monomer, a hydroxyalkyl group-containing monomer, a polyhydric alcohol-containing monomer, a polyalkylene glycol-containing monomer having one terminal alkyl ether or aryl ether and an N-vinyl cyclic amide-containing monomer Are selected from the group consisting of
- the hydrophilic nonionic group-containing monomer is a hydroxyl group-containing monomer, and the hydroxyl group-containing monomer is vinyl alcohol.
- the vinyl chloride-based copolymer contains, as hydrophilic monomer units, copolymerized vinyl chloride and vinyl alcohol units in which vinyl acetate units in vinyl acetate are converted by hydrolysis.
- the hydrophilic non-ionic group containing monomer is a polyalkylene glycol containing monomer.
- the polyalkylene glycol-containing monomer is a polyethylene glycol-containing monomer.
- the average degree of polymerization of the polyalkylene glycol is 4 to 140.
- the polyalkylene glycol-containing monomer is a polyalkylene in which a part or all of one terminal is substituted by at least one selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms and an aryl group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms Contains glycol.
- the hydrophilic non-ionic group containing monomer is an N-vinyl cyclic amide containing monomer.
- the N-vinyl cyclic amide containing monomer is N-vinyl pyrrolidone.
- the vinyl chloride copolymer has a degree of polymerization of 250 to 5,000.
- the vinyl chloride monomer accounts for 50 to 99% by mass of the total constituent units constituting the vinyl chloride-based copolymer.
- the high molecular weight water treatment membrane is a porous membrane.
- the high molecular weight water treatment membrane is a hollow fiber membrane.
- the method for producing a polymer water treatment membrane of the present invention is A method for producing a high molecular weight water treatment membrane comprising a vinyl chloride-based copolymer containing a vinyl chloride monomer and a vinyl alcohol as a constitutional unit, Molding a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate into a film, It is characterized in that the method comprises hydrolyzing a vinyl acetate unit contained in the copolymer to convert it into a vinyl alcohol unit.
- the polymer water treatment membrane of the present invention is substantially composed of a vinyl chloride copolymer.
- a vinyl chloride-type copolymer a vinyl chloride monomer and a hydrophilic monomer are mentioned.
- the hydrophilic monomer refers to a monomer copolymerizable with vinyl chloride and having a functional group having hydrophilicity.
- the functional group having hydrophilicity refers to a functional group capable of forming a hydrogen bond with a water molecule in a monomer having the functional group, for example, a carboxyl group, a hydroxyl group, a sulfonyl group, an amino group, an amide group, Examples thereof include an ammonium group, a pyridyl group, an imino group, a betaine structure, an ester structure, an ether structure, a sulfo group and a phosphoric acid group.
- the functional group having hydrophilicity may be substituted / bonded to its side chain as long as it is contained in the molecule of the vinyl chloride copolymer, it is preferable to be substituted / bonded to the main chain .

Abstract
