Abstract

 液相の蒸発操作をマイクロチップ上の操作として集積化できるマイクロチップを提供する。内部に気相の流路13を有するマイクロチップ10において、流路13の底部のプール部12に毛管力を利用して液相を分散させると共に、分散させた液相を溜め、プール部12に溜められた液相の少なくとも一部を蒸発させる。毛管力を利用することで、マイクロチップ10内の流路13の底部のプール部12に液相を分散させ、溜めることができる。しかも、蒸発操作のために流路13に気相を流したり、流路を真空引きしたりしても、プール部12に溜まった液相が表面張力によってプール部12にとどまる。このため、マイクロチップ10内での高効率での蒸発操作が実現できる。
