Definitions
- the present invention relates to a combined connector formed by stacking and connecting a plurality of connector housings vertically.
- FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of a conventional combined connector described in Patent Document 1.
- this conventional combined connector three connectors 210, 220, and 230 are stacked one above the other and joined together.
- each terminal 250 is inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber 241 from the rear end. And the lance latching recessed part 251 of each terminal 250 engages with the flexible lance 242 with which each terminal storage chamber 241 was equipped. As a result, each terminal 250 is primarily locked so as not to come out rearward.
- the connector housings 210A and 220A of the upper and middle connectors 210 and 220 have terminal locking convex portions 212 and 222 protruding from the lower surfaces thereof.
- the connector housings 220A and 230A of the middle and lower connectors 220 and 230 have insertion concave portions 221 and 231 into which the terminal locking convex portions 212 and 222 projecting from the lower surface of the upper connector housings 210A and 220A are inserted. Provide on each upper surface.
- each terminal 250 is secondarily locked so as not to come out rearward.
- the lower side of the lances 242 of the upper and middle connector housings 210A and 220A is open.
- the upper walls 223 and 233 of the lower connector housings 220 ⁇ / b> A and 230 ⁇ / b> A fit into the open portions of the lance 242.
- the lance 242 is restricted from bending.
- FIG. 2 and 3 show a conventional united connector described in Patent Document 2.
- FIG. In this conventional combined connector, two connectors 310 and 320 are stacked one above the other, and a cover 330 is further stacked on the uppermost part so as to be integrally coupled.
- Terminal locking projections 322 and 332 are provided on the lower surface of the housing of the upper connector 320 and the lower surface of the cover 330. Further, the terminal locking convex portion 322 of the upper connector 320 and the terminal locking convex portion 332 of the cover 330 enter the upper surface of the housing of the lower connector 310 and the upper surface of the housing of the lower connector 310, respectively. Insertion recesses are provided.
- the conventional combined connector shown in FIG. 1 prevents the terminal 250 of the upper connector 210 from coming off only by restricting the bending of the lance 242. Therefore, when a large pulling force acts on the terminal 250, the lance 242 may be damaged and the terminal 250 may be pulled out.
- the cover 330 uses the terminal locking projection 332 provided on the cover 330 to prevent the terminal 350 of the upper connector 320 from coming off. Therefore, the cover 330 is essential in addition to the connectors 310 and 320, and there is a problem that the number of parts increases.
