Abstract

 塗工あるいは塗工した後一軸延伸した際に光学補償機能を発現すると共に、その位相差の波長依存性の小さな光学補償膜を提供する。  マレイミド系樹脂からなる塗工膜であって、塗工膜の面内で直交する任意の2軸をx軸、y軸とし、面外方向をz軸とし、x軸方向の屈折率をnx、y軸方向の屈折率をny、z軸方向の屈折率をnzとした際の3次元屈折率関係がnx≒ny>nzであることを特徴とする光学補償膜;マレイミド系樹脂からなる塗工膜層(A)および延伸フィルム層(B)からなることを特徴とする光学補償フィルム;マレイミド系樹脂からなる塗工膜を一軸延伸してなる光学補償膜であって、塗工膜の延伸軸方向をx軸とし、それと直交する方向をy軸、面外方向をz軸とし、x軸方向の屈折率をnx4、y軸方向の屈折率をny4、z軸方向の屈折率をnz4とした際の3次元屈折率関係がnx4>ny4>nz4であることを特徴とする光学補償膜に関するものである。 【化1】 (ここで、R1は、炭素数1~18の直鎖状アルキル基,分岐状アルキル基,環状アルキル基、ハロゲン基、エーテル基、エステル基、アミド基を示す。)
