Definitions
- the present invention relates to a technical field of a vehicle control device that controls a vehicle capable of lane maintenance control such as LKA (Lane Keeping Assist) control by a steering mechanism such as an active steering mechanism.
- LKA Lane Keeping Assist
- Patent Document 1 a device that issues an alarm when the vehicle deviates from the lane has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
- the vehicle lane departure warning device disclosed in Patent Document 1 when it is determined that the vehicle departs from the traveling lane while the winker is operating, the vehicle deviating direction and the winker instruction direction are the same. It is said that the passenger is not bothered by not warning.
- the steering control stop timing may give the driver a sense of incongruity when the steering control is stopped in response to the blinker blinking operation, the driver's steering possibility is evaluated and evaluated.
- There has also been proposed one that makes the ease of stopping the steering control variable according to the possibility of steering for example, see Patent Document 2).
- the conventional technique exemplified in the above-mentioned patent document has a technical problem that the vehicle may be deflected in a direction not intended by the driver when the lane keeping control is ended by operating the direction indicator.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle control device that can end the lane keeping control without giving the driver a sense of incongruity.
- a vehicle control device is a vehicle control device including a steering mechanism capable of changing a steering angle of a steered wheel without depending on a steering input of a driver.

- the lane keeping control is executed by the execution means in response to the lane keeping request, and a lane keeping function such as LKA is added to the vehicle.
- This lane keeping control has a concept of recognizing an object (for example, a white line (which does not mean that the color is simply white) or a lane marker) by appropriate detection means (for example, an in-vehicle camera), The steering angle is automatically adjusted (in this case, so that the traveling lane of the vehicle is maintained in the lane defined by the object (in other words, the vehicle does not deviate from the object).
- "Automatic" means that the control is independent of the steering input of the driver.
- this lane keeping control is performed when the driver's steering intention is indicated with an appropriate form (for example, by steering operation or operation of a direction indicator). It is desirable that the operation is terminated without delay (in other words, the driver's steering input is basically not involved in performing the lane keeping control).
- the driver may unintentionally deflect the vehicle.
- the steering force is applied to the steered wheels by the steering mechanism just before the lane keeping control is finished (for example, the steering torque is applied to the steering shaft)
- the application of the steering force is stopped ( In this case, the steering wheel is steered (return of the steering angle) in the direction opposite to the direction in which the steering force was applied.
- the operation of the direction indicator itself represents the driver's intention to steer, it does not necessarily involve physical or electrical steering input. Therefore, if the direction indicator is merely operated, the lane is maintained.
- the vehicle is deflected by the steering phenomenon of the steered wheels accompanying the end of the control.
- Such vehicle deflection is controlled so that the steering mechanism is controlled to change the steering angle when the lane keeping control is performed, but does not change the steering angle (including a sufficiently small case). Whether the steering mechanism is controlled can occur as well. Furthermore, since such vehicle deflection does not occur at the driver's will, the driver is likely to feel uncomfortable with such vehicle deflection, and is particularly accompanied by a change in the steering angle when the lane keeping control is executed. If the steering mechanism is controlled so as to prevent the driver from feeling uncomfortable, the driver may feel a sense of incongruity.
- the ending means ends the lane keeping control based on the operation state of the direction indicator and the control state of the steering mechanism in the execution period of the lane keeping control. Yes.
- control state is a generation direction of steering torque in the execution process of the lane keeping control
- operation state is an indication direction of the direction indicator
- the end means switches the end timing of the lane keeping control depending on whether the generation direction and the indicated direction are the same direction.
- the vehicle deflection direction when the lane keeping control is finished is This is opposite to the indicated direction.
- the direction in which the steering torque is generated is different from the direction indicated by the direction indicator, the deflection direction of the vehicle when the lane keeping control is finished is the same direction as the direction indicated. Since the vehicle unintentional deflection of the vehicle is equivalent to the former case, according to this aspect, it is possible to effectively and efficiently suppress the occurrence of a sense of incongruity when ending the lane keeping control.
- the ending means may end the lane keeping control with a delay when compared with a case where the generation direction and the indicated direction are the same.
- the end means may end the lane keeping control after a steering input is made when the generation direction and the instruction direction are the same.
- control means may end the lane keeping control when the direction indicator is operated when the generation direction and the indication direction are different.
- the ending means receives a steering torque when the direction indicator is operated, and converts the input steering torque into the input steering torque.
- the lane keeping control is terminated when a threshold value determined in response thereto is exceeded.
- the vehicle is deflected without any action associated with the end of the lane keeping control.
- the threshold value it is possible to reliably prevent the driver from feeling uncomfortable.
- the steering torque in the execution process of the lane keeping control is When the direction and the direction of the steering torque as the steering input (that is, the steering direction and the direction of the direction indicator unless the driver makes a mistake) match, the steering torque as the steering input is relatively Get smaller. Conversely, when the direction of the steering torque in the course of executing the lane keeping control and the direction of the steering torque as the steering input are different, the steering torque as the steering input becomes relatively large. If this phenomenon is used, it is possible to easily determine the direction indicated by the direction indicator based on the steering torque as the steering input.

Therefore, each steered wheel can be steered in the left and right steered directions by the linear motion of the rack bar 260 along the lateral direction of the vehicle. That is, in the steering mechanism 200, a so-called rack and pinion type steering system is realized by the pinion gear 250 and the rack bar 260.

- This EPS motor is configured such that an assist steering torque TA can be generated in the direction of rotation when the rotor is rotated by the action of a rotating magnetic field formed in the EPS motor by energizing the stator via the EPS driving device 400. Has been.
- a reduction gear (not shown) is fixed to the motor shaft which is the rotation shaft of the EPS motor, and this reduction gear is also meshed with the pinion gear 250. Therefore, the assist steering torque TA generated from the EPS motor functions as a torque that assists the rotation of the pinion gear 25-.
- the pinion gear 250 is connected to the lower steering shaft 240 as described above, and the lower steering shaft 240 is connected to the upper steering shaft 230 via the VGRS actuator 500. Therefore, the steering torque MT applied to the upper steering shaft 230 via the steering wheel 210 is transmitted to the rack bar 260 in a form that is appropriately assisted by the assist steering torque TA, thereby reducing the driver's steering burden. It has become.

Further, the EPS driving device 400 is electrically connected to the ECU 100, and its operation is controlled by the ECU 100.
- the EPS actuator 300 and the EPS driving device 400 constitute a kind of electronically controlled power steering device.
- the configuration of this type of power steering device that assists the driver steering torque MT is as follows.
- the assist steering torque TA output from the EPS motor may be directly transmitted to the lower steering shaft 240 with a reduction in rotational speed by a reduction gear (not shown). It may be applied as a force assisting the reciprocating motion of the rack bar 260.

- the rotating shaft is fixed so as to be coaxially rotatable with the rotor, and the downstream end thereof is connected to the speed reduction mechanism.
- the speed reduction mechanism is a planetary gear mechanism having a plurality of rotating elements (sun gear, carrier, and ring gear) capable of differential rotation.
- the sun gear as the first rotating element is connected to the rotating shaft of the VGRS motor, and the carrier as the second rotating element is connected to the housing.
- a ring gear as a third rotating element is connected to the lower steering shaft 240.
- the rotation angle of the upper steering shaft 230 (that is, the rotation angle of the housing connected to the carrier) corresponding to the steering angle MA that is the operation angle of the steering wheel 210, and the VGRS motor
- the rotation angle of the lower steering shaft 240 connected to the ring gear which is the remaining one rotation element is uniquely determined by the rotation angle (that is, the rotation angle of the rotation shaft connected to the sun gear).
- the rotational speed of the lower steering shaft 240 can be increased or decreased by controlling the rotational speed of the VGRS motor to increase or decrease by the differential action between the rotating elements. That is, the upper steering shaft 230 and the lower steering shaft 240 can be rotated relative to each other by the action of the VGRS motor and the speed reduction mechanism. Further, due to the configuration of each rotary element in the speed reduction mechanism, the rotation speed of the VGRS motor is transmitted to the lower steering shaft 240 in a state where the speed is reduced according to a predetermined reduction ratio determined according to the gear ratio between the respective rotary elements.
- the upper steering shaft 230 and the lower steering shaft 240 can rotate relative to each other, so that the steering angle MA corresponding to the rotation angle of the upper steering shaft 230 and the rotation angle of the lower steering shaft 240 are determined.

- the EPS actuator 300 can apply a steering force for urging the steered wheels to steer, but the rotation of the pinion gear 250 that causes the linear motion of the rack bar 260 remains as it is as the lower steering. Since the shaft 240 is also rotated, the relationship between the steering angle MA and the steering angle ⁇ st does not change under a certain steering angle transmission ratio. That is, the steering wheel can be steered regardless of the driver's intention, but as a result, the steering wheel 210 also rotates regardless of the driver's intention.
- the VGRS actuator 500 is driven in synchronization with the control of the EPS actuator 300. More specifically, the VGRS actuator 500 reduces the steering angle transmission ratio when changing the steered wheels regardless of the driver's intention by applying the driving force (assist steering torque TA) from the EPS actuator 300. That is, in the above definition, the VGRS motor is controlled so that the steering angle MA (or the actual steering angle ⁇ st) required to obtain one actual steering angle ⁇ st (or the steering angle MA) decreases (or increases).
- the VGRS actuator 300 has a shape in which the VGRS motor floats in the air.
- this type of steering is realized by using only the VGRS actuator 500, the steering wheel 210 instead of the steered wheel turns. It will be steered in the opposite direction. Accordingly, it may be difficult to practice the provision of the steering force to the steered wheels by the VGRS actuator 500.
- this kind of steering is suitably realized by cooperatively controlling the EPS actuator 300 and the VGRS actuator 500.

- the steering torque sensor 12 is a sensor configured to be able to detect the steering torque MT applied from the driver via the steering wheel 11. More specifically, the upper steering shaft 230 is divided into an upstream portion and a downstream portion, and has a configuration in which they are connected to each other by a torsion bar (not shown). - the upper and lower directions may correspond to the left direction and the right direction, respectively), and the direction indicator lamp 15 corresponding to the rotation direction is flashed when operated to the lock position in one rotation direction.
- the direction indicator lamp 15 and its operation are configured to cooperate with each other. Further, when the winker lever 16 returns from the locked position to the neutral position, the blinking lighting of the direction indicator lamp 15 is also terminated accordingly.
- the winker lever 16 operated to the lock position is configured to be physically locked at the lock position by a lock mechanism installed in the steering column 220.

- the term “direction indicator” will be used as appropriate.
- the in-vehicle camera 17 is an imaging device that is installed in a front nose or a front bumper of the vehicle 10 and configured to image a predetermined area in front of the vehicle 10.
- the vehicle-mounted camera 17 is electrically connected to the ECU 100, and the captured front area is sent to the ECU 100 as image data at a constant or indefinite period.
- the ECU 100 can analyze the image data and acquire various data necessary for LKA control described later.
- LKA control is executed by the ECU 100 as one of the driving support controls of the vehicle 10.
- the LKA control is control for causing the vehicle 10 to follow the target travel path (lane), and is an example of “lane keeping control” according to the present invention.
- the LKA control is generally performed as follows.
- the ECU 100 determines whether or not the LKA mode is selected as a result of, for example, the operation of the operation button for activating the LKA control previously installed in the passenger compartment of the vehicle 10 being operated by the driver (that is, the “lane according to the present invention” It is an example of “maintenance request”.
- the ECU 100 is based on a white line (which does not have to be white) that defines the LKA target travel path, which is detected using image data sent from the in-vehicle camera 17.
- a white line which does not have to be white
- the curvature R that is, the reciprocal of the radius
- the lateral deviation Y between the white line and the vehicle 10 the lateral deviation Y between the white line and the vehicle 10
- the yaw angle deviation ⁇ between the white line and the vehicle 10 are calculated.
- various modes including a known image recognition algorithm can be applied to the calculation mode of the information required for the follow-up control of this type of target driving path, and since the correlation with the essential part of the invention is weak, it is touched here. Suppose there is nothing.
- the ECU 100 calculates a target lateral acceleration necessary for causing the vehicle 10 to follow the target travel path.
- the target lateral acceleration may be calculated according to various known algorithms or arithmetic expressions, or the curvature R, lateral deviation Y and yaw angle deviation ⁇ stored in advance in appropriate storage means such as a ROM. Reference may be made to a target lateral acceleration map using as a parameter.
- the ECU 100 calculates the LKA target assist torque, and controls the EPS actuator 300 based on the calculated LKA target assist torque, thereby assisting steering corresponding to the LKA target assist torque. Torque TA is generated.
- the VGRS actuator 500 is driven so that a change in the steering angle ⁇ st for causing the vehicle 10 to follow the target travel path does not appear as a change in behavior of the steering wheel 210 (that is, a change in the steering angle MA). Be controlled.
- the driver only needs to hold the steering wheel 210 almost, and the vehicle 10 can travel following the target travel path in a state where the occurrence of uncomfortable feeling is suppressed.
- LKA control is merely an example of control for causing the vehicle 10 to follow the target travel path, and its practical aspect is intended to adopt various known aspects.
- the ECU 100 is configured to stop this type of driving support without delay when the driver indicates the steering intention. It has become.
- the ECU 100 ends the LKA control when the steering wheel 210, the brake pedal, or the winker lever 16 is operated.
- the assist steering torque TA supplied by the EPS actuator 300 at that time is gradually reduced according to the vehicle speed V. That is, the gradually decreasing period becomes longer as the speed increases.
- the vehicle behavior is prevented from becoming unstable before and after the end of the LKA control.
- FIG. 2 is a flowchart of the LKA end control.
- step S101 determines whether or not the LKA control is being executed.
- step S101 determines whether or not the LKA control is being executed.
- step S102 determines whether or not a direction instruction operation via the winker lever 16 is occurring. If no direction instruction operation has occurred (step S102: NO), the process returns to step S101.
- step S200 the ECU 100 executes an LKA end determination process (step S200).
- the process returns to step S101, and a series of processes is repeated.
- the LKA end control is executed in this way.
- FIG. 3 is a flowchart of the LKA end control.
- the ECU 100 determines whether or not the indicated direction of the winker lever 16 is the same direction as the direction in which the assist steering torque TA (that is, the steering torque corresponding to the previous LKA target assist torque) is generated (step). S201). If the command direction is different from the direction in which the assist steering torque TA is generated (step S201: NO), the ECU 100 advances the process to step S204.
- step S201 when the indicated direction is the same direction as the steering torque TA (step S201: YES), the ECU 100 determines whether the steering angle MAdrv corresponding to the driver's steering input is equal to or less than the steering angle MAlka generated by the LKA control. Is determined (step S202).
- step S202: NO the steering angle MAdrv is larger than the steering angle MAlka (step S202: NO), that is, when the driver's steering input exceeding the control amount related to the LKA control occurs, the ECU 100 advances the process to step S204.
- step S203 determines whether or not the vehicle 10 has deviated from the target travel path related to the LKA control. If the vehicle 10 has not deviated from the target travel path (step S203: NO), the ECU 100 returns the process to step S202. If the vehicle 10 deviates from the target travel path (step S203: YES), the ECU 100 proceeds to step S204.
- step S204 LKA control is terminated.
- the LKA end determination process ends, and the process returns to the LKA end control.
- the LKA control when the LKA control is ended by the direction instruction operation by the winker lever 16, the LKA control is performed if the instruction direction of the winker lever 16 and the generation direction of the assist steering torque TA are different. Since the direction of the deflection generated in the vehicle 10 with the gradual decrease of the assist steering torque TA when the control is terminated is the same direction as the driver's steering intention, the LKA control is immediately performed under the judgment that there is no sense of incongruity. Is terminated. On the other hand, when the indicated direction and the direction in which the assist steering torque TA is generated are the same direction, the direction of deflection generated in the vehicle 10 with the gradual decrease of the assist steering torque TA when the LKA control is terminated is the driver's steering intention.
- the end of the LKA control is suspended until the steering angle MAdrv corresponding to the driver's steering input exceeds the steering angle MAlka by the LKA control.
- the driver's steering intention is already sufficiently reflected when the vehicle 10 deviates from the target travel path.
- the generation of the uncomfortable feeling accompanying the termination of the LKA control is negligible and the LKA control is terminated. For this reason, when the operation of the blinker lever 16 occurs, the LKA control can be accurately terminated.
- FIG. 4 is a flowchart of the LKA end determination process according to the second embodiment of the present invention.
- the same reference numerals are given to the same portions as those in FIG. 3, and the description thereof will be omitted as appropriate.
- the ECU 100 determines whether or not the steering torque MT as the driver's steering input has exceeded the steering torque threshold value MTth (step S301).
- the processing according to step S301 is repeatedly executed.
- the steering torque MT exceeds the steering torque threshold value MTth (step S301: YES)
- the ECU 100 ends the LKA control (step S204).
- FIG. 5 is a schematic characteristic diagram illustrating the relationship between the steering torque threshold MTth and the steering torque MT.
- the steering torque threshold value MTth is a function of the steering torque MT, and is set to be large in the region where the steering torque MT is small and small in the large region (note that there is a gradual decrease region as shown).
- the steering direction intended by the driver is the assist torque TA.
- the steering torque MT may be relatively small, and conversely, the steering direction intended by the driver (that is, the generation direction of the steering torque MT) is opposite to the generation direction of the assist torque TA.
- a relatively large steering torque MT is required.
- the vehicle 10 in a region where the steering torque MT is relatively small, the vehicle 10 is deflected in a direction different from the direction in which the steering torque MT is generated due to the gradual decrease of the assist torque TA due to the end of the LKA control. In an extremely large region, the vehicle 10 is deflected in the direction in which the steering torque MT is generated due to the gradual decrease of the assist torque TA due to the end of the LKA control.
- the steering torque threshold value MTth is set to be large, and the LKA control is performed until a correspondingly large steering torque MT (that is, corresponding to a clear driver's steering intention) is generated.
- the steering torque threshold value MTth is decreased (the vehicle 10 is steered in the desired direction by the assist steering torque TA, so there is no problem).
- the present invention can be applied to a vehicle that can execute lane keeping control using a steering mechanism that changes a steering angle without depending on a steering input of a driver.

Abstract
