Abstract

Cette invention propose un dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides qui peut supprimer l'apparition d'un défaut dans un mode CA et un polymère pour un matériau de film d'alignement. Le dispositif à cristaux liquides comporte une paire de substrats, une couche de cristaux liquides contenant des molécules de cristal liquide entre la paire de substrats, et un film d'alignement sur la surface sur le côté couche de cristaux liquides d'au moins l'un des substrats. Le film d'alignement a été formé par disposition d'un film formé à l'aide d'un matériau de film d'alignement contenant un polymère comportant, en tant qu'unité constitutive indispensable, une première unité constitutive qui développe des propriétés pour commander l'alignement des molécules de cristal liquide lors de l'irradiation lumineuse, et une seconde unité constitutive qui peut développer des propriétés pour commander l'alignement des molécules de cristal liquide sans compter sur une irradiation lumineuse, et par l'exposition du film à un traitement d'alignement par irradiation lumineuse.
