Claims (8)
- 車両側方からの衝突時に展開膨張することで、前記車両の乗員の側面を保護するサイドエアバックを備え、
前記サイドエアバックは、前記乗員の肩部に対応する肩部区画室を含む複数の区画室が形成されており、
前記肩部区画室は、前記サイドエアバックの展開膨張時において、
車両前後方向において前記車両のドアが隣り合うピラーと、車両側方面視において重なり合う第1ラップ部と、
前記ドアのうち、ドアウィンドが格納されるドア本体部と、車両側方面視において重なり合う第2ラップ部と、
前記第1ラップ部と前記第2ラップ部との間に形成され、前記第1ラップ部から前記ドア本体部の車両上方側の端部であるドアベルトラインに沿って前記第2ラップ部に向かう中間部と、
を有することを特徴とするサイドエアバック装置。 - 前記サイドエアバックの展開膨張時において、前記肩部区画室が最も高圧になる請求項1に記載のサイドエアバック装置。
- 前記複数の区画室は、
前記肩部区画室と、
前記乗員の腰部に対応する腰部区画室と、
前記肩部区画室と前記腰部区画室との間に形成され、前記乗員の胸部に対応する胸部区画室と、
を有し、
前記サイドエアバックの展開膨張時において、前記胸部区画室が前記肩部区画室、前記腰部区画室よりも低圧となる請求項2に記載のサイドエアバック装置。 - 前記胸部区画室は、前記サイドエアバックの展開膨張時において、周囲よりも車外側に凹む前記乗員の腕に対応した腕部用凹部が形成されている請求項3に記載のサイドエアバック装置。
- 前記サイドエアバックを展開膨張させるガスを発生するインフレーターをさらに備え、
前記サイドエアバックは、前記インフレーターからのガスを前記複数の区画室に供給するインナーチューブが形成されており、
前記サイドエアバックの展開膨張時における前記複数の区画室の圧力は、前記インナーチューブにおいて前記複数の区画室に前記ガスを供給する際の流路抵抗に基づいて変化させる請求項2~4のいずれか1つに記載のサイドエアバック装置。 - 前記インナーチューブと前記複数の区画室との間には、前記複数の区画室から前記インナーチューブへの前記ガスの流入を抑制する抑制機構を備える請求項5に記載のサイドエアバック装置。
- 前記肩部区画室は、最も気密度が高いことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のサイドエアバック装置。
- 車両側方からの衝突時に展開膨張することで、前記車両の乗員の側面を保護するサイドエアバックを備え、
前記サイドエアバックは、
車両前後方向において前記車両のドアが隣り合うピラーと、車両側方面視において重なり合う第1ラップ部と、
前記車両のドアのうち、前記ドアが有するドアウィンドよりも車両下方の部分と、車両側方面視において重なり合う第2ラップ部と、
を有し、
前記サイドエアバックの車両側方面視における外郭線のうち、前記第1ラップ部と前記第2ラップ部と間に形成される部分は、前記サイドエアバックの展開膨張時に前記第1ラップ部における前記外郭線の最も車両上方側の位置よりも車両下方側であり、かつ前記第2ラップ部における前記外郭線の最も車両上方側の位置よりも車両上方側に位置することを特徴とするサイドエアバック装置。
