Abstract

L’invention concerne un appareil et des procédés qui permettent de calibrer un retard dans un point d'accès sans fil pour déterminer la position d'une station mobile. Un procédé comprend la réception d’un paquet initial au niveau d’un dispositif d’écoute clandestine, la réception d’un paquet réponse (envoyé par une autre entité) au niveau dudit dispositif, le calcul d’une différence temporelle sur la base des temps d’arrivée des paquets, et l’envoi de la différence temporelle à une entité de détermination de position. Un autre procédé comprend l’envoi d’une requête à des dispositifs d’écoute clandestine appropriés pour l’envoi d’informations, la réception, à partir de chaque dispositif d’écoute clandestine approprié, d’une différence temporelle qui représente une différence du temps d’arrivée d’un paquet émis par le point d’accès sans fil et du temps d’arrivée d’un paquet émis par la station mobile, la détermination d’une estimation de retard de traitement sur la base des différences temporelles, et la détermination de la position de la station mobile sur la base de l’estimation du retard de traitement et des différences temporelles reçues.
